As I also said, it lines up with the behavioral patterns of Footsub as compared to typical unimaginative and predictable troll behavior.
For example, if I am the last to have posted, I would rather copy it, and edit than leave posts back-to-back (or typos). I believe this is available to everyone. I have deleted post that wasn't mine - that was on one of my PZ mods - and entirely accidental. Sometimes there is a delay between hitting the trashcan icon, and the post actually being removed, and I thought I had missed the button (the post in question was benign)
"Hu hu, evil butthurt modder deletes comments!" \*deletes own comment*
"See?! Butthurt modder deleting comments, can't take the heat! Hu hu hu!"
Of course, as far as I'm concerned that's a perfectly valid reason for deleting a comment - despite what trolls and shitposters love to insist, you have no obligation to leave up every pile of dung people lay down in your comments.
Although I'm also more inclined to believe the modder who's been rather chill about the whole thing over the overt troll whose entire tenure here has been aggressive hostility and shit-stirring.
-> "I wAs FIne WiTH THE CoMmEnTS"
Sadly IRL fish traps are made from a mix of wire and netting, and making that rotatable would have taken forever. So I opted for a neolithic version, made from sticks loosely based on a lobster trap. I quite like the design for the side view, but the front/back proved to be awkward. I uploaded it WIP coz I was pressed for time.
Consequently, I removed rotation, and added a fixed version of the Fish Trap inspired graphic as the default graphic. I left the Legally Distinct Fish Trap so anyone who prefers that can swap them over.
That aside, I was fine with the comments by The Blind One , and Futstub . My responses were tongue in cheek, not butt-hurt. XD
My sincere apology if you felt attacked, trolled or slighted. I really did not mean to discredit your work or your contributions. I really was mostly trolling, I had drunk a double beer % when I posted that ... I know it's not a proper excuse, I mean I'm at fault for my behavior obviously and for that you deserve my apology.
At the time I posted it, I forgot that the actual art that Hazzers mod uses isn't actually the isometric fish trap despite it being on the thumbnail. I forgot that it was diagonal. Your fish trap looks practically identical to the one on hazzers thumbnail. Wtf does hazzer not use that one? The isometric one you made was actually way better. Looks like a more cartoonish version of aoe2's fishing trap if you remember that game?
Anyways cheers, hope you have a good day (plz re-use the COOL fishing trap you orinally used pweatty plz?
I honestly wasn't trolling, at least not intentionally. Perhaps I did so by accident but it wasn't in any way meant as an attack on OP. More like jokishly meming that he used graphics from another modder which according to him he faithfully recreated in which case I don't really have much ground to stand on.
>they remove it
man who could have predicted that would happen
We just meming on the fact you copied it. No harm in that.
Your copied fish trap was beautiful.
This one kinda looks like ass
But fine, I removed the Fish Trap inspired texture and replaced it with my own custom graphics. Four of them, one for each facing. Coz yeah. Fish Traps are rotatable now.
How come the fish trap look IDENTICAL to fish trap from hazzers thumbnail? (t's actually weird that the thumbnail from hazzer isn't actually the same fishtrap in-game tho
The fish trap is inspired by Hazzer's Fish Trap mod, yeah. But given that VG Vegetable Garden uses a static, isometric graphic, and Hazzer's mod is dynamic (and is actually a vertical graphic tile) I had to re-create the texture from scratch.
EDIT - Shouldn't be an issue, but I added them as a credit in the description.
@Latex Santa. That's fine. Some people aren't bothered by texture mis-match. But I prefer vanilla tiles, given a lot of mods ( Seeds Please: Lite for example) mimic vanilla graphics - and I want my stuff in game to match. Maybe coz OCD, iunno. But yeah, a mod was born (or reborn, I guess)
EDIT - Incidentally, they look cleaner in game - Screenshots don't really do them justice, coz Steam has issues..
Or did you get permission?
