Understandable!, thanks for replying and fixing it so fast! ^^'
sokolov  [author] 17 May @ 4:56am
It's a necessary evil otherwise the sprite would look horrendeously broken
精神分裂症 17 May @ 4:29am
It is, though it still removes the hat but that's fine
sokolov  [author] 17 May @ 3:37am
It should probably be fixed now
精神分裂症 17 May @ 2:27am
I think this mod causes your game to crash while trying to put on a suit. Well not crash but get an error which makes you need to restart-
sokolov  [author] 29 Mar @ 1:06pm
Is there even anything that needs an update? I don't recall there being anything that would break this mod and the previously mentioned errors should be fixed.
Wehrmachgt 29 Mar @ 1:03pm
This mod is a musthave, update it please
Kovak 4 Nov, 2024 @ 8:44am
When trying to put on a diving suit, errors are spammed into the console and the game ceases to be playable
TheStormQueen 25 Oct, 2024 @ 12:29pm
Hey! I wasn't able to get to my PC again until now, but I just checked and it idk what you did but it's fixed! Thank you so much dude! :D
sokolov  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 9:18am
Also the stolen version of my mod is nothing special but just an old version with old stats because there was a guy that really really really wanted me to update the mod, I updated it and then he got extremely upset that I included the Diving Suit nerfs that were included in April of this year.

I don't really care about it now and partially I'm glad that this whole thing happened as it reminded me I should think at least 10 times before I'd consider making a public mod, due to lunatics that wander the internet today and moderators which are essentially useless.
sokolov  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 8:56am
@TheStormQueen
I've remade the sprites a bit, maybe it'll be fixed now? I wasn't really sure what you meant by making hair transparent, I guess you meant the small seams/holes that were visible in the hair?

It seems to be looking fine now at least on my side, https://i.imgur.com/3MHuZYv.png
I'm going to be pushing the changes shortly so you could check for yourself as well.
TheStormQueen 25 Oct, 2024 @ 7:00am
Turning that off* sorry
TheStormQueen 25 Oct, 2024 @ 7:00am
Ok, sorry, one more message. It seems to be an issue with the alphaclipotherwearables parameter, but turning that on causes the hair to clip with the hat. This may honestly be what I do for myself, however, as I've no experience with Barotrauma modding (and not much coding experience as a whole) lol
TheStormQueen 25 Oct, 2024 @ 6:47am
Yeah it seems to be a problem with the mod itself. To be fair it's an issue with the stolen mod too so more reason to keep using this one as it has less gameplay changes lol. I'll likely just get used to it, but if you're not averse to looking into this mod's code again it'd be cool to see a potential fix and maybe an update for the new hats! :D
TheStormQueen 25 Oct, 2024 @ 6:42am
afaik it just seems to be a bug with the mod itself, but thanks for responding! I may do some tinkering later to see if I can find any potential conflicts. Regardless thanks for the response! Didn't think you would after the previous fiasco lol
sokolov  [author] 25 Oct, 2024 @ 12:37am
It's either due to a mod conflict or it just is what it is, this mod isn't really bugfree or anything and is more of a proof of concept than anything.
TheStormQueen 24 Oct, 2024 @ 8:59pm
Hey so I was just curious if you knew why I'm having issues with my hair being semi-transparent when I equip a hat. I really want to use this mod so that I can give my boyfriend a vanilla style first playthrough
Dynamoon  [developer] 13 May, 2024 @ 5:22am
This is the plagiarism rule, the problem is enforcing it. For us to act as arbiters in disputes like this would require intimate knowledge of the origins of all mods on the workshop, which is not practical in most cases. This case seems clearer, so I've also written a private comment on the other mod about it, and I hope they will add proper attribution in their mod, but that's the most direct action we can comfortably take in a dispute between modders.
sokolov  [author] 13 May, 2024 @ 5:07am
So much for the plagiarism rule.
Dynamoon  [developer] 13 May, 2024 @ 4:56am
Hi all, a friendly reminder that if you leverage someone else's mod in your own, we consider it good conduct to include some form of attribution or credit as a nod to the original author. However, we don't moderate possible duplicate mods, as it can be difficult for us to get to the bottom of a situation like this to be sure we're being fair. So instead we ask you all to be fair to each other.

