Map Author Error - Forgot to enable starting Folder after fixing map due to DLC update - Embarrassing to say the least!

very nice map - it was enjoyable :)

i like to point out few issues (dont know if it was intended):
- at the starting location bugs are spawning from bug hives (or rather bug tunels) at half progress (maybe not all of them but i noticed it on the left bug tunel)
- Plasma granadiers are spawning at left corner (near base) outside of the map (i dont know if this is what you mention in comments) - there was cca 30 of them when i finish the map
- left base can be skipped (so no scorpions) and last base can be captured in this setup without introducing new enemies and offers landing pad.
- i would probably switch scorpions and tanker appearing

Update to Map:

Due to the recent update made to the game which changed some property's on some Decor items which where used in this mission caused a one of the bug invasions to spawn out of place and onto cliffs, which in turn made the map laggy and unplayable as you could not target and kill them.

Well, I don't know where the hidden location is.
but I had a good time without the extra reinforcement. Only the plasma grenadiers were a bit of a pain.
As for the beginning, it is hard but I don't see it as exaggerated either.
You have to go little by little and know how to place the towers.

I didn't say it is not beatable, I am saying there is too less hope on sight when you hit surface. I played another map very early before that has very familiar situation at initial combat zone, that bugs are flooding at you constantly, but you have less(not none) to worry about holding the line and you have a clear view(which is very important) on battle ground, which all allow you to planning your attack.
However in here the surroundings are dark and bugs coming from all direction all the time and your base will be in danger if you don't left something behind to defend it. The bunker is located in forward position and none repairable, which further hinder the hope of doing this thing slow, because with time it will be overrun and so follows your base, but with all surroundings ex-dangerous and dark, you really can't hope to attack quickly.

Thanks all for the Feedback on the Mission. But i would like to clarify something.

The starting position of this map is very much beatable. It has been play tested before the release by different players with different skill levels and all managed to beat it.

Yes it will take time to beat, but it can be done. You just need patience and good micro-management of your units, This is not a click and point Attack move order mission and do nothing else, You need your move your units manually bit by bit and you shall reach your goal.

Starting with the Left Hive is a Good Choice

You Can build a Steel bunker, using combat engineers, Once built, build your two HMG towers next to it, with the help of the A.I units this will hold the base. While you slowly but surely clear the initial area.

And with respect, when endless and flooding bugs coming for you from 3 directions, and you only have 8 pop limited to basic troops with no radiomen, tactical is bullshit, you just need more boots on ground to really do any tactics

Replayed it and I still feel the initial combat zone is far too harsh, you have big problems on step out the base, and 2 hmg turrets is far from enough to help hold the base, it is not really doomed for sure, but the chance of success is pretty much not at your favor. I really advise ease the first part a bit so people can really play on this map, you should at least have some hope on sight, instead of never ending bugs swarming on you with no gap

reward is 1 war support so you can have 3 power troopers in battle afterwards, very handy

The hidden place is a terrain that only appears once in this map, if you already played raid on ion5 map, you already knew it on sight

I could really use more gun or intel on initial combat area, just can't find a clear path to those hives or lairs, and they spawn way too fast, I barely get progress even with flame thrower and chemicals, there is simply too many of those bugs and they don't have a gap on spawning.
For the rest part of the map they are good and epic

It's a good scenario. There is a lot of plasma grenadier but it is not an abuse that prevents you from playing.

1 hidden location?
I know it must be hidden, but can you give any clue as to what it is or what it does?
I walked around the entire map and didn't see anything strange. I found it the same and I didn't give it that importance. Maybe it refers to a terminal to call for reinforcements?

Hi Thanks for both the feed-backs.

The arachnids are a swarm enemy, so the idea is they have limitless numbers. This map is more than run and spray and pray, you require tactical thinking and placement of your units + also choosing the right units to clear your path forward. This is a very Tactical map taking your time is key.

The map is winnable, and has been tested by many people before its release to make sure the map is winnable.

I have received some feedback for issues within the mission, so will be updating the map soon enough with those fixes (Though these do not affect the Game play enough to warrant an immediate update)

because There are too many bugs to be brushed in the nest, scorpions, grenades, royal guards, tanks, all of which lead to a bunch of bugs crowded at the door and easily cleared by rockets. Overall, I gave it four stars, but it was too lengthy.

The level has been cleared, and the most difficult part should be at the beginning. There are only 8 supply points, and at most there are only two teams of infantry, one team of Spitfire or Biochemical soldiers. I first created two gun turrets to help defend. The Spitfire soldiers were replaced by Biochemical soldiers and wanted to advance from the top left. This stage is the most difficult because there is a constant supply of insects. Even if there are no insects in the small nest, it will not be possible to brush soldiers. It can attack and destroy small nests, but it will be much easier with armored power soldiers in the back. The trouble is that the grenadier bugs can only be dealt with by sniper soldiers because there are no grenade cavalry, and only rocket soldiers can be deployed. Another difficulty is the final big slope sprint,

已通关,最难的地方应该是刚刚开始,只有8个补给点,最多只有两队步枪兵,一队喷火兵或者生化兵,我先制造了两门炮台帮助防守,喷火兵换成生化兵想左上方推进,这一阶段是最困难的,因为虫子源源不断,小巢穴没有虫子也会不行刷兵,可以攻击摧毁的小巢穴也是,后面有了装甲动力兵就容易多了,麻烦的是掷弹兵虫子,最后只能用狙击兵对付,因为没有榴弹骑兵,只能全出火箭兵,另一个难点就是最后的大坡冲刺,因为巢穴要刷的虫子太多了,蝎子,掷弹,皇家守卫,坦克,直就导致一堆虫子挤在门口,被火箭轻松收拾,总的来说我给四星,但是太冗长了。

I understand that the mission is supposed to be hard and long, but... Is it normal that bugs spawn from their hives and burrows just in frenzied numbers, with almost 0 cooldown, and the most important thing is that the mechanics of the hives are just damn broken. Bugs spam even when the hive's combat capability counter in all its outputs is 0. Waves also have a minimum cooldown, which is why I can't even clean 1 hive at the beginning of the map. The whole gameplay boils down to the fact that you are trying to break through the endless spawn of the hive, you get FUCKED, you run to replenish units, at the same time there is a wave, you get FUCKED AGAIN, and while you return to the landing site with 1-2 units, wave + spawn from the hive just shanks the allied infantry into cabbage, they will smash the bunker and shank you and that's it. GAME OVER.
