Cackled like a super-villain at the end.
Mwahahahaha!!! >:3
There were a lot of things we had to realize for the 5 paintings puzzle:
1. Computer and artist paintings were not the same
2. There were two paintings that seemed to be mirrored, but only one was a true mirror.
3. The 8 paintings on the wall do not belong to the artist, bur rather the captor (I think?). So, the mimic refers to mimicing one of those 8. We originally thought "mimic" meant it mimic-ed one of the other 4.
4. We thought unique meant the painting that looked most different from the others (the tree), but it wasn't. Maybe "variant" would be a better name for this painting.
Also, some might not realize they need to click on the checkered square in the last set of puzzles.
Did finish after reset
we ran into the same issue as the previous commenter. without spoiling anything: in the last section of the very last puzzle a piece needs to be rotated a certain way, even though it looks the same regardless of rotation. hope that helps!
However, we encountered the same bug that a previous user mentioned. It seems the issue is with the four-way intersection piece in the bottom left corner. After I solved the puzzle, I rotated this piece, and it triggered the completion of the level.
