Yeah, I can't actually do anything about it, but the timer for the optional objective of defending them should be short enough for it to be fine if you just shoot down the fighters.

so can you do something about the awacs flying directly over a enemy airbase? cant do shit to keep them safe if they kamikaze themselves into enemy air defenses.
