Some maps may have metal textures but not actual be a metal material, which is why I've decided that adding such a feature isn't worth it. :steamsad:

Yea it's a game issue, I believe this issue even exists in Half Life 1.

Unfortunately that's how Garry's Mod lighting works, and it is most common with dynamic-lights, which this addon uses.

ive been having this issue where if any light reaches a prop or object, the entire object becomes brighter, does anyone know how to fix it?

You are correct, however when this addon is used under the right circumstances, it can add a good amount of realism.

i think in real life muzzle flash produces light, not place where the bullet lands

I don't think that tracers are entities, meaning I couldn't easily add a dynamic light to them. It would most likely require specific code for each weapon to work / look good.

This addon is best for weapons that are intended to be bright, such as Star Wars weapons.

This is a cool idea, but would not be perfect considering that some maps/objects might have different materials using a metal texture.

Yes, this addon works with other addons too. This is because it uses the EntityFireBullets hook, which many weapon addons use too.

Realism in tags...
