Long-standing Wooden Structures

This might not have anything to do with this mod, but I was wondering if anyone was having a problem chopping down trees? Like, I had a new axe and started chopping and it never fell. None of my trees would. Went through an axe on the first one watching it degrade as I chopped for over 20 mins of in game time. Anyone have any idea?

@KAZAKH_LOVE Are you in build 42?
KAZAKH_LOVE 25 Apr @ 10:28am
The one zombie easy tear apart my barricade on the window.
It seems to me mode is not working. Please help me to fix it (
Mitch  [author] 8 Apr @ 1:34pm
@7343643 You're welcome. And yes, the error was from this mod only. Please let me know if you find any other issues.
7343643 8 Apr @ 1:29pm
thx for the quick update
so i assume it was just this mod and not long standing metal structures as well?
Mitch  [author] 7 Apr @ 6:49pm
@7343643 This issue has been fixed now, please update the mod. Thank you for reporting.
7343643 7 Apr @ 6:34pm
causes errors after latest update when zombies are hitting tall wooden fence( i assume it happens with every object covered by this mod and probably long standing metal structures as well)
Mitch  [author] 24 Mar @ 9:00pm
@LokiPhur Have fun :cozybethesda:
Mitch  [author] 24 Mar @ 8:57pm
@🔰 I just discovered that the mod wasn’t properly handling barricaded doors, this might have been the issue you encountered earlier. It has been fixed in the latest update.

In the future, please include more details about your issue so I can resolve it more quickly. Otherwise, problems like this might slip through. Thanks.
LokiPhur 24 Mar @ 8:53pm
Z tier modder right here. Having super strength zombies that can tear down walls and structures is a thing of the past. Thank you @Mich
Mitch  [author] 24 Mar @ 8:49pm
@poopsock You can now set any threshold to 0 to make the corresponding objects invulnerable. I've also added tooltips in the sandbox options that explain these settings.
Mitch  [author] 24 Mar @ 2:58pm
@poopsock It's the minimum number of zombies required for the object to start taking damage. I guess I could add this explanation as a tooltip to make it less confusing.
poopsock 24 Mar @ 2:21pm
Thanks @Mich! Also one last thing, the features tab seems a little ambiguous in what it does. Is this mod a multiplier for the object's health? Is the number meant to represent the number of zombies needed to start damaging?
Mitch  [author] 24 Mar @ 1:32pm
@poopsock Thanks for the suggestion. I actually wanted to add links to point to each other like that but I kept forgetting.

I will work on the feature to choose which objects you want to use the mod with soon.
poopsock 24 Mar @ 1:03pm
2 things, you shouold link your metal structures mod somewhere in the description and vice versa. The second thing is I think it would be nice to toggle on or off if zombies can attack/destroy each object listed. I've been asking TiS for a while about adding this feature because there are players like me who want to build barricades and things to protect our base, but dont want to deal with having the outer wall or walls of our handmade homes broken.
Mitch  [author] 14 Mar @ 1:16pm
@🔰 My apologies, you are correct, the default is actually 3. I had it changed in my local for some reason, probably something I was testing at some point.

Regardless, your barricades should be losing health only when at least 3 zombies are attacking them. It looks like you are in build 42 so that's not the issue here. I can suggest resubscribing to the mod. If that still doesn't work please don't hesitate to send me another message.
🔰 14 Mar @ 12:18pm
then there is something really weird happening. here is the proof from my sandbox options with all default values:

https://imgur.com/a/vi4tzqY

all text is white, so unchanged and the tooltip shows barricade settings
Mitch  [author] 11 Mar @ 7:26pm
@🔰 The default setting for wooden barricades is 1. Did you change it to 3 in your sandbox options?
🔰 11 Mar @ 7:21pm
thats weird then. just checked the settings and default for wooden barricade is 3. the minimum for anything is 3. or does 3 somehow relate to 1 zombie?
Mitch  [author] 9 Mar @ 6:04am
@🔰 I just checked and it's working correctly. Maybe you are playing with the default configuration which allows a single zombie to destroy wooden barricades. Remember that you can customize the mod through the sandbox options. Let me know if you are still having issues.
Mitch  [author] 8 Mar @ 3:42pm
@🔰 Yes, it should work for barricades on doors and windows alike. I will check soon, perhaps the latest update broke something.
🔰 8 Mar @ 3:32pm
Does " barricades" mean barricaded doors / windows? Because i had a single zombie break down 4 door planks (over quite some time though) on default settings. I thought that shouldnt have been possible
Mitch  [author] 3 Mar @ 5:06am
@Wesch Sure, thank you for checking out my mods.
Wesch 3 Mar @ 4:10am
Thought that was what this mod did, thanks for clarifying
Mitch  [author] 3 Mar @ 4:08am
@Wesch No, it makes them immune to small (configurable) zombie groups. It doesn't increase durability, or health for that matter.
Wesch 3 Mar @ 4:03am
The mod was originally supposed to give metal/wooden structures more durability as in health right?
Mitch  [author] 3 Mar @ 4:02am
@Wesch I can't see either of these as potential solutions. This mod is supposed to protect the structures mentioned in the description no matter the game speed. Making a separate mod would be pointless. Same with adding an option to disable it. At that point disabling the mod altogether would be a better option.

