Great mod! There is a small bug: icon counter takes into account cards which were discarded through the portal.

Awesome mode. Thank you! Any chance for adding ARNO 3.0 solo cards?

Hello all - I have now released 5.0 with some bug fixes and with Map Pack 2 added. Thanks to MrFancyTrex for providing the assets!

Couple of notes - you'll see that the map pack 2 assets are a bit lower resolution than the previous ones. That's just to do with the quality of the scans I have available. I'll improve once I have better ones.
I also corrected a bunch of small bugs - the one where the hand limit university does not replenish in Marine Worlds is proving tricky though, so that one isn't fixed yet, but I'll look further into it whenever I have time. It is not game breaking so hopefully doesn't cause too many problems.

Have fun!

@MochiMochi change your rotation increment in the top menu
Lamios  [author] 4 Jan @ 4:20pm
@MochiMochi I'm not sure what you mean by diagonal grids?

@Spearhead thanks for reporting, I'll look into that.
Nor Dogroth 2 Jan @ 9:46am
Thank you very much for the fix!
MochiMochi 2 Jan @ 12:50am
How do you rotate the enclosures to fit diagonal grids? It kept jumping from horizontal to vertical

Beautiful

thank u so much for this ,very helpful for me
Spearhead 20 Nov, 2024 @ 11:29pm
Very nice improvements. Noticed a few minor things in recent games: The "Flip cards" button does not update on starting the game but does so if a player reconnects to the host. Also in marine Worlds the university with the hand limit increase seems to not replenish from the stock. Worked in yesterday's base game playthrough, though.
Cadaver Dog 11 Nov, 2024 @ 5:33pm
Yes, map pack 2!!!
DocteurA 20 Oct, 2024 @ 12:51am
Great Thanks for this patch !
MrFancyTrex 13 Oct, 2024 @ 12:36pm
@Lamios Gotcha, I sent the request and I'll see if I can find a way to get them to you
Lamios  [author] 13 Oct, 2024 @ 12:28pm
@MrFancyTrex sure! If you can send them my way I'm happy to add them. Feel free to add me as a friend on steam and I'll share an e-mail address you can send it to.
Fyi I'm travelling until halloween so it will have to wait until then.
MrFancyTrex 9 Oct, 2024 @ 8:16pm
@Lamios Map Pack 2 just got released a week or so ago with 5 brand new maps if there is a way I can send you the maps scans and you could add them that would be great!
Lamios  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 1:39pm
@LOLI SOVIÉTICA - that sounds like a failure to download the Kraken table (the asset this mod uses). I recommend deleting the mod completely and trying to reinstall it; you should not have to import any tables yourself.

@Nilsi - This is what the rulebook says about this:

`In the rare case that you drew 3 cards of the same action type, draw 1 more random Action card of another action type. You must use that one and 1 of the 3 Action cards you drew initially.`

You can find this deck in the top left, directly up from the "Pass Cards" button - Alternate Action Cards should be the third deck from the left on the horizontal divider.
LOLI SOVIÉTICA 5 Oct, 2024 @ 11:30am
When I open the mod the game is not under any table, without being able to line up the action cards and when I try to place a table, the game becomes bigger than it and loses all configuration, how can I solve this?
Nilsi 5 Oct, 2024 @ 10:44am
I am probably dumb, but when we play as two. we get 3 "bonus" action cards each. and if I am to pick 1 last action card, for instance a "build" type of card, and I already have it. Am I not supposed to pick a random new bonus action card there, if so, where do I do that? I can't seem to find this deck of cards....
Lamios  [author] 5 Oct, 2024 @ 10:33am
@warner392 - Click "subscribe" and it should show up as an option to use inside "Create Game" on Tabletop Simulator.

