That makes sense. Some Zephon modder actually figured out how to make AI use transports. If he could just do that over here.

Maybe...Zephon's code base is just different enough to make working with it frustrating for folks like me who are so used to Gladius :)

Okay, I implemented Vaeki's suggestion and ...no crash! I actually didn't have any units with enough traits to see if it does what it's supposed to do, but the crash may be fixed...Please test and let me know.

I think you just need to change:
<label name="weaponsLabel" preferredSize="FillParent 28" alignment="TopCenter"/>
to something like:
<container name="weaponsContainer" preferredSize="FillParent 28" layout="CompressedFlow" layout.alignment="TopCenter" layout.gap="8 0"/>

Came to report the Ultima Founding bug, too. Checked a late game save w/o your interface mod and the icons do that annoying overlap thing, so I do not believe they fixed the display.

Don't know alot about this kind of mod, but the bug says weaponsContainer is missing from World/SelectionPanel blueprint. *shrug*

as of the Ultima founding patch, crashes the game for some reason, with this mod being the only one on included
whatever they did while uploading the DLC, the mod didn't sit well with it, it seems

I've actually looked into this...it turns out it's much harder than you might think. I believe the developers are trying bring Gladius in line with Zephon. Did you have coding suggestions, perchance?

The Research Tree
Bring back the old research menu and improve it a little:
1. Reduce the height of the frame and the distance between the frames in height. Then more research will fit.

2. Reduce the distance between the columns in the research tree.

This is better, because more information is placed on one screen. In the new version of 5 studies per column, this is just terrible.

Could you make a mod to fix the research menu?
In the new version of the game, the research menu looks terrible. 5 studies per column. The old version was very convenient. Maybe you can make a mod for the old version, but with some improvements:
1. Reduce the distance between the columns.
2. Slightly reduce the research menu.

I wrote the following to the developers, but they are unlikely to change it.

That sounds excellent! I've always felt that this was a weird drawback of the interface. I thought they should have included an icon for 'additional effects that don't fit on the screen' wish would list them as a tooltip - but your mod sounds far better! :)
