milsim is boring as hell i don't wanna sit in the back of an APC for 20 minutes just to step on a landmine as soon as i get out, real war sucks.

forgot to mention that Ground Branch is on par with both squad and arma 3 also.

imo if one wants to larp as a cag operator or conventional infantry or whatever then they should just play arma, squad, ron or any other similar games of the same genre instead of trying to replica the same thing in gmod (as it doesnt work well or play the same most of the times)

altho i must admit that mw2019-styled reload animations are pretty swag but oh well each to their own I suppose.

the best games I think of when it comes to realism and milsim are Squad and Arma 3.

i side with 38forger, i'm tired of this pseudorealism bs. "realistic" first person shooters peaked in 2014 with the release of insurgency2, everything that came after has only used "realism" for its aesthetic value (which sucks btw, i'm sick of seeing high cut helmets and balaclavas everywhere). about "realistic" reload animations, this flashy over top shit is the complete opposite of the label that it bears. yknow what game has truly realistic reload animations? no more room in hell. they're slow, they're clumsy and they are devoid of any flourishes or embellishments. cod mw19 and its consequences have been a disaster for the gamer race. the recent bodycam trend is even dumber. it's terrible for immersion, if you wanted real immersion, you'd have full body awareness with a normal game camera positioned in the right eye, like in ground branch. i think we should go a step further and simulate the way that eyes perceive the frames and lenses of glasses, goggles and gasmasks.
