@Dr. Igor Dolvich thanks man i know that the food storage stuff is really hard to work with ive seen other mod makers complain about it a bit. I appreciate you getting back to me about it.

I can try to edit the Storage and see if that works. I'm not sure what caused it to break, but it could've been the Limb changes themselves to make them work as intended, which causes the Storage to stop working the way it did previously.

Thank you for letting me know this broke, I never play as Cannibals so I had no idea lol

@Vozrima Is there any way you could adjust one thing about simple cannibalism? Just make the limb storage building for it act as a food storage. All the other food items in that mod are just a pain to make and i found that just eating the limbs only is the least micro-intensive that mod could get. I believe the limb storage is meant to function as a food storage but it doesnt work that way anymore. the AI ignores it.

If you are able to share the changes you made after testing and such, I'll merge it into this (or you can upload it to the workshop and I'll add it to the collection!)

Floating Bodies/Objects seems to be a thing with Kenshi's physics, since other things tend to float in the air if you disassemble XYZ that was holding the object. It might not be fixable, unless you can figure out RE_Kenshi's physics implementation (there's like 1 mod on the workshop that is an example by Cattrina ). You can probably reach out to them on the Community discord if you are particularly wanting to try and fix it lol.

There is also a Kaizo patch that is on the roleplay collection, but you can send it along too, since it's really mostly for Cannibal Hunting (my other mod)

I tried Indepth Cannibals: Freedom and liked it but I still prefer the vibe of Simple Cannibalism. So I took what I liked from Freedom and added it to this mod! Mainly, I made the Cooking Poles require no resources to build and are created instantly likes campfires. This makes it easier to delete and rebuild them whenever you have armless, floating corpses (which is also an issue in Freedom).

Also, I made all of the cooked Cannibal food edible to everyone. Now vanilla and custom races can eat the cooked cannibal food if you want to "convert" them to it.

Additionally, I forgot about Kaizo! Kaizo added a ton of cannibals and none of them were covered by Simple Cannibalism. So, I went ahead and made a patch for them, too.

This fixes the mod for me but it's almost a new experience! Would you like to take a look at it? I could also upload it as a UWE+Kaizo Simple Cannibalism patch and re-balance mod but I'm reluctant to do so since it still includes your original work.

Actually having trouble finding you on Discord! So here's the mod file for anyone who wants it, or if you want to upload it here.

As a note, I did try to fix the floating corpse issue caused by the original mod and was unable to do so. You still have to dismantle the pole after it cooks someone then save and reload to cause the limbless body to stop floating in the air. It's really weird and kind of slows down cooking a bit too much for my tastes.

I'm going to look at Cannibals: Freedom and see how easy it would be to make a UWE Patch. If it's less buggy, I may end up using that instead.

It's all good @Dr. Igor Dolvich; I switched over to using Indepth Cannibals: Freedom by Lawh and that's basically been a treat so far, asides from general but dismissible issues between the added UWE races and a few other modded races I'm using on top of it like cannibals expanded or whatever added Cannibal Nailbiters and so on.

Would still absolutely prefer the changes Vozrima made though being added to this, but regardless cheers.

Doing a cannibal run with your mod collection and noticed none of the UWE races have their limbs set to restricted food items like the vanilla races do. Also, tried a Wrath of the Fog run and about the only thing you can actually eat are people's hearts! While fun, a bit hard to keep a group nourished on just that.

So I made an update to this mod that added all the UWE races to food items (same stats as their vanilla counterparts) and added them to the list of food cannibals can eat. Also I went ahead and added all the cannibal food items and severed limbs to the list of food items Deadhive can eat. Well, except other Deadhive limbs since you don't see them eat each other.

Also, went ahead and doubled the ration pack's nutritional value since Akrotluv pointed out how low it is. Going to test if that's a good balance or if it should be lowered.

Anyway, I mainly did this for personal use but would you like a copy of the edits I made?

Technically, thanks to UWE, the tribal stone mine is now stupidly easy to find, but *technically* it's in the wrong category because it's just in the vanilla mining cat. Personally, would prefer everything to just be in the category for Cannibalism.

The biggest issue though, putting people onto the cooking pole to convert them to the "human remains" item, is insanely buggy. Their limbs pop off at the right damage thresholds, but if allowed to completely "lose" their head and chest, they bug out and the corpse basically remains floating there, lootable but otherwise impossible to screw with, but the cooking pole is freed up for another de-limbing.
A fix the same user reported the bug with, is to save, dismantle the cooking pole, then reload; but ye'know, that's considerably buggy workaround and god knows what might be happening with the game's garbage collection. That and Orkan's titties, humanoid remains are a major part of the food recipes and some buildings...

By extension, new recruits don't become cannibals either. Automating the cooking pole would be useful to, but would probs be a lot trickier considering it requires living/dead humanoid corpses (personally prefer dead only) to be picked up from cages/ground, placed on the cooking pole, then possibly taking the humanoid remains away.
Corpseworms storage isn't set up for automatic retrieval for other crafts (they are required to cook the edible Crispworms some medicine IIRC). Humanoid Remains Storage, limb storages, and probably more things aren't probably set-up for the automated AI crafting tasks.
Almost all of the storage containers are described as being for corpseworms or has blank text.
The Tribal Refinement table requires no Tribal Material Blocks to create regular Material Blocks, effectively causing free and infinite Material Block generation (and it's pretty quick at that too).

Nice, but there's multiple Chosen Cannibal starts to do with different sub-factions. Fairly certain I started as a part of the GWH and didn't have Cannibal Traditions pre-researched. There's like 3 or 4 scenarios that change which main cannibal faction you belong to but otherwise function identically and most likely needs updating for the Cannibal Traditions research.

There's also a bunch of pretty big bugs in Simple Cannibalism, that just aren't going to get fixed any day soon. In no real order;
Cannibal Ration Pack is only 4nu better than the combined items to make the ration packs (debatably not a bug, but still annoys some).
Cannibalism eating in general is restricted to only the Cannibal race group, which kinda screws every character that isn't a cannibal (and might be a very odd thing whether it toggles for other characters or not, or if there's even a way to make others into cannibals).

I'm guessing you'd have to make everything yourself since pretty much no one would trade/talk to you lol, never tried a Fogmen/Cannibal playthrough myself
