mikelangelo70 who updated my cathay units for 5.2.6 has told me he deleted the ones i fixed. So expect it to also happen to the rest when i update them as well. (sorry missclick deleted wrong comment)

It's also an issue i've heard that changed almost an entire table composition and i'm yet to look into how its even supposed to be fixed. If someone already did the fix on their own for their campaign i'm more then happy to implement your fix into the mod. This also applies to other mods i've made.

i've been meaning to update my mods but i'm both unmotivated to do anything wh3 related lately because of the same issue of wh3 being unplayable for me, and because im in late stage graphic design course project. So expect this mod to be updated maybe in a week.

Hey man, love the work, I've tinkered with the mod a bit to make it work on the current patch with the RoR being properly recruit-able please let me know if you want me to send you the updated version with a note of what I changed to get it to work.

Further adding to Cinder's comment, the RoR unit still appears in the battle/skirmish mode but not in the campaign mode.

downloaded this mod and seems to all be working ok in most recent patch however the RoR doesn't seem to be appearing.

in patch 4.0 they mentioned it depends on the unit cost.
0-500 = tier 1
500-1000 = tier 2
1000-1500 = tier 3
1500-2000 = tier 4
2000+ = tier 5
if you look at chaos roster it makes sense

in terms of changing tiers its not a problem. It's mostly figuring out what count's as a tier.

For example dragon guard crossbows are really strong but are only tier 3. swordmasters of hoeth are a tier 3 unit. Meanwhile Tzar Guard are tier 4, Har Ganeth Executioners are tier 4. You'd think they all belong in tier 4 but nope.

@Orendiz Shame indeed. But I do hope that at one point they will get a Greatsword unit. Maybe with Li-Dao delivering the goods along with the new incarnation of the Dragon Monks who punch literal holes in the enemy...

@Herls i'll think about it. Generally i'm fine with making an updated version with the sword&shield and the cav variants. But the bows and artillery i kind of detest. And in general there's already 2 alternatives that i like more on the workshop. That being panda riders, and a stand alone celestial swords unit that's on the workshop.

With my mod you can already field Royal armies with halberds as the frontline, greatswords as the dps offense, and crossbows for the backline. The celestial guard version of artillery kinda just make it so it's harder to kill artillery in melee which isnt something you want on any faction.

The creator hasn't updated since 2022 and has openly said that he is no longer modding and that anyone can take the mod "and do what they want with it"

It adds a bunch of celestial guard units like sword and shield, archers, even artillery units so you can field entire royal armies of them if you want. It is a fantastic mod and it would be a shame if it went to waste.

Just a recommendation - on their unit card, I would write it as "Greatswords" with a capital G (as seen in Shades (Greatswords)), or as "Great Weapons", as some units have it.

@ben Cathay appears to be a fusion of empire and dwarfs. Ironically though, both factions have a dps unit in the form of Greatswords or hammerers.

While Cathay infantry mainly focused on just being good line holder units. It's indeed strange how we don't have a single non missile unit that's focused around dps. Unless CA thought that dragon guard on their own are supposed to fill that role even though with all the buffs it's still only good for being an anti large line holder unit.

Found the problem. It appears since i used empire greatswords as a template i forgot to remove the additional blacksmith building requirement
