as for blood decal lifetime i think it's already meant to be infinite and goes away when 1 of 2 conditions are met: too many decals in the level, or 2 or more of the same decal overlap on the z-axis, as soon as a condition is met then the vfx uses the lifetime property to tick down until the model disappears
It would be great to be able to do like WH3 where we can permanently render the vfx, footprints, chariot wheels, etc
