There must be a way to reset the thirdperson cvars. It must be one that my mod doesn't touch/change. See if there is a way to reset all cvars, you could try restoring the game caches and if you cannot find any way, probably deleting all files and reinstalling Left 4 Dead 2 should fix that.

3rd person v2. the mod had me go into the console and change the camera and stuff but one time i boot up the game and it just didnt work. would face my person instead of behind me. and idk how to fix it

Did you extract it inside the cfg folder: Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg ? Make sure the autoexec is working, you could try opening the console and typing "exec autoexec".

Lastly this mod works only on maps where cheats are enabled, for example when you start a campaign from the console or a custom server with friends. Even then it should activate even if (broken).
