After some testing, i believe this mod now CTD's on start up after patch 5.2.0!

Just a heads up, as per the Aug 6th hotfix, unless I just have a conflict somewhere, this mod causes CTD on startup.

hello i noticed that the unit doesn´t benefit from the breechloaders tech even though it´s a gunpowder unit either that or you just forgot to let it show that it is affected (tech tree Tzarina Katarin - The Land )

It works yes, but since they use custom animatuons, the reloads don't work for this unit. I did add a pseudo reload sound effect for it.

Every single one of your mods is a treat, Poljanan! These look amazing and compliment the roster quite well!

Might not be the appropiate to ask in a Kislev mod, but is the Steppe culture mod still being worked on? It would perfect the Easter zone of the map, imo! Having actual fantasy Huns/Mongols attacking the Bastion and not just regular Viking Norscans.

Update:
- Updated the sound effects for the guns to sound meatier (they use iron hail gun sfx now). Also added a clicking sound after every shot for a psuedo reload effect.

Ah, after playing for an extensive amount of time on the campaign, I can say that the unit definitely has its niche and doesn't seem to overlap with Ambushers. Ambushers are likely to perform better in prolonged combat, especially in massive fights, due to being able to shoot from overhead your own troops while staying in cover. It becomes trickier on the other hand to micro Okhotniki in such situations and since they have lower model counts, they won't be putting in the same performance as Streltsi.They are however, pretty good in sniping key targets during the beginning of the battle, like artillery pieces and weapons crew, before falling back to your main battle lines.

One more suggestion is changing stance from timed to infinite. It would make them stronger, but now if you order attack and stop paying attention they might change position after change in range, leading to them leaving safe position and possibly getting in some trouble. It might be enough to lower unit size a bit.

implementation in style of TTC could be great, like +1 or +2 for each built T3 barracks for example could prevent this from becoming doomstack, or at least increase time it takes to make it doomstack :D

Shades (greatswords) are OP too and they are 80 :D in my opinion rock>paper>scissor balance is better then NerfHammer applied to everything.

That's probably due to some uneven elevation. If they have a clear shot while on a flat ground or above an incline and in organized formation their shots are more evenly distrubited against the target unit. If you are fighting the AI, they tend to go after single entities first which is probably why the bullets seem like they target the center. They are probably not aiming at the unit you are thinking but the general or hero behind or in front of them.

when they shoot, every soldier in the unit aim for single guy in the center of the enemy unit. is it possible to fix them so they aim for random soldiers in enemy unit instead of same guy in the center?

other than that, it's amazing mod, wish there were more unit mods like this for Kislev.

Thanks for the feed back! The unit should be more or less balanced now.
Update:
- Added a new projectile display for the Okhotniki
- Reduced mass and penetration, so enemy targets shouldn't be blown off their feet anymore unless killed on impact

Okhotniki will still win most firefights due to range and stealth advantage but on a prolonged engagement at close counters, they will lose against Streltsi and other similar conventional riflemen due to vastly inferior numbers.

I did a little comparsion with streltsi and they more or less did trice the damage, kills and gold value (vs shielded Khorne warriors). Personally I'd prefer if they were Jezzails/ Crane gunners for Kislev to fill a gap not be a straight upgrade, but I guess there already is a mod for this.
So the only thing I'd like toned down is knockback, those are black gunpowder guns not a .50 BMG.