@MrFancyTrex - Which ones?
MrFancyTrex 3 Oct, 2024 @ 6:26pm
Will the new maps be added to this eventually?
warner392 2 Oct, 2024 @ 8:09pm
new to steam, want to play this. can anyone help?
ProfessorLizzard 18 Sep, 2024 @ 4:23am
Thank you for the money fix! I have not been able to schedule a three player game recently, but if i can, I will report back with the results.
Lamios  [author] 17 Sep, 2024 @ 2:36pm
Just uploaded the fix for bug #1 (player money), hope that helps. Still haven't been able to reproduce the others though - will try again a bit later, but any extra info is appreciated if you come across anything.
ProfessorLizzard 15 Sep, 2024 @ 8:35am
Tried to reproduce it with a friend, the issue did not appear. I will try again with three players another time when I can.
Lamios  [author] 12 Sep, 2024 @ 4:33am
Awesome, no problem! I should be back next monday so happy to have a more detailed look then.
ProfessorLizzard 11 Sep, 2024 @ 6:51am
Thank you for the reply! I will try to get more info on the scoring card issue.
Lamios  [author] 9 Sep, 2024 @ 4:48pm
Hello @ProfessorLizzard - I'm currently on holiday so I don't really have access to the system to debug this. Just letting you know that it will take a little bit. I had a quick look at the script at least and figured out the way to reproduce (and fix) problem 1, so it should be a simple fix once my holiday is over. I have not found or been able to reproduce 2 and 3 in my 30 min of replication, so if you have any other details on how often they trigger please do let me know (I tried with 3 player games and everyone got their final scoring cards). Otherwise I'll dig a bit deeper once I'm back.

Glad you enjoy the mod!
ProfessorLizzard 8 Sep, 2024 @ 1:52pm
Hello! We are really enjoying the mod, glad you fixed the other one. But there are some issues still.
1, Yellow player gets an extra money during startup.
2, When multiple players are present during setup, half of them only get a single Final Scoring card.
3, Sometimes Refill Display will say Flip Display even when the game has started. I will get back to you about how to reproduce this one, but also seems to be related to multiple players.
Lamios  [author] 25 Aug, 2024 @ 9:18am
Glad you enjoy it!
theDUFF 25 Aug, 2024 @ 9:10am
@Lamios Ok. Thanks. We’ve already banned the Lake, but I was just asking on the off chance there was a better way.
BTW – top work on the mod. It is fantastic. Thank you for all your time and effort.
Lamios  [author] 25 Aug, 2024 @ 8:19am
@theDUFF not at the moment unfortunately - the mod is built to replicate the board game as much as possible and this would be a problem in the actual board game too, which is designed for asymmetrical play (as you only get one physical copy of each map). I don't currently have the time to make the scripting work with copied maps (other responsibilities atm), but I'll add it to a list of feature requests and when I have bit more time I'll look into that.

My suggestions would be to just ban Silver Lake outright in your group (it's definitely an outlier, and I don't think other top performing maps have such a large delta - Rescue Station, Outdoor Areas, Park Restaurant are all solidly in the "good" territory), or to use the flipsides (Map A) if you want everyone to have an easier time.
theDUFF 25 Aug, 2024 @ 7:58am
Is it possible to ensure that all players use the same map from the map pack when playing? Some maps, like Lake, seem slightly overpowered, so we'd prefer everyone to play on the same map. However, there is only one version of each map, and copying them in Tabletop Simulator seems to break the scripting. Is there a way to work around this?
Lamios  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 4:54am
Hey everyone - just to let you all know, pushed version 4.0 through today, with big changes to the layout, clearer separation of boards, tons of bugfixes (including, hopefully, to the scripting problems that some people were having) and much better Marine Worlds support.

v4.0 is purely the work of Informal_Geek and he should get all the credit for it, he's been amazing with this!

A full list of changes is available in the Notebook in game under "Releases".

Have fun!
The Dave 26 Jul, 2024 @ 10:18am
Fired this up and initially looks very promising. If I manage to get a game in I will report back..
Lamios  [author] 21 Jul, 2024 @ 9:37am
Thanks @craig_richard - I've tried reuploading from a version that's definitely working on my end. Can you update and let me know?

If that doesn't fix it then the asset for the table is definitely borked, so I'll look into recovering that.
Qweg 21 Jul, 2024 @ 6:58am
Confirming script shows broken my end still
Lamios  [author] 20 Jul, 2024 @ 5:32pm
Hey @Strix @Aldarys28 @DURIAN

Mind confirming whether the issue is still happening or not? From the logs you've shared it looks like the table was failing to load. I've not had that happen to me, on my side it seems to be working correctly - perhaps Steam's assets failed to load the table for a while for whatever reason.

