I think that for this mod it is necessary to make a change to the "killer" ability. Because auto-reload after control eliminates the need for having magazines (and this ability is often taken). For example, it would be more acceptable if there is not an auto-reload, but a 50% AP discount on reloading after control on the turn after applying control.
And in principle, the mechanics of the cost of reloading without magazines is not very clear. Quite often I notice that reloading with ammo from pouches costs not much more than using magazines, and sometimes even the same.
It seems that using the mod does not change the gameplay in favor of using magazines, since manual reloading has remained a fairly convenient option.

@comradeCadaver I think it would be, most of my experience is that weirdness like that tends to be a conflict, and often the culprit can be somewhat uninitiative (example; ToG underbarrel grenade launcher completely broke when I had a mod that enabled scrapping of explosives). My main source of magazine weirdness has been using this mod, ToG+Ratio Patch and Revised Components, the latter of which doesn't play nice with ToG at all. I don't know if you are using any of those, just giving my experience in the hope it might help you with your issue.

ever run into a bug where when you try to reload magazines it uses the ammo from the stack but the mag remains empty? Kinda frustrating at the moment, but it's likely a conflict with another mod

This is a really great mod but just wondering if their is a way to reload all mags after a battle instead of just the one in the gun. If not would their be a way to make it do as such? Sometimes i'd go into battle forgetting to manually load them after a fight and itll cause me all kinds of trouble lol.

I don't know if it is due to this mod but the AK74 extended mag loads 7.65x39 even though description is correct that it should be 5.45x39.

Hi guys! I want to say that I love your Mod and really appreciate all the great work you are doing!

I'd like to ask two questions concerning changes/additional functions to this mod:
1. Would it be possible to add two different sound-effects to the different ways of reloading? (e.g. the mag-reload-sound when reloading with magazines and the bullet-clinking-sound when reloading manually)
2. Would it be possible to change the manual reload to something that not only uses a few more APs but really takes time - something like an action similar to overwatch, where you have to spend a whole turn's AP to reload the gun? Because taking 30 bullets out of your pocket and manually loading them into a mag before you can insert it into the weapon is a rather time consuming thing to do...

But anyway: I really like your work! Thank you for this Mod!

@razvedchiki you can no longer craft magazines. You can buy magazines in Bobby Rays and swap them.

@p6kocka I noticed that some of the things from Tons of Components were sometimes OP compared to GBO (suppressors mainly having zero noise instead of just reduced). I just don't use them...

@Crazed Weevil can you sent me on discord log file from when the Thugs dropeed the error chips? Best if with CUAE debug mod option ON from a save from before you meet those thugs in satelite view and then start a conflict with them(to trigger CUAE logic).

I also use a modified version of Sir Ni's Hat of Tricks mod (I removed his UI changes so Revised Tactical Gear II works, very simple to do yourself if you want that mod as well)

I haven't got that far into the campaign yet but so far so good.

The only problems I've had is with enemies of the 'Thug' group which have been dropping 'Code Error' chips when killed (I think it is due to the attachments that their weapons spawning with), and a few mismatched calibres (which have since been fixed).

You need to have ammo in none-backpack merc inventory, you cannot use ammo from squad bag and from backpacks during combat. Also there is a mini submenu from which you have to select which ammo to use for reloading after clicking at the reload button.

I have no idea what i am missing but wih revised mags II mod i cant reload any weapon during combat? I use only revised gear II ang mag II mods. Do i need something more or is there some kind of option i should use? I woul very appreciate any sugestions and help. Thank you

Sorry, I should have been more specific, the problems I have don't seem to be related to this mod but one of the other ones I listed working together. So far I've not had any magazine related issues.

Having said that though, would it be possible to make it so magazines can be dropped in the Squad Bag? Or have it as an option to do so?

I played with GBO and Revisited Gear. pre released GBO + zulib (bullets in mag slots) I didnt really used Mags items much.

There are improvements in this regard in the newest GBO patch and it should work much better. You can try playing it as we need more people testing and more feedback, it looked ok in limitted testing I made with it.

With the recent updates to Zulib & GBO, do you have any plans to make this compatible with Zulib & GBO now? Also, I know they aren't your mods but would the Revised Magazines II patches for Tons of Guns & Masters of War interfere with the GBO patches for those two mods?

No, I installed no any mods, which alter weapon caliber. I've provided screenshots with AK-74 magazine fields from your mode. More over, an other mode should not change fields in your modification.

@michalcylko I think you use a mod that changes weapon caliber. Mags are sepret items and they need to change as well.

There is no Zulib compabiloty between this and zulib.

I tried using this mod (plus tactial gear, no other mods installed) with my vanilla save, and all weapons with a magazine customization became unusable. They just show a capacity of 0 and cannot be reloaded.

Is that a known limitation, or is that some sort of bug ? I also noticed that it is no longer possible to modify a gun's magazine, but I could see how that is intended. I would suggest adding it to the description, they are indeed known limitations.

You can download this mod to own PC (use Modification in the Main Menu) and fix the problem: alter platform of AK74 and AK74 Large from WP762 to WP545 - it works.

According to the mod, AK-74 magazine has specified platform "AK762", (screenshot: https://disk.yandex.com/i/LopOF4ujXi-jUQ) , but according to section "SETUP_AddPlatformAndMagazineToWeapons" AK-74 and AKSU waits for platform "AK545" (screenshot: https://disk.yandex.com/i/tMp3uoXLnhaKCg) :

The merc equipment screen is showing too much to the left and it is hiding the vest and trousers part behind the mercs portraits. What could be causing this? I didn´t have this problem before the update.

Is it posiible to get several mags from one drop? Is it possible to get loaded mags as drop? As of now, I only get a single empty mag from each enemy (100% drop rate setting). Also is it possible that this mod stops ammo from dropping?

@andrewsrwelch: this mod is not compatible with any of the weapon mods. Revised Magazines for Masters of war will probably help but I did not test it.

Hi - the magazines arent working properly for me - you can load some one with bullets, but then you cannot reload them again. Some others dont load bullets at all - can you help?

I have not, It seems like the only part I was missing was the Rev_Setup Weapon portion. I'll have to figure out how to do so after work. Can't say I know how to do so off the top of my head.
