It works, but a few of the bonuses, namely around schemes don't apply. Game works and loads fine for me, will get to fixing it. Had to replace my ssd the other month so lost all my working files etc

Would you consider doing a similar reconstruction for Generals? Giving the trait to people that lead an army into battle and gaining more and less exp when losing and winning battles (or while training the levies as a Marshal). Potentially, gaining traits too.

I think a good idea for the different trait paths would be to give bonuses to councilor tasks like how certain character perks or culture traditions give bonuses

@George you can do that through game_rules
and then have your events / modifiers etc be in a if/iffelse block for each game rule setting, with values changing
or you could even have the game_rule change a script value that would be used in your script blocks that define how fast that xp gain goes :)

@Ranger, lower XP (1-3 @ quarterly for 12.5 years AVG to reach max) version has been uploaded, it must be placed BELOW this one and requires it to function - any issues, let me know

(p.p.s. I say quarterly in that there is a cool down to how frequent the XP can be gained from tasks which is currently once every 3 months)

I could do a slower xp gain as an alternate version for people. The range atm is fairly wide (2-5xp), where constantly rolling at the upper end can have you done sooner.

2-5xp @ quarterly = AVG of 7.1 years to reach max

changing it to:

1-3xp @ quarterly = AVG of 12.5 years to reach max

1-2xp @ quarterly AVG of 16.6 years to reach max

1xp @ quarterly = AVG of 25 years to reach max



Let me know what you guys think and I can make an alt "slower" XP version of it and the Confidant Trait

@George I LOVE this mod and it has definitely been added to my permanent load order. Do have to agree with the previous comment though. Maybe of the xp gained was 25-50% slower but that just might be personal preference. 6 Years on the job and my character was already the highest level or marshall.

Not sure if this is exclusive to spymaster, but the notification for gaining exp as spymaster says "You have immproved as a spymaster" (which should be improved)

This is actually a really cool idea. Councillors gaining experience when serving in their roles should be a base game thing

@arenam no it does not replace the bonuses you are referencing
(and note the bonuses you are talking about scale depending on if you are in a county/duchy/kingdom/empire council afaik)

Does this replace the bonus given to councilors by vanilla?

E.g. the spymaster getting

- +10 Natural Dread
- +5 Hostile Scheme Power
- +2 Hostile Scheme Success Chance
- +5% Intrigue Lifestyle Experience

@darien no you can't the XP is assigned regardless of the actual outcome and it happens a few times a year, spam switching tasks won't generate additional XP either