> "We are going around circles here, and you say that you finished exams ( you were to busy back then ) but you also say that you were still studiying ( so again busy ) but it took you 5 minutes anyway !
So at the end your whole speech about the updates log and you being too busy to notice is just poor excuse for your rambling agenda ? What's the truth at the end of all that ?"

So you say we are going in circles yet you try to pull my leg and twist my words on me, to try to put all the blame on me instead just so you're the good guy in the secenario, how cute of you.

Again, I wanted to focus on my exams as I do not live terminally online as you seem to be, my future depended on that exam. It wasn't even a full week since the update released and I was going to update it asap when my exams ended, and I did.
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 1:21pm
> "That's not how you do things, you first say that you are on your way doing the fixes ( result is same, you take the time of saying it instead of deleting comments and not actually working on the fix )."

There isn't a right or wrong way of doing modding and everyone does it their own way, if you cannot comprehend it and instead try doing it your own way by having to steal the mod from someone and rebrand it as your own then you can go rightfully fuck yourself.
I would've been fine if you at least credited me instead of acting like an asshole just because I told you I didn't require your help.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 1:19pm
Koytar good for you if you would let someone treat you like shit but still show respect to them. We are not in the " Care Bears " realm here.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 1:17pm
I did not ever ignored things you say, since the begining but the only one who tried to make someone look bad is you about me despite the fact you acted like the last of the scumbags.
I am not twisting anyone's words, but you do imagine and say things your way that suits your declarations.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 1:17pm
If you do not do it for fame then stop being upset !
Yes I did tried to repost as I opened a discussion to summarize the issue to prevent a regular comment to be wiped off.
That's not how you do things, you first say that you are on your way doing the fixes ( result is same, you take the time of saying it instead of deleting comments and not actually working on the fix ).

We are going around circles here, and you say that you finished exams ( you were to busy back then ) but you also say that you were still studiying ( so again busy ) but it took you 5 minutes anyway !
So at the end your whole speech about the updates log and you being too busy to notice is just poor excuse for your rambling agenda ? What's the truth at the end of all that ?
Koytar 11 May, 2024 @ 1:04pm
> You do not know a thing about the case Koytar, if he had a better attitude towards me none of this would've happened. This is karma for you

Maybe, maybe not.

> I do not credit people who act trash when others try to help them the best they could ( as we all know modding is already time consuming enough )

I would credit regardless. Either he act like an ass or not, you don't look any better.
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 1:04pm
Also Koytar does know about the case as I didn't just simply tell him to just show up here, no.
He mods this game together with me, although most of our mods are just private use for our own private campaign runs as obviously releasing my mods to the public will end up in retarded situations where morons like you latch onto someone and bother them until the end of days.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 1:03pm
Koytar, of course I did and anyone would have done that when the others did it first. I am not a " Cuck ".

Don't you think that your pal is old enough to manage alone his brawls with others without you interfering and being irelevant ?
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 1:01pm
I removed the comments because I was underway on making fixes, therefore yours weren't necessary anymore.
Also again, for the infiniteth time, I am telling you that I do not need help on something as simple as a wrong texture, nor I want help unless I'd be stuck and THEN ask someone about it.
It literally takes 5 minutes to do, I am aware- and before you try to pull my leg and twist my words again I am telling you once more that I was focused on studying for my exams.

You're literally ignoring what I'm saying and trying to prove that I'm the absolute bad guy in this scenario just because I didn't want unrequested help, don't you?
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 1:01pm
You didn't try to repost your comments, you reuploaded my entire fucking mod and labeled it as yours on the Workshop, you moron.

I do not see it as necessary to respond to EVERY SINGLE COMMENT THAT I GET because do you honestly expect me to respond to something as simple as "thanks!" every time?
If someone has a problem or a request then I will respond, but otherwise its obviously not necessary as much as it is not necessary to comment.
I do not make mods for fame, I just like messing around with a game I love and sharing something I made by fondling around in spare time.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 1:00pm
You do not know a thing about the case Koytar, if he had a better attitude towards me none of this would've happened. This is karma for you.
I do not credit people who act trash when others try to help them the best they could ( as we all know modding is already time consuming enough )
Koytar 11 May, 2024 @ 12:57pm
> How would you expect people to understand you wipe off their comments without warnings so they would not try to reupload their comments ???

