why cant i craft the gem hearts when i'm near trees
PrelawGunmir 11 Jun @ 2:21pm
I can't craft the gem hearts when I'm near trees. Does it have to be a specific tree or something?

what does the hard heart do
Goob  [author] 26 Dec, 2024 @ 6:58pm
So because you would want to pair this mod with other content mods that bring additional bosses and challenges, you'll find that the extra health does add a quite a bit, but still keeps a balance.

Additionally, if you realize things are getting too easy, you can reset the non-vanilla hearts using the "Hard Heart", which can be crafted at an altar for free. However, doing so will require you to re-obtain and reuse all of the hearts you previously had to get back to where you once were. There is no way to undo this....

Although, maybe that is an idea to add, like a consumable that temporarily removes all the heart benefits. I'll add it to my list of planned changes.

nvm i saw the last image. yeah, so much for "without being unbalanced"
riley_ 20 Dec, 2024 @ 3:32pm
so does this pevent you from using normal life crystals and force you to use these new ones? or is it just more max health than you normally have?
evil moth 2 Dec, 2024 @ 6:04pm
y'know, i thought this mod was just for people with skill issues until i added more than just two major content mods to one playthrough

Does this mod work with calamity?
kingbenty110 15 Oct, 2024 @ 9:07am
my question how many hearts are there
Lex_Gamer 13 Oct, 2024 @ 3:31am
add support for munchies pls
face planter 29 Aug, 2024 @ 8:45am
i would like to request support for the "Munchies - Consumables Checklist" mod, they say they use something named "calls" and tell us to ask you to "call in" to add support
Goob  [author] 27 Jun, 2024 @ 5:05am
I like that idea for the most part, and in fact, a lot of those suggestions are things I've been changing in the past week. Only thing that I would really change with that list is that I would add Fossil to the pre-boss list since the desert is right there, and you only need an Extractinator. It is usually one of the first hearts you can get.

And I'm also trying to spread them out across as many crafting tables as I can, based on what might logically make sense (stone = workbench, wood = sawmill, iron = furnace).

I'm also considering progression when making those decisions, so materials use the upgraded version of the crafting station that is usually obtained at around the same time you would start crafting with the materials.

How about this, break them up into more tiers, instead of Pre-hardmode and hardmode having it like something below.

Preboss would only be able to craft Stone, Wooden, and Copper-Gold hearts using a regular anvil (This excludes the evil biome variants of stone and wood)

Post EoC: Evil Biome Variants from the above as well as Demonite/Crimtane and Meteorite using a demon altar.

Post Skeletron: Gems, Fossil and the various building materials ones using the Alchemy table or Bewitching table

Post WoF: Hellstone, Obsidian, Cobalt, Light and Night using a hellforge.

Post Mech Boss: Palladium, Mythril, Titanium, Flight, Ectoplasm, Pearlstone, Pearlwood, and Pearlsand using the Blend-O-Matic

Post Plantera/Golem: Chlorophyte, Cog, Crystal, Discord, Rainbow, Pink Ice, Spooky Wood and Bubble using Auto-Hammer

Post Moonlord: Everything else that I didn't name above using the Ancient Manipulator

I think a single crafting station would be too simple, and the mod would lose a bit of its adventure value. Instead, I was thinking for gemstones, I could do the Extractinator or Heavy Work Bench.
Masqueerade 24 Jun, 2024 @ 5:32am
Piggybacking off of what Warink said, why not use the cooking pot as the main crafting station? How does that old adage go? "The way to someone's heart is through their stomach?" - Abraham Lincoln (circa. 1111 BC(E))
Warink 24 Jun, 2024 @ 2:36am
Thanks for response, crafting stations for some hearts are a good idea in my opinion, maybe it just needs a different one; something that already exists or completely new one.

So far, mod feels great, fair and enjoyable to play
Goob  [author] 24 Jun, 2024 @ 2:11am
Yeah, you do need to be near the actual tree for that. As a temporary fix, I'll add an option to the mod config that disables the requirement of crafting station, and I'll have it set to false by default. And now that I'm thinking about it, that would be a good idea to have anyway, so I'll leave it in.

Once that's done, I'll look into creating a more permanent solution that doesn't involve completely turning off the crafting station requirement.
Warink 23 Jun, 2024 @ 4:49am
hello, looked through recipe browser all the hearts this mod adds and found out something odd.
all gem hearts require "tree" as crafting station. In magic storage they don't craft it by it's own and i doubt "tree statue" would work.

do i need to craft them near the actual tree?
Goob  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 11:35am
The log files are always created for you as the game runs. They can be found at [Your Steam Library]\steamapps\common\tModLoader\tModLoader-Logs. I need the one that is named "client.log".

So far, I have only received one log file regarding the search error, which I can now confirm has been fixed.
Khroniclas 15 May, 2024 @ 2:24am
I have the same issue as Kiyo. Sadly idk how to make such log files.
Goob  [author] 13 May, 2024 @ 8:24pm
Kiyoshime, the log file would also help, but that is likely due to a conflict with another one of your mods as this mod does not modify the "can pick up" behavior.
Kiyo! 11 May, 2024 @ 7:54pm
i'm having an issue with multiplayer - when hearts are dropped on the ground, from a boss or a player, you cannot pick them up
CrimsonVexiduos 28 Apr, 2024 @ 1:39pm
awesome, i just wanted to make a check list i can discover the bonuses as i find them thanks :D
Goob  [author] 28 Apr, 2024 @ 7:27am
I have added a list of hearts to a discussion post. It only lists the names of the hearts, if you want to know their bonuses or tooltips, either view them in a recipe browser or unlock them as you play.
CrimsonVexiduos 27 Apr, 2024 @ 4:53am
is there a list of all the different hearts to obtain?
Goob  [author] 7 Apr, 2024 @ 1:02pm
This mod was created from the original mod's source assets. There are no hearts missing unless they were removed from the source at the time this mod was created.

And I don't understand what you mean by "the cross mods".
9Ryanboi 6 Apr, 2024 @ 8:46pm
can you please add the rest of the hearts from the original along side the cross mods plz
Blayde 17 Mar, 2024 @ 11:00am
I see. Thank you
Goob  [author] 14 Mar, 2024 @ 12:19am
The hard heart requires you to be in front of a demon/crimson altar, and it shouldn't cost anything. And if you want it to require more materials to craft a heart, you need to set the recipe difficulty in your config. By default, it is set to 1, but it can go up to 100.
Blayde 13 Mar, 2024 @ 1:57pm
Every heart cost 1 of the material required for it and the hard heart is crafted using the hard heart making it unobtainable
Tommy 10 Mar, 2024 @ 9:43am
very cool :) glad i found it.
Goob  [author] 9 Mar, 2024 @ 8:15am
I had to rewrite all of the description code to update it to 1.4.4, so sounds like I missed that, but I can confirm that it won't let you use the heart if you have it in your hand. I'll fix this, but I still like the idea of having a checklist, so I'll add that too.
Donnchadh-32 9 Mar, 2024 @ 7:03am
I believe the original mod had an option to show in a Heart's item description that you've consumed the max amount of that heart you could so maybe you can look at that?
Goob  [author] 8 Mar, 2024 @ 9:28am
That's a good idea, I'll look into that.
Wolfhearth 8 Mar, 2024 @ 12:42am
Will you add a checklist so we can easily see which ones we have already consumed?
Owl 7 Mar, 2024 @ 9:28am
