Glad to hear, good luck with what you are up to these days.

yes and no
I've not canned the project, but other mods (and life) are higher priority for me right now. I wouldn't expect an update for this mod to come for a good bit, but when I have time I'll be coming back to this and working on it some more.

personally would name the depth charges something like hedgehogs instead since that was a type of depth charge but since there is no depth in space so it fits a bit better

I've been working on a map on and off, its the one in some of the preview images, thats a very stormy map. Part of this maps design is clouds that you can enter that hide you from enemy radar, but blind your own and some of them will damage you if you stay within them. This would allow for some degree of simulating a thermocline.

Converting nebulous into something with pressure and a surface layer is somewhat out of my current capabilities, as that would be a major code overhall and I cant (currently) code. Plans are being made to learn to meet some of the planned features though!

This seems really cool. Do you have any plans to attempt to convert outer space to being under water with a surface at all? Having depth pressure too worry about seems like it could be fun too, and would give different tactical roles to subs and surface vessels. Would also really like to see some big balance changes for surface/subs, such as for submarines very limited pd (possibly renamed to AA?) that is only usable when surfaced against incoming airborne threats.

everytime i hear "Silent Thunder" I just think of WT
Tuna  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 10:15am
Well Warthunder is not the only one to use the name in conjunction with submarines, but partially yes.

question :
The mod name inspired from that one event in WT?

time to go play some cold waters as a warmup

That mod is both linked on the steam page as a required item, and listed as a dependency in game. Steam and the in game mod loader should prompt you to install the dependency. If you dont have it then the mod might act unpredictably as its used for the cavitation effects.

It says it needs another mod to function
