I found that, this mod causes the wrong hitbox for Interior Light block.
Also for some reason they are all "unfinished" state, even though they are 100% welded, they doesnt glow.
This is very annoying, so I recommend to not use before it will be fixed. Take care
But the fog does not impact the actual lighting that much on a shorter distance as it is setup to slowly darker objects over 1 km away. You should try changing the other lighting parameters to adjust brightness and shadows to your own liking, sun intensity, specular and diffuse, but also the back lighting and environmental lighting.
The new basic galactic skybox is kindof setup for people that prefer all default setting with just a different background, but agreed I'm not too happy with that one myself either, so I might look into it again to add some custom ambient lighting.
Thanks for your feedback.
Anyhow thanks for your efforts! :)
I see you posted another copy of the skybox. But just figured I'd mention that issue since it didn't seem to be covered by those who were just using the skybox locally.
Below you will find all the original sun-related lines to copy/paste if needed:
<SunDirection x="0.339467347" y="0.709795356" z="-0.617213368" />
<SunDiffuse x="0.784313738" y="0.784313738" z="0.784313738" />
<SunSpecular x="0.784313738" y="0.784313738" z="0.784313738" />
<SunIntensity>1.456</SunIntensity>
<SunMaterial>SunDisk</SunMaterial>
<SunSizeMultiplier>200</SunSizeMultiplier>
Or check out the new skybox if you want all the default settings with the milky way galaxy background - galactic skybox
You could also try one of my other skyboxes with a nebula which provide some environmental lighting, making those shadows a little brighter (and colorful). Although that won't help for static solarpanels since all those skyboxes have the sun in this same position.
If it was possible to make the sun move along a path on the skybox I would, but that is probably not going to happen so it's shining from the Virgo constellation for all 34 skyboxes for now. I can look into making a basic galaxy skybox, just the milky way background without the constellation lines and with all the default environment parameters.
The admin on our server wanted to try a break from the standard skybox but after putting this one in he got a ton of complaints due to it being far to dark and most stations losing their solar power from having the panels be on the shaded side of the base.