I'm still not understanding the inconvenience you are experiencing.
Wesch 3 Mar @ 3:45am
If a zombie is hitting a structure at the same spot for a while then ofcourse its eventually gonna break through and if you fast forward then that makes sense.
You could've made that a seperate mod similar to https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3170356924&searchtext=Fast+Forward
or could've atleast added a sandbox option for that
Mitch  [author] 3 Mar @ 3:39am
@Wesch Time fast forwards regardless. I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Wesch 3 Mar @ 3:35am
yes, its fast forward for a reason
Mitch  [author] 3 Mar @ 3:24am
@Wesch There is no option to turn it off. Structures break down if two or more zombies are attacking the same spot during fast forward. This fixes that. Are you finding it inconvenient?
Wesch 3 Mar @ 3:18am
Is there an option to turn it off? since its suppose to be like that
Mitch  [author] 3 Mar @ 2:58am
@Wesch That is a workaround introduced in the latest update to fix structures breaking down when fast-forwarding.
Wesch 3 Mar @ 2:26am
There is a bug with this mod, when speeding up time zombies that are breaking windows/doors will suddenly just start aimlessly walking into those until time resumes normally again in which they begin thumping the structures
Mitch  [author] 19 Feb @ 4:07pm
@Slalt Good to hear that it's working now.
Slalt 19 Feb @ 3:48pm
Man, it worked now. For some reason the steam had blocked the download before and I didn't notice. Thank you for the quick answer. :steamhappy:
Mitch  [author] 19 Feb @ 3:34pm
@Slalt I've just double checked and it shows up just fine. Try resubscribing maybe?
Slalt 19 Feb @ 3:16pm
hey ... for some reason it is not appearing on the mod list ... is everything ok?
Mitch  [author] 23 Jan @ 5:11am
@VII I appreciate your kind words.
VII 21 Jan @ 4:39pm
@Mich you sir do gods work. love the updates to config
Mitch  [author] 21 Jan @ 10:31am
@™ I have improved the configuration options. Please let me know if you find any issues.
Mitch  [author] 20 Jan @ 10:43pm
@™ I will look into expanding the configuration options to allow more flexibility.
Mitch  [author] 20 Jan @ 10:41pm
@VII I'm glad to hear that you figured it out.
20 Jan @ 6:50am
I love that you added barricades, but I think the amount of zombies needed to take down a barricade should be different than that amount that can take down a wall. I have it set so that 3 zombies can take down a wooden wall, but I think it makes sense that 1 zombie could take down a barricade. Would be awesome to have another sandbox option
VII 20 Jan @ 5:12am
@mich sorry for blasting the comments but just tested it out and now from what i can see long standing structures works really well with DWF so long as that option is turned off.
VII 20 Jan @ 4:27am
@Mich Wow thanks for the quick response right after pumping out updates. hmm just looking through my sandbox setup and i have noticed a few options that need to be turned off and adjusted mainly an option to do with DWF (modified thumping behavior ) needs to be turned off to play nice with wandering zombies and could of been effecting things will adjust this and see if that will fix the issue but right now its bed time XD.
Mitch  [author] 20 Jan @ 4:07am
@VII I use the mod Destroyable World Fences , it does not seem to cause the issue you are describing. That said, are you perhaps using Unbreakable Metal Fences ? If my memory serves me right, I think that mod had a similar issue.
VII 20 Jan @ 3:35am
@Mich this mod may well just fix an issue i have, i use "destroyable world fences" and the issue i have is there is a setting for how many mobs are needed before the thumping happens to break the fence down. Anything higher than 1 causes this bit of ick where the mobs just try to walk through the fence until more arrive it kills the immersion a bit,now the question is how hard would it be to add this function to other mods/barricades there is about 3-5 mods in my line up that would all tie together with sort of function not to mention a few mods i could drop as this would make a few of them unneeded.
Mitch  [author] 19 Jan @ 12:41pm
@danny_is_dude If you are talking about individual configuration for each structure, that's not something I was considering adding. Currently it's a fixed amount (the one configurable through the sandbox options) for every structure.

Once upon a time, I was working on a feature to scale this amount automatically based on the structure's "perceived" resistance. But due to lack of time on my end, I did not finish such feature. Besides, I did not sense that the majority of the community wanted this change. So to be honest, I was a always reluctant whether this would be well received or not. Perhaps I should make a poll.
danny_is_dude 19 Jan @ 12:05pm
Is there any chance you plan on adding more structures to the list? Even if only as sandbox options, it would be super useful. I want to increase the number of zombies required to destroy basic wooden doors.
