Well, I finally got to the bottom of it! It was caused by a combination of Neutral mob mods with an improper setting. I'll never know why the log reported Chaos every time but it wasn't this mod :steamthumbsup:

new test: 1. loaded the save, entered debug mode, 2. disabled CSM AI, then also deleted all units, 3. disabled debug mode and saved the game, 4. loaded new save and ended turn
Ended up with the same results, "human playing as CSM" CTD

This confounds me lol, I deleted every unit and then the cities to be certain, but the game still attempts to process Chaos' turn and CTDs

The issue must came from a units, even if the faction is defeated the units can still act as another AI or neutral.

You must destroy them... all.

Well, weirdly enough even after deleting all their cities and killing the faction, the game still crashed and the error report still says it's on their turn? Which is bizarre since the Tau, who were eliminated earlier in the game, do not appear in turns...

You mean the Heroes of Legend - TMV patch ? No, it contain only extension files that can be used without this mod (or others).

You can try debugging your game by using the Ctrl+d (debug mod) and to check what the Chaos does. Try to erase stuff here and there and maybe you'll find your culprit :)

My apologies, turns out I'm not currently subbed to this mod, just a bunch of your other Hero mods. I do have TMV and the patch, is it possible having the patch but not having this mod could cause a problem?

Yeah, that's how i create stuff. By putting them where they'll fit the most. Mostly, my stuff mid game focused. But this depend between all my mods obviously.

Abaddon is based on the terminator rig because he only wear terminator armor. I won't change that.

As for the Chaos Predator summoned by Eliphas, as long as their performance are close to vanilla one (ore more feedback for other player), it's good to me.

Meanwhile Eliphas is alredy very cool, unique and quite strong hero, I don't think he needs ability to summon a whole tank out of nowhere. But if it's unique feature of him and his legion, these tanks can be limited just by two: one annihilator, one destructor (and probably two different buttons to get exact type of tank first (if it's not lore-based thing)), no more, and price can be raised from 60-60 to 100-100 as payment for "no time to build", "no queue in factory taken", "no time to travel", "no obstacles to care about".

P.S. about Abaddon: his attack animation is very clumsy and silly, what about replacing it with animation of Chaos Lord or Eliphas?

I rised up the cooldown of both (8 marines and 10 land raider) and the cost of the marines summoning to 250 from 200. For the army summoning, since Abaddon is a mid/late game hero, summoning marines (low tier infantry) doesn't seem broken to me. An havoc squad will be wiped easily for example.

As for summoning a Land Raider as an ult don't forget this :

1- Abadonn is unique (cannot duplicate until its death)
2- and if he died, your entire army will be crippled for a long time
3- he is a Tier 6 hero (much more heavy tier than regular hero in the game)
4- he is the Warmaster of the Chaos :p

All these transform/summon unit abilities are kinda too strong.

Abaddon is a legendary person, but immediately summoning own unique land raider out of nowhere and so cheap is too much. I watched lvl 6 abilities of some vanilla heroes, and in comparison to other abilities they're strong...but not devastating + annihilating. To be more fitting to lvl 6 abilities of other heroes, I can say that Abaddon can transform common landraider into own cool one.
Another his ability of summoning a whole army looks too strong too. Second Chaos hero can summon random daemon for a 3 turns as a lvl 6 ability. What if such army can be summoned only temporary too? For about...6 turns with 10 turns reload probably? Or get significantly more expensive if not temporary (up to 500 probably with 10 turns reload).

Ahah ! :D It's normal, it's a hero ! All heroes (unless the Wraithseer) are unique. You can't build them more than once. I forgot to add the "unique" trait by the time but it's fixed now.

The Tormentor just arrived on Gladius with an army of Iron Warriors, never the war will be the same now... Will you shred your enemies with the Iron Havoc from distance ? Dirty fighting with the Shock Marines ? Makes defensive line with the Castellan Rhino ? Splash the enemy with ectoplasma ? Or destroying everything with the Iron Circle ? It's the "GenericUnitAbility:getHealingScore" crash ? Some folks already get this one. I made a lot of testing in the past and it seem related to the healing/turn of the Necrons when played by AI with custom map mods.