Let me know if it happens again and I'll have a look.
Strix 20 Jul, 2024 @ 1:16pm
It works again! Woohoo!
Strix 18 Jul, 2024 @ 6:53pm
Confirming the same broken script error. :(
aldarys28 18 Jul, 2024 @ 4:39pm
Good to see I'm not the only one. I got this error on the other Mod for Ark Nova as well.
aldarys28 18 Jul, 2024 @ 4:38pm
Playing today started getting this error with the script:
Error in Script (Global) function <onLoad.: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Error in Script (Global) function <onSave>: chunk_4:(1927,2-32): bad argument #1 to '!!next_i!!' (table expected, got nil) <10>
DURIAN 18 Jul, 2024 @ 1:41pm
This mod appears to be broken for me at the moment. None of the buttons seem to work and I get the following error when I first create a game:

"Error in Script (Global) function <onLoad>: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Error in Script (Global) function <onSave>: chunk_4: (1924,2-32): bad argument #1 to '!!next_i!!' (table expected, got nul)"
Judas the Priest 12 Jul, 2024 @ 12:35am
Hi there Lamios, I realize I didn't follow this up. I ended up resolving the issue (I had mod caching off in an attempt to fix issues with other mods - turning it back on solved the issue). I did end up creating a little fork of this mod with a more standard resolution for the 1-tile image and that also fixed it, but privatized the fork since it no longer seems necessary. I'm happy to share anyway if requested. Thanks Lamios :)
Caramel 9 Jul, 2024 @ 6:02am
Thank you!
Lamios  [author] 2 Jul, 2024 @ 4:30pm
Just pushed the suggestions above from Informal Geek after he graciously shared a save with me - all the thanks go to him!
Informal_Geek 1 Jul, 2024 @ 10:39am
I have a save I can share with you, where I modified the map bag, and the build section. I sent an FR if interested.
Lamios  [author] 29 Jun, 2024 @ 5:24pm
Hey @Informal_Geek! Great suggestions, thanks for reaching out.

Grimnebulin was the original author of this scripted version, and I just took over when it broke and he was away. I've only done a few fixes to get the broken things working, but I've not done any actual asset changes or fiddled with the contents.

That being said, I'll see what I can do. I do have a day job and it takes a fair bit of time, so it might take a bit, but when I next have a slow weekend I'll look at updating those.

Have a good one!
Informal_Geek 28 Jun, 2024 @ 12:20pm
Hi, if you're still actively updating this mod, I have a few suggestions of things to update/include.

First up, would you mind swapping the rulebook out with it's 1.2 revision? Here's a link to it: https://capstone-games.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Ark-Nova-Rulebook.pdf

Second one, would you consider adding the official 1a-8a map variants that the designers Mathias and Bastian created for BGA, and also made available for download use?

BGG File: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/281859/alternative-version-of-zoo-maps-1-8-as-published-o

Lastly, would you consider bringing in Icarus's one page player aid file?

Lamios  [author] 23 Jun, 2024 @ 9:57am
@Judas the Priest - one tile being completely black (and others not) is usually some networking blip and failing to download that specific tile from the steam CDN. When that happens I recommend saving and reloading to try to force the game to re-download the tile. If any particular tile is giving you extra trouble, let me know which and I'll try reuploading it.

@Findsthelost - I can't reproduce. Do you get any specific error message? Just started a few games and they worked fine.

@lin135711 - No worries, welcome to TTS :) The maps are in a little brown bag on the edge of the able, right above the Aquarium tiles. They're easy to miss as the bag color is very similar to the color of the wood on the table. If you look a straight line up from the Large Aquarium you should be able to spot them. If you're still struggling poke me and I'll send you a screenshot. Enjoy playing!
Lamios  [author] 23 Jun, 2024 @ 9:57am
@jeffvdp - not sure what's up with the import custom dialog box. Neither me nor any of the people I've asked to test get that. The assets are distributed through steam's Content Delivery Netwrk (CDN), so maybe check if there is some networking rule on your side blocking download of steam assets? That's my only idea - unfortunately can't reproduce your problem, so it's hard to advise correctly.

@anneisaway - can you expand a bit on what tiles aren't snapping correctly? Make sure you have clicked "Start Game" and the maps have become large enough to fit the whole playing board - otherwise their dimensions will be off. I've not encountered snapping problems so far, but if you do, you can always rotate tiles by hovering them and pressing Q/E on your keyboard (or another key if you've changed the binding for this - Q/E are the defaults for rotation), which can help when the snapping is slightly off.
