Quick question, but what file or config holds the weapon damages? my current modlist has the ordinary weapons buffed at about 5-9ish while the weapons from here are like... 2-5ish at the start.
I wanna use the SMG but with 2-3 damage... eehhhh....

My own problem with the bright red happens from the loot pool mods, but this seems to affect all the weapons. But the only fix I had found was when in squad selection screen, when you can select the weapon mods, thats what'll allow me to change the weapon colors.

Yeah, due to a problem with weapons not appearing in a saved game, I had to create a condition so that it wasn't necessary to always create new games.

So, something odd is happening. The mod setup I use generally means the Spartan Laser is useless to me, as it has to be manually setup for every individual class, modded or otherwise, that is allowed to use it, and I don't tend to use the ones on the list.

Regardless! Since it's useless to me, I sold it off at the Black Market - but the weird part is that, without me actually spending any resources to make another one... it keeps reappearing in my inventory. So I sell it again. This has been going on for several in-game months at this point - not complaining, it's just odd and technically a source of free money.

Any chance of figuring out how to tweak the volume and noise of the weapons? as much as I like hearing it, the fact that they're set at a specific volume is a bit.....

for now the UNSC weapons have only the conv tier When I recover I plan to add more tier

From what I can tell the UNSC weapons (MA5C, BR55, etc.) don't have the ability to get upgraded to magnetic weapons. Is this supposed to be the case or could this be a potential mod conflict that isn't flagged?

Amazing looking weapons btw.

No worries, health comes first. It's still a great mod that pairs amazingly with my Chipps Dubbo and Master Chief voice packs on my soldiers.

O I forget about the 3 tiers, They're just conventional tier weapons, right? I'll try to implement them without anything exploding when I'm a little recovered. sorry about that

(Side Note: This will change the damage but you'll still have access to the weapons in the early game. So if you'd don't want plasma weapon levels of damage in the early game be sure to take that into account.)
(Also: Be sure to save your changes to the file... I had to learn that the hard way after opening the game...)

I'm sorry to hear about your health struggles. That's never and easy battle.

I've been waiting for your update for awhile, but for those who are also waiting for the weapons to be plasma level\do the same damage as plasma weapons I do have a solution. If you follow this path in your files (I have NEVER given advice and posted a path link on steam, so bear with me.)

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\3187313670

You can access the config files and change the damage values of the halo weapons to match plasma weapons. Or to whatever you like. I have NEVER accessed config files before, but that worked for me. The weapons are still listed as conventional but they'll do damage the same damage as a plasma level weapon. Specifically I changed the value to "=9" in order to get the desired damage.

Im playing on LWOTC, and for exemple All rangers can have a triple overwatch shot, which is useless for a spartan laser. They also have the cone overwatch, only 2 foes will be aimed at. And if both shots are used for overwatch, the retaliation skill will never happen. simply because the clip will be empty. I think the best traits the ranger can have with the Spartan laser is lock and load, which is a rare random XCOM trait, and rapid fire. Im not complaining or anything, but i think the Spartan laser might require more love, such as a tier upgrade for exemple, depending the tech level (Laser/Magnetic/Coil/Plasma) which could add one or more upgrade slots, and adding more damages. It could at least make the weapon itself more compatible with LOFTC skill tree for the lone class which can use that weapon. Simply suggesting :P

About the Spartan Laser, "Most upgrade don't affect it" isn't the correct way to say it. Absolutly none can, because the spartan laser simply has 0 upgrade slot. Such as the crossbow :D
Thats just sad that weapon can lack End game fire power. Im still using it tho. But as long you don't have all/most specific traits wich can affect very positively the spartan laser, such as lock and load (and i think thats the lone very useful traits that Rangers can get for that weapon) the Spartan laser will be inferior and less handly than other shotgun like weapons a Ranger can get.

Under my eyes, im trying with a Sharpshooter. From extremly far: With stats:
+120% Aim
+12% Lone Wolf
+10% Target Defense (targeting the Hive queen)
+10% High ground advantage
+10% "Observer" (Tier 2 bound soldier)
+10% Terrain Advantage
+5% Weapon accuracy
-30% Weapon range
Total 100% (147%) chances to hit

I think the problem is affiliated with the fact that weapon can be used with the common vision trait for sharpshooter. Im trying with other soldiers and they can't use the needler on the hivequeen, as long they can't shoot it with their primaries

Mmm, for the first question, I think I made a mistake assigning a variable. The second one is supposed to work like a normal pistol shot but with a small area attack. When you shoot from a distance, does it have a 100% chance to hit?
The third question: I tried to make most weapons work like normal XCOM weapons with some changes to the number of upgrades.
The fourth one: I made the Spartan laser a more special weapon with its own category, so most upgrades don't affect it.

After a quick test, i have 4 questions:
- Is there a reason why the needler has a weight of 0 ? The Magnum has a -1 move penalty while needler got 0
- Is it on purpuse that Pink mist attack from the needler has no cooldown, and infinite range ? It seems im able to use that skill as long i see an enemy
- The Covenant Sniper rifle has 1 ammo clip. Fine, its probably your balance choice. But is there a reason why we can put clip upgrades ? The spartan laser has 2 ammo clip and we can't put any upgrade, while the Covenant sniper rifle can despite its 1 clip, have a clip upgrade (Im using Weapon Upgrade Expended WOTC).
- The spartan laser is a weapon that need researches to have it unlocked, like the Covenant Sniper Rifle. Is this lack of possibility of having upgrades on purpose ?

When my LWOTC will be done, i guess i will immediatly restart one with more mod, by installing the AML, where more usefull mods can me set with it.

My XCOM 2 has made an update of 1,7gb the may 1rst. Its blocked at 99% with the error "Content file locked"
I suppose something went wrong :l

You could try deleting and installing the mod again.