I could ask the same when you did the exact same move on your mod page, mh ?
Koytar 11 May, 2024 @ 12:55pm
>I wanted to save you time by pointing out my findings

Yet release the fix anyway when sokolov didn't planned to release the fix the nanosecond it was last commented on the mod's profile. This tells a lot.

>Pay ? Then opens an O.F man !

Ever considered Patreon ?

At the end of the day, mod's stolen. Didn't bothered to cover it up by modifying folders, files names, etc. The code is the exact same pre update.
People don't have time to correct the bug right away ? fucking wait. Mod's provided for free. As far as I know, there's no way to give sokolov dosh to support his work monetarily so he has no reason to prioritize mods over his real life, even if, in mindset, it was to help the modder.

You could've released it privately, or at the very least, directly credited sokolov's work on the description which you didn't. Don't be suprised if your "kindness" of that kind result on being pushed back.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 12:48pm
You said : " I'm happy when people are thankful for my mods but I am not obliged to thank every single person and neither I am obliged to respond to everything else at all. Again, everyone is different and you should understand this. "
It's not that you do not have the time, you do not feel obliged to.

When you act bad, don't pretend that people try to make you look bad. Only lowest quality person react your way. I know people like you exist, I understand it very well. But usually, these people do not try to play the victims because they do know they are not enjoyable persons.

You kept deleting the comments, I thought Steam was doing moderation about external links like Youtube. There was no reasons for my comments to dissapear... I understood then it was from your actions.
How would you expect people to understand you wipe off their comments without warnings so they would not try to reupload their comments ???
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 12:40pm
Didn't I just fucking tell you I was too busy because I was studying for my exams?

I only respond to notify people that I fixed something they requested, not discuss it with them, not promise them anything. Only when I did something. Because actions speak more than words.

Telling me that the slipsuit is broken was ENOUGH. I did not require your help with anything nor I asked you for help regarding anything, for all I know you're just projecting and trying to twist my words against me because you're unable to handle who I am as a person so you're trying to make me look bad.

You also commented several times in a row because you keep trying to correct your grammar or whatever it is youre trying to do. I have comment notifications enabled and have some dude comment like 5-7 times in a timespan of 10 minutes is annoying.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 12:30pm
Yeah, you basically show up only when you're pissed off.
You didn't said that, you basically told me to go to hell and that I spammed you.
Anyone would have been upset by your behavior but you are too entitled ( and misraised by your parents ) to admit it !
But if I didn't said anything you would have not noticed, and you'd having a mod that do not correspond to your ideas about respecting intends of devellopers and without knowing it...
So you can't use that to argue here.
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 12:14pm
I'm happy when people are thankful for my mods but I am not obliged to thank every single person and neither I am obliged to respond to everything else at all. Again, everyone is different and you should understand this.
I would've told you that I updated the mod and I did, also telling you that I do not require any help in the future as I like to resolve things my way.
But then you got upset about me rejecting help and that I added the Blood in The Water nerfs and then proceeded to be an asshole and make your own version.

Also no, I was a very busy person, there was just a period of time where I was busy because of my exams, if you haven't read that part. The update dropped at the end of April and my exams were at start of May, do you think I would drop studying just to update something instantly?

My exams were over so I updated the mod, simple as that.
And again, having someone lay out my work for me is boring and I v ery much prefer fixing my own mods myself.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 12:11pm
I did not claimed that it was my work, it's clearly said that it's based on someone else's but this guy ( YOU ) was such rude and ungrateful that I decided to release my version of the mod.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 12:06pm
Pay ? Then opens an O.F man !
Any regular modder is happy when people praise their work. I was first to show support for that mod. I was very glad that you made it. You can't even thank people for leaving kind comments ! Funny how you react that fast now, means that you do have time to thank people even if it's not an obligation.

So you are bascically a very busy person, so that's why people helping for saving you time is very conveniant for you. But as you are toxic as F* you just rage over helpers.

That was no @$$hole route at all, but you acted like one so I did too !
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 11:59am
I was in a argumentt like this before with an another modder here but in the end I realized my mistake and chose to instead make my own versions of their mods that suit my needs, the catch here is that they are all private on my profile. Only my friends can access those.
I am not trying to steal their work, I am not claiming their work as mine and I do not want to detract attention from their original work.
I just want to fix things that I think need fixing for me to enjoy playing with them, ME ALONE.

