making alternate skins is a bit harder than you'd think (especially since they're all timebombs at the moment, see the messages below) and i'm much more afraid to touch other characters' gimmicks than i am kragg
if i were to make one for anyone i think it'd be Elliana, there's definitely a few things i'd change to suit my mood more but i think i'd like to work on other things for now
hopefully he can inspire other people to make their own "alternate" characters ! ..maybe after they stop crashing

i love the "alternate" kragg, just having like an sol-order sol dinamic makes me happy, could you do that to other characters? (not clarien, that one is done to death)

further update. big advancements. i think i found out how to circumvent it

BEFORE THE TIME BOMB IS SET UP (if you played a match with Rakugaki BUT NO KRAGG,) if you play a match afterwards ((be sure to not load kragg!!)) with Neither Rakugaki NOR Kragg ((no rock bugs present)), that SEEMS to reset the timebomb (you can play a match with them together again)

you do not need to reset the game as long as you're very careful !! i think? maybe. from my testing that SEEMS to work

you can play rakugaki whenever you want, but ;

-if the first match you play with Rakugaki DOESN'T Have Kragg, never play Kragg until you're done playing as Rakugaki

-if you first match you play with Rakugaki DOES have Kragg, play Kragg for as long as you want, but as soon as they Stop Being Kragg (once the match has No Kraggs, you CAN trade WHO plays as Kragg as long as there is always atleast 1 Kragg on the field) never play kragg again until you're done playing as Rakugaki

this seems to reduce the crashes to none ((i hope)), this info also applies to other skins (or atleast Shovel Knight ones) so

i hope this makes sense !

ok so If I have this right: Play rakugaki while someone else is playing kragg, and then from there never play kragg again?

update-update. it also happens with other character skins (or atleast with Shovel Knight) so i guess skins in general are just really crashy and there is definitely nothing i can do . im sorry :(

Update. awesome update. i figured it out. i labbed it
IT IS NOT RAKUGAKI'S FAULT ((it happens with other Kragg skins i tested)) It occurs when you re-load Kragg, it's nothing i can fix myself. so what is very consistent is like

-Playing a match with Rakugaki, but without Kragg (sometimes you need another workshop character present, sometimes it just works with basecast)
-after that match, if somebody selects Kragg, Rakugaki "refreshes"
-the game is dead at that point. rakugaki (or any other kragg skin) becomes a timebomb even if you deselect them (the game continues to work fine if you just play as someone else with rakugaki gone but pick him again and game go boom)

so the best advice i can give is to load Rakugaki and Kragg TOGETHER and as soon as kragg leaves the room consider him dead and never pick him again until you reset the game i guess
that's not the response i would've liked to tell you but that's how it is i guess

because i know that if you press F5 to reload custom content while standing on a rock the game just explodes, which is very weird because i did not touch rock or his colission box at all, and the crashlogs just point to loading things and not really any scripts
so i have no clue if the crashes are even in my power to be able to fix??

if i knew how to code rock there's a likelihood that i could just make rakugaki his own character slot instead of an advanced skin and that MIGHT fix the crashing ?? but i don't know how to code . so that's troublesome

i honestly have absolutely no idea what is causing the crashing, whenever the crash happens it's during a loading screen (atleast for me it was) and it only happens Sometimes. sometimes it works just fine and others it crashes even when you do the exact same things

it might just be an advanced kragg skin problem??? i haven't really played with other kragg skins but i was just hoping that it would just Work Ingame but if you're saying that it happens in free-for-alls thats very concerning

I really like this mod. It gives kragg the nerf he absolutely needed, and allows the heavy character to actually play like a heavy. No more busted recovery, no more insane combos, just big guy hits big. My issue is the crash rate. I'm not sure if this mod works properly, and especially in 4 player free for all, me and my friends had a lot of issues with it. I really hope this gets fixed, because I would love to play this without a risk of a complete crash.
