@Pitagora, I tested it with the Community Edition. I had no problems. If we can talk on Discord, I can investigate the source of the problem.

The procedure of unload and reload the mod didn't work for me, I've also lost my settings from the previous version this way, I had to roll back to the previous save.
Indeed I'm using "Mod Support Api Community Edition" but it's a must have mod imo.
I love this npc mod too, please don't stop investigate the issue.

Confirmed that for me it is fixed, thank you. Didn't have to do anything beyond letting Steam update it and load my save.

@posthum, yes it works, but 1 person had a problem like this. the problem does not occur when starting a new save but it causes a problem in the saved game, I could not determine the source of the problem because it did not give an error line in debug mode.

We solved the problem for this type of situation as follows;
1- Disable upb PlayerNpcs mode.
2- Restart the game and load your save file and then save your save file.
3- Re-enable upbPlayerNpcs mode and start the game again.
4- Load your last saved save file.
The problem will be solved.

Yeah, it's too bad the devs didn't have some native features for that kind of stuff so 3rd party mods weren't needed to allow compatibility between em all. 😕

@FuryoftheStars, this will also be an answer for @G.A. I have written mods without interfering with the game's own UI codes so far. I didn't want to use them in order not to be dependent on the other extra mods you mentioned. Yes, I am aware that it would be easier to access. But I didn't want to wait for the updates of other mods with every new update.

A question, though: instead of adding chat options to npcs (which could conflict with other mods and prevents altering settings on a new game until you find/hire an npc), what would your thoughts be on using kuertee's ui extension mod? That mod adds a new submenu to the main menu in game (which I think would be a perfect place for your mod options), and then also allows adding of new buttons and subsequent ui elements to the player information screen (and maybe the map), which would be the perfect place for the other screens you have. I'm not sure if this game's modding supports it, but could even do it as an option: without kuertee's mod, it adds the chat options; with it does not have the chat options and instead uses the menu and other screens.

Thanks for the fix. Apologies, it'll be a while before I can test. I posted as I was going to bed last night and I likely won't fire up the game again until tonight... or tomorrow night.

It happens after playing for a while (1.5 to 2 hours) that some sections of the UI disappear, many basic commands, for ships and stations. Saving the game, quitting the game and loading the last save will fix it temporarily. Just loading the last save without quitting the game usually doesn't fix it.
It's kind of broken, but I don't know which mods are doing it, it could be the game itself. For now, I'm trying to test mods that change something in the game's UI, but I'm not very knowledgeable about it, so it will take me a while.

Hmm, so this was working for me as of a few days ago, but as of today when I started a new game it is broke. When I attempt to open the options menu from talking with my ship's captain, all that will load of the window is the top title bar (with the close and go-back buttons) and the "Options" button on the left side. The rest of the content does not show.

This is with UI Protected Mode off. I tried deleting all upb mods I had and let Steam redownload. I also attempted disabling all mods except this one and your Lua Loader mod and start a new game again. None of these fixed the issue.

ui protection is off. I exited the game and deleted the 'Sn Mod Support Api', 'upb Lua Loader' and upb mods ('upb_plyr_npcs' etc.) folders in the extension folder. I entered the game. Steam automatically downloaded these mods that I subscribed to. I opened my saved game and I don't see any problem..

Whichever you are using, uninstall sn mod support api or upb lua loader (also delete it from the extensions folder) and reinstall it.

You may need to disable UI Protection mode ("Settings" -> "Extensions" -> "Protected UI Mode") before you can see the manager or option screen.

After the new update, when you load your previous saved game, you can stop the game with pause, make your settings and continue the game.

@Proxima-b, Since there was a change in the general variables in this update, the default settings were loaded. The settings are not reset with every load anyway.

When you updated your mod, every setting just reset, now I'm getting a lot of yaki pilots which I don't like, took me several hours to replace them. Can you make the setting persistent?

@Osium, It should work like other races. I checked. There is no female macro written for Boron. I assigned 1 female macro for this special case, but regardless of whether the selected macro is male or female, after giving my macro, egosoft still creates the character with a random gender type. I haven't found a full solution for Boron yet.

It does work to recruit Boron male and female, but if you choose just female, it won't recruit. Just to update with a little more testing.

Doesn't seem to work to hire only Boron females. If I disable the extension in the options I can recruit Boron from Boron stations, but if I say set service crew to only recruit Boron females, it won't recruit them.

@Proxima-b , because of another mod of mine 'Upb Equipment Modifications and Recruit Service'.
I re-used some characters that were previously used in the game (whose rig structures I found to be correct).
If you do not want it included, you can delete the \extensions\upb_equipmentmod_and_recruit_srv\libraries\charactergroups.xml file.

I'm getting extremely strange character model spawning on argon stations, specifically those "engineer" and "pilot" macros without a racial prefix , which shouldn't spawn because the model is old and their arms and legs are all twisted up. Is it because of this mod?

SWI got recently updated to version 0.8 that is made for X4 v7.XX, tho the Nexus Mods page is not up to date. You can get the updated version from https://sites.google.com/view/swinterworlds/Home

@ Erde, I started writing this mod when X4 5. was installed. It worked with SW. However, after x4 7.0 was released, I didn't look back to see how the changes I made to the mod worked. Does SW X4 version 5 and above currently work, has it been updated? I enjoyed playing it back then. If I have time, I'd like to try the part that is incompatible with SW.

The biggest problem with Star Wars Interworlds is that most mods need to be either patched or specifically made for it to work properly. I like Interworlds, but I know from experience that I need to switch off 95% of my mod list just so it works.

Specifically Interworlds messes around with NPCs in general so anything that also changes NPCs in any way will create a mod conflict.

When using with Star Wars Interworlds, the settings for this mod are completely empty. All you see is the header "Player NPCs" and the "Options" button (if you click it, nothing happens).

Worthy of note, if you intend to download the mod to test, the Nexus Mods link is outdated. You can find the Google Drive link from the mod's homepage, which should also be the first search result on a search engine with star wars interworlds as the search term.

There are 3 methods to access UPB MODs.
1- Talk to the captain of any ship belonging to the player. Select '5.More' from the options that appear. Select the '2.UPB MODs' option in the new menu options that will open.
2- Talk to any NPC ship captain in your radar area. Select '3.UPB MODs' from the opened options.
3- If the option is not opened with the first 2 steps, you are probably using another mod that adds menu options. In this case, use the 'Upb Equipment Modification And Reqruit Service' Mod. This new mode assigns a Spec officer you can talk to when you land at the shipyard or wharf (player or npc) stations. To access UPB MODs, talk to Spec Office Nurcan ARIKAN HOS.

It must be an NPC from your own faction. Just fly to the nearest Warf or Equipment Dock, get some crew for your ship and comms one of them if you do not have any to talk to.

Some body characters that existed before 5.0 were not included in the game afterwards. However, the body files remained. I filtered out those with broken rig structure as much as I could and did not include them. There is only 1 character with a Start Wars outfit and it consists of the marine class.
It spoils the image and it would be better if it wasn't hidden afterwards. I couldn't understand your statements, they contradict each other.

Eine gute Idee steckt in diesem MOD... doch leider stören die vielen Star Wars Personen in ihren komischen Outfits ein wenig das Bild... ohne diese, im Programm versteckten Personen wäre es besser... meine Meinung...

There is a good idea in this MOD... but unfortunately the many Star Wars characters in their funny outfits spoil the picture a little... it would be better without these characters hidden in the program... my opinion...
