As I said in the description,

If you're still having problems, see this guide. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=511040608 . I provides 3 methods on how to get these Materials fixes working in SFM.

ok thanks

This is the material (VMT) not the Texture (VTF). so if the tie is suppose to be paintable, you'll have to look at the texture to find out why it isn't painting.
OneShotFox 31 Mar, 2018 @ 9:45pm
i can get it but it still wont let me paint the tie and the lines on it do you know why or where I can put the values or just to fix it

Son of a gun. That's exactly what the issue is. No wonder I couldn't find it! That's what I get for being stupid a few years ago and shoving all the recently updated TF2 content into Usermod. Thanks for the help! I owe you one!
Pte Jack  [author] 27 Jun, 2017 @ 6:10pm
have you checked your folder that have higher priorities (like Usermod) for the bad textures?
The Grandmaster 27 Jun, 2017 @ 4:08pm
Again, I also set the texture itself to sept2014_lady_killer_color.vtf using $basetexture in the element viewer because the original guide you had wasn't working for me. I know my way around SFM pretty well, and have triple checked everything which is why this is so confounding.

My repaired materials folder has the path game\workshop\materials\models\workshop\player\items\spy\sept2014_lady_killer. It has all 5 VMT and VTF files needed and I already set the workshop to a higher priority than the usual TF folder on the bootup Source SDK. I had a Repaired_Materials folder earlier on instead of a workshop one, but I ditched that just because it was a hassle to have everything in two places instead of one.
Pte Jack  [author] 27 Jun, 2017 @ 3:47pm
in your repaired materials folder, did you create the path MATERIALS\models\workshop\items\spy\sept2014_lady_killer and put the VMTs and VTFs from the workshop download in that or did you just go from the repaired materials folder to MODELS\blah\blah\blah... and did you give your repaired materials folder a higher priority than your TF and TF_extracted_vpk folders?
The Grandmaster 27 Jun, 2017 @ 2:43pm
I directed the model itself to the repaired materials that I downloaded in this mod using $basetexture in the element viewer (among the three methods you provided in your earlier tutorial) and it still isn't cooperating. Has anyone else experienced this, am I doing something wrong, or is my SFM bugged?
Pte Jack  [author] 3 Dec, 2016 @ 9:08am
It's because you didn't follow the guides I provided. This is a Texture only fix. YOu have to use an Override Materials and a $basetexture String Attribute to get it to work.

None of the materials are working, it still remains black for me

It seems to color the buttons red, this is not how the jacket is oriented

Pte Jack  [author] 26 Dec, 2015 @ 10:41am
They would download to sourcefilmmaker\game\workshop\materials\models\workshop\player\items\spy\sept2014_lady_killer\
Lacirev 26 Dec, 2015 @ 3:32am
I can't seem to find the files at the directory models\workshop\player\items\spy\sept2014_lady_killer\
highbob 23 Aug, 2015 @ 5:08am
Um, i really dont understand... :P
Pte Jack  [author] 26 Jun, 2015 @ 4:26pm
Just make a copy of them and put somewhere you can remember you put them or just rename them and leave them where they are.
FestiveFace 26 Jun, 2015 @ 11:00am
where do i copy and paste the originial files?
Pte Jack  [author] 8 Jun, 2015 @ 6:32pm
You could build a new mod folder under the games folder and add the workshop fixes to that, then move that mod above TF in the game info.txt file. Set up some sort of sync between the workshop folder and the fix folder to update the fixes when new updates come down in the workshop.

can u have a separate link to the fixed files? Because it is a automatic one ... but i need to put it in by hand because i cant switch out my gameinfo, if i did ... it would mess with models really really badly .. i know how to fix it by hand without the automatic

Pte Jack  [author] 1 Oct, 2014 @ 5:14pm
Did you follow the instructions in the description?
Amity 30 Sep, 2014 @ 11:49am
Ah.
Pte Jack  [author] 30 Sep, 2014 @ 11:41am
Haven't researched them yet.
Amity 30 Sep, 2014 @ 8:11am
You wouldn't happen to know all the item file names for all the new summer items do you?
Mr. Light 29 Sep, 2014 @ 4:15pm
Thanks for the fix
