Use this mod on Dynasty, he did a great job on my behalf.

Will this be ported to dynasties?

Why can't the Sea Peoples use cavalry?
Is it a technical problem?
I enjoy playing Sea People, but it's a shame there are no cavalry..:lunar2019shockedpig:

Sweet, thank you for the mod! Can you give them unique names, or at least a name in the description when you hover over the unit? It is just a number, and kind of takes away from the immersion!
The Overlander 13 Jun, 2024 @ 6:04pm
only assyria will have cavalry officially so every new faction added apart from them will have no cavalry
COHORTROY  [author] 30 May, 2024 @ 6:09pm
@rex999
The officially added cavalry will likely be added separately to the unit pack. I honestly don't know if more units will be added to cavalry mod.
rex999 30 May, 2024 @ 2:41pm
also, since CA is officially adding cav, will you be working on this mod more?
rex999 18 May, 2024 @ 12:06pm
hello, are you gonna be adding any more cav units to this mod?
jcbestcassidy 18 May, 2024 @ 8:46am
Anyone on playing this on MacOS know how to get the mods working in-game. In the pregame window it will attach but when I load the game it doesn't seem to appear? Is there a new building needed to recruit cav in this mod? thanks
Working Joe 12 May, 2024 @ 5:36pm
For some reason, the units do not have names. Do they need eng localization?
Working Joe 9 May, 2024 @ 8:25pm
This is such an awesome mod! Thank you so much for making this simple but awesome mod!

@Alex Zhao
Oh really?? Your unit card is really great. If you give it to me, I will take full advantage of it. That unit card of yours is really perfect.
Alex Zhao 10 Apr, 2024 @ 10:12pm
Hi, I also made several cavalry units, but I was too lazy to create their unit cards. If you are interested I can send them to you and feel free to use them as you like.

what is the cavalry name, why I cannot find it in custom battle

@COHORTROY(dress508) Can you make a mod that gives tier 3 Isuwan axemen renowned trojan swordsmen helmets please?
kam2150 29 Mar, 2024 @ 6:07pm
There are some depictions of cavalry in battle, I think mounted hittites chased by egyptian chariots. For Bronze age Greece I recommend to look for this pdf:
"Horseback riding and cavalry in Mycenaean Greece" by Jorrit M. Kelder.

Great mod, I appreciate the work. As other posters have said people were riding horses at the time and cavalry although not attested historically is a great addition. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Small units of cavalry may have existed especially in the European Step at the time. I like the fact you have allowed us the choice.

@ eric_le_rouge500
thank you. I don't have any other plans.
eric_le_rouge500 29 Mar, 2024 @ 1:21am
Good morning
this mod is super very good work do you plan to develop it? with different models for lowland Egypt and highland Egypt and other civilizations. don't listen to negative comments if they don't like your mod they just don't have to download it
SilVerMaiNe 28 Mar, 2024 @ 6:40pm
or if they are overpowered with no cap, just double the recruitment and upkeep cost. To balance it.
Il-Khan of Persia 28 Mar, 2024 @ 5:03pm
So no submod that caps them after 3-5 per faction? (which is fine, just curious)
COHORTROY  [author] 28 Mar, 2024 @ 4:13pm
If you don't like the mod, don't use it. This is a re-upload of content that was already deleted. However, since I posted it because there were people who wanted it, it doesn't change anything no matter what say.
Roland 28 Mar, 2024 @ 12:20pm
It would be more appropriate to make a complete mod from the 7th century BC
Grecorromano Historia y TotalWar 28 Mar, 2024 @ 11:52am
These types of things are unnecessary, if you want chivalry, make a mod from another era, such as from the 7th century, this misery is not here.
SilVerMaiNe 27 Mar, 2024 @ 9:36pm
This is what I have been looking for my entire life!

Yes, they may not be accurate but sometimes the games have to make creative liberties to make it enjoyable to the consumers.

• I have not tested the balance yet but upon initial play through they seem to not pursue routing units, sometimes when you order an attack they stop and do nothing.

• another one is the cavalry traps the melee and ranged unit when you attack them, meaning they cannot rout or move across the cavalry like there is a force field between them.

overall great mod! will definitely redo my campaign with this on. Thank you!
SGZ***71 27 Mar, 2024 @ 7:20pm
the models are perfect. How'd you do that ??
SGZ***71 27 Mar, 2024 @ 7:20pm
perhaps less horses per unit too. ?? To make them more of a scouting role and chasing down fleeing enemies, rather than a strike force per se.
bennydigitall 27 Mar, 2024 @ 5:54am
Honestly one of my biggest complaints about Pharaoh was lack of cavalry, this is excellent. As a poster below mentioned, the only thing I would ask for is a unit cap, say 4 of each per faction.
SGZ***71 26 Mar, 2024 @ 6:33am
nice one
Kendji 26 Mar, 2024 @ 1:13am
@Il-Khan: Cavarly scouts existed, prople knew how to ride horses. At battle of Kadesh cavarly scouts where supposedly deployed in non-combat scouting roles. The issue was the horse breeds common at the time. There where too few strong/big enough horses to equip large military formations. It was more practical to have several smaller horses drag a chariot instead. This started to change in the Early Iron age though, a few centuries after twp, when these 'better' horses became more common through selective breeding. :)
Kendji 26 Mar, 2024 @ 1:02am
Cool!
ILIAN.2024 25 Mar, 2024 @ 8:35pm
que grande bro muchas grasias muy genial el modd lo esperaba con muchas ganas algo que seria genial ver seria ver banderas similar al total war tr3 kimdoms se que no es historico pero le da un aspecto brutal a las batallas muy brutal el mod mil gracias
Il-Khan of Persia 25 Mar, 2024 @ 4:26pm
There actually were (comparatively) very few cavalry used at this time. Riding horses in an arena or palace has occurred for several centuries before this, but this was around the time a relatively small handful of cavalry were tested out in battles instead of just trotting around a city. It would take a few centuries more before they would officially replace chariots, under the Neo-Assyrian Empire.

That being said, would you be willing to make a second mod or a submod of this that makes them recruitable at tier 5 Cavalry only and caps them off at around like 4ish units faction-wide or maybe 1 unit per each Tier 5 that you build? (possibly available for the Sea Peoples as well?, since the Peleset eventually settled and became the Philistines)

You could mark the mod/ submod as a "historical version" of this one.
COHORTROY  [author] 25 Mar, 2024 @ 4:59am
@bennydigitall
Yes, obviously I didn't touch it, but the LOD bug happens.
I've tried to fix the problem but it hasn't worked. I don't know why....
bennydigitall 25 Mar, 2024 @ 4:41am
Wow amazing mod, works great. The only small thing I noticed is the horse model disappears in the distance at one of the LOD levels - not the furthest LOD, but the one before it. The soldier is still present though. Other than that, it's brilliant!