Currently I have my own forks of Barotraumatic and Enhanced Armaments which I modified under my profile.

You, on the other hand have chosen to be a complete fucking asshole and claim my work as yours just because you think you're some kind of hero and peacekeeper of modding.
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 11:57am
I was busy with exams therefore I wasn't able to dedicate time towards reading the actual xml changes the diving suits received.
Unfortunately enough you've wrote a comment here the literal night before my final exam, at 11pm.
Do you honestly think I would've sprung up and raced to my PC to fix something within 5 minutes of someone posting a bug report?
Do you think that the other 40 people care about this mod enough as you for some reason?

If you could've waited at least like 6-12 hours then this whole situation could've been avoided.
Again, not everyone is the same and not everyone will react to things the same nor will behave the way you expect them to.
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 11:57am
"no respect for a supporter" oh my bad, have you even paid me for my work? why should I respect someone that doesn't give me anything for my work?

I did not say that you WERE nagging me, I said that you COULD nag me if I haven't responded to you for a day or two to remind me but instead you took the asshole route to do my work for me within 50 FUCKING MINUTES since you made your report.
I like fixing things (especially the ones I fucked up) so having my work done for me was rude and quite essentially unfun and a waste of time to me.

All you do here is twist my words or misunderstand my words since your english doesn't seem that good.
I endorse the developer choice if you'd read my posts on the discussions of this game, especially in suggestions subforum.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 11:41am
I did not nagged at all ! I have just found out what was wrong and reported it to you like any supporter would do, I even proposed quick fix for anyone in case you had not the time to take care of that yourself.
But it hurted your big ego, and shown no respect for a supporter. I never seen such bad behavior in any modding community ever !
You get what you do, simple as that.

I wasn't angry at all ( but you were by the fact you deleted every comment I was doing ), I have only expressed my dislike over your choices. But you can't stomach criticism.
Just to make things clear, it would have stayed that way ( with no nerfing like vanilla ) if I didn't reported anything... Do not act like the superhero modder here who adapts mods after every updates ( and endorsing developer choice ).
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 11:31am
I have eyes, I can look at it myself, in fact I love to resolve such things myself without having someone hold my hand.
Everyone is different and not everyone will act the same as you may expect, I don't know why you haven't understood this yet. You just have to accept it and move on instead of being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole for no reason.
You could have waited at least like a day or two to THEN nag me about updating the mod but noooo, you had to do it 50 minutes after you've commented about your problem for the first time.

Besides, YOU got angry because I added the speed nerfs to the mod from Blood In The Water Update since it wasn't updated for that version yet.
YOU wanted me to use YOUR changes in MY mod and when I didn't use them YOU got angry.
YOU wanted ME to keep the pre-nerf movement speeds in THIS mod and YOU got angry.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 11:26am
I wanted to save you time by pointing out my findings, anyone would have been thankful except you. This tells a lot. And you expected me to be more sport than you did...
Your ignorance is politeness.
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 11:21am
I did not ask for your help, nor wanted any help. You telling me that the slipsuit was incorrect was enough for me, yet you let your ignorance take over and try to play some modding superhero.
Johnny Bifoutre 11 May, 2024 @ 11:19am
Like if your boyfriend was a gentleman. I kindly provided help for an error on his mod, he treated me like $hit. In that regard, I will not treat him better
sokolov  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 10:55am
I won't do what you want, you're just upset because I didn't use YOUR fixes for MY mod.
If you don't like the speed nerfs that Blood In The Water introduced then go cry me a river, that's how the game is intended to be played by the developers.
Koytar 11 May, 2024 @ 10:53am
> Too bad

nexusmod user spotted
Koytar 11 May, 2024 @ 10:53am
> People will credit you

No. They won't. Unless they are actual gentleman that do ask permission first instead of reposting the stuff an hour after reporting the issue.

You couldn't wait for him to do the changes and uploaded it anyway. That is mod stealing even though all you did is fixing it. If you at least had the spine to credit it wouldn't be hard to swallow. But you didn't, because you don't care.
