Can I use this mod if I don't have the Ideology DLC? I know that skulls exist in the base game, but they can only be obtained with the DLC

for all who want to reduce the number of helmets in raids here is the solution:
go to steamapps\workshop\content\294100\3216459199\1.5\Defs\ThingDefs_Armor
and in the Helmets...xml files in the ThingDef tag add <generateAllowChance>0.1</generateAllowChance>

@pphhyy Hello. As much as I like this mod. Can you please lessen the Bone Helm II spawning rate on every factions?

It keeps spawning on every faction whether it's a raid/invade/crossing/etc. That makes the other headgear appear less instead of having pawns with different helms or masks. It even spawn on the new VFE - Medieval 2 factions.

Why is the armor so heavy? 15kg for a helmet seems way too much since pawns can only carry 35kg anyway.

Hey, im either missing something, or ive run into a bug. I cant seem to craft the spiked helmet at the barbarian armor workbench (in the helmets showcase its the middle one) do i have to research something other then the barbarians research to unlock that helm?

to everyone who wishes to decrease item spawn rates: you may do so with Rimmsqol
by default, everything in this mod has a 100% chance of spawning on a randomly generated pawn, and with it you can reduce it to as low as 0
you may as well adjust the parts which shield offers protection for while you're at it, as by default it only covers left shoulder

Hi everyone. I might have a solution for helmets spawning. I used mod cherry pick. It kind of deletes those items from game. For me it’s better than everyone coming with same helmets

Yeah too many helmets spawning, going to drop this one out of the list until it gets a patch but its a great mod

Yo pphhyy, I'm using the barbarian mod in my modpack and it's great but a TON of pawns, both in the creation and across all factions, spawn with barbarian helmets and gear. Is it possible to patch this? Make the gear as a starting option only for the barbarian faction and then eventually available after the research? Thanks my dude

This mod has some issues, yes. Not being an ideo style isn't one of them.

These type of mods should not add new items but give STYLE option for items. They bloat game so much. That's why I hesitate to download.

Personal preference/issue: Not a huge fan of bone armor being stronger than mithril/plasteel. Like the design otherwise

The shields not have any defence bonus, only penalties.
i looked in defs and are missing the Sharp, Blunt and Heat armor rating
