Yes, AI factions with these traits will have the transformations applied to them automatically at the beginning of a game. :)
And yeah free city faction should never have these traits show up for them I'm certain.
Analyzing the scripts of this one helped me, as it is my first mod; so thanks to Gurgle Nurgle.
It is easy to add several transformations effects by mod on ruler or race (so multiple major transformation is possible by mod), but when i tested my mod i discovered that when a ruler ascend, he keep only transformation if he had casted the spell (my mod was made to ascend any ruler as game start, with transformation and skill he choose.. i"ll push it on line soon)
This is probably why Gurgle Nurgle made the spell castable instead of directly add the effect to ruler and race; i just had the same issue and had to make the spell castable too in my mod.
And if you cast a major transformation while you have an other one, the game ask you if you want to replace the older one.
I do not know yet if it is possible to prevent this by mod
Like, maybe you want to create a faction of demons but normally you can only acquire the demonkin transformation quite late into a game, preventing your faction from embodying demons right from the start. This mod changes that.
If you don't cast it turn 1 then you'll have to spend casting points and mana
Found what happened
As I'm currently occupied with other things, this maintenance update will be it for now in terms of changes made to the mod. So things like having the transformation visuals displayed in the faction preview will not be a thing for now. Hope ya'll understand and have fun with the mod regardless!
i made a version of your script to test it and it works by just copying the line that includes the "Dragon Lord Requisite" and paste it right under it + replace the dragon requisite with the eldritch requisite and repeated it for every transformation in that script
I actually looked into the script you use for the ai, to prevent the bug with dragon leaders and i found an easy fix
I dug around my load order and you're right, it was a comparability issue.
Transformation Traits and the Elemental Tomes mod by Arca_Bibliophile appear to be incompatible. Disabling his mod fixes the issue.
As far as dragon lord transformations go, that's my bad. Seems to be a weird mod interaction (not sure which mod). Launching the game with no mods enabled prevents transformations from applying to them. Maybe I'll dig around again and find which mod is causing that.
Sorry about that. It wasn't your mod's fault to begin with.
Mh that is weird that just Scion of Flame doesn't work for you, it has to be some compatibility issue with another mod or something, not sure.
Are you sure about transformations normally applying to dragon leaders? Because I'm pretty sure they don't do that or aren't supposed to at least. The More Traits mod had actually removed transformation traits because they were unable to find a way to PREVENT transformations to be applied to dragon rulers.
I also noticed that none of the transformations are applying to dragon leaders. They apply normally (if I research them).
