this character sucks

Character is really frustrating to play. They've got some good attacks in neutral, but have an absolutely horrific combo game; even when I've landed decent combo strong somehow each attack just does like no damage. Supers are horrendous; even if you somehow land them with your mediocre hitstun they do like no damage, and some of the specials take like forty frames to go off with being able to use free cancels on. Some really weird stuff like burst recharging really fast and all the aerials are just grounded attacks but in the air.

Kind of a shame since the attacks that are there are at least decently animated, and the spear concept is cool. Besides the power level being low which isn't that big of a deal, having some strong neutral moves that do no damage with no combos can lead to really long, boring games.

I feel like this mod was made by someone who just hasn't played Ruina. It's based off of Xiao but is named Zwei (even though there's already a Zwei association???) and has Blazing Strike (a move exclusive to Phillip) and Fourth Match Flame (Scorched Girl EGO) for some reason despite the fact Xiao has a full list of moves like the Liu pages such as inner ardor and single point stab along with like 9 unique pages exclusive to her awakened ego

feels sad this stopped getting updated.

character needs some more moves imo, they really don't have a lot to work with for combos, and it also feels really hard to start combos as well

Cool character and concept, not as great of an execution. As stated by TheTravelingGuy, there's just so much potential here but so very little actual ways to tamper into it. Can't DI properly out of moves, most of the time if you don't quite literally wait till sadness it'll be hard to get anything going with this one. Why such a big frame consumption on a ranged attack that won't even deal a good ammount of damage?

Also I think something is wrong with how they land. If they hit the ground mid combo they become invincible no matter how many frames are left. You cant hit them until they fully stand back up

Meteor (34f), Flame Wave(30f) and Flaming (32f) need to have their frames halved to be anywhere close to usable. Fourth Match Flame(21f) definitely needs an improvement whether it be armor, even more range or to be free cancellable. Iron Lotus should automatically go through if it takes a hit considering the meter cost and incredibly long startup (29f). Lack of air grab and dodge makes her unusable close range in the air. I really, really want to love this character but GOD DAMN they're absurdly slow and are missing some essential tools in their kit. Having infinite armor after an install, a variable guard break which really shouldn't be a thing and jank damage over time doesn't make up for the missing parts of their kit

mod has a ton of potential that i'd love to see happen
