Cool. But if the Submarine is seen by the other faction into their border will it kick out or you get any diplomatic penalty?

This is a great mod. Been using it since last year. I just wish someone would create a mod where workers ignore borders just like the scout ignore borders mod and this one.

There's really no excuse for something like this not being a vanilla feature. I mean the ability to move unseen through neutral and foreign waters is only the entire reason submarines exist. Nice work.

I did notice the other day some people talking about how mods don't really work for mac users and to even get them to work on macs it involves the user to manually go into the source code to apply changes.
My advice don't get windows 10 if you do stick to windows 8.0 -8.1-8.2- 8.3

I don't know how mods on Mac work, you'd probably be better off looking around the internet, or creating a thread about it on the discussion forums.

But to be honest none of the mods I enabled seem to work.
Perhaps because I have a Mac ?

Well, i am not sure what is going on here then. I have both Gods & Kings/Brave New World dlc enabled. When i try to re-enter the civ's border, it pops up and asks if i want to go to war with that civ. The only dlc i don't have is the scrambled civ's/maps pack, the ancient wonders of the world pack and the babylonian civ. In the ancient wonders of the world, one of the wonders you can build is the statue of Zeus. I did notice that one of the other civ's in my game built that wonder even though i don't have that dlc. I am going to try disabling the dlc(except for the expansions) to see if there is a conflict there.

I just tested both of the basegame submarines, and they work just fine for me.

So it might be a mod conflict, or if you were using Advanced Naval Warfare submarines, then maybe some were added after I had updated the mod. Or it might also be the case that units that can enter enemy territory are still kicked out of their borders when open borders end, but then you should be able to re-enter their territory.

The mod might also need Gods + Kings to work.

This mod does not seem to work. The game i am currently playing, i ended open borders with another civ and the game kicked my sub out of the other civ's borders. This is the only mod that i have running in my game.

nvm i got it, just delete the files, load up the game, exit, then move the files from the recycling bin back into the MODS folder.

ok i have a problem, i subbed to this and a few other mods, but when i loaded up the game and waited for the mods to load. I sat there for 2 hours and only haf of my mods loaded, so i reloaded the game a few times to no effect, so i went to the MODS folder to see that all the ones that didnt load were text documents, and i know for sure that they are not supposed to be. So i deleted them and went through and un-subbed and subbed to all my mods, i loaded up the game ad had the same problem, i checked the folder and saw that none of them were there, not even in text form. What the fuck do i do?!

This makes total sense that submarines ignore borders, but there should be a diplomatic penalty if the ai sees the sub withn it's borders if you don't have an open borders agreement.

It wasn't, but now it is. Unless I missed any all Submarines added by the "Advanced Naval Units"-Mod should now also ignore borders.

@Ovenworthy no it is not... sadly i have a WW1 era sub (first one you can build as america) and it does not allow me into borders without open borders.

That's pure logic, you cannot see a submarine. It should be in the original game.

They're probably "compatible" as in "They shouldn't crash the game if used together.", but any new naval units added to the game won't be effected by this mod, so using them together isn't really all that useful.

There is another mod made by another guy (it's called advanced naval units I belive). It adds multiple different submarines into the game. Does anybody know if this is compatible with that mod?

@trix That would require some .DLL changes, ruining compatability with any other mods that do the same.
