@PLMMJ that sounds like a good challenge run concept, lol. I imagine there'd be a huge focus on regeneration and movement items, since it'd basically force every boss fight to be either multiple bosses at once or a boss during an invasion.

Wonder how hard it would be to beat Terraria with this mod serving as your only offense (for sake of sanity and also defeating bosses like Golem, all set to rogue)

@Goholtramor Are you sure you set "Mod Bosses" to Rogue? I just tested it myself and it works fine for me. Keep in mind the mod doesn't change AI, just changes what enemies can or can't be hit by attacks from other enemies.

is it just me or is it not working on bosses? I'm trying to get bosses to kill each other, but trying every option in the config didn't help.

Ok, the bug should be fixed now. This was most likely the cause of critters instantly killing bosses too, and generally made the NPC interactions very glitchy. If yall encounter any more game-breaking bugs like this please tell me, preventing run-ruining things like that is my top priority

I found a bug where slimes can kill any boss, npc or enemy instantly upon touching them. Playing on a 2 player multiplayer server

@Conq_ It's a pity, but the right is yours. I really liked the Super Smash mod, but with it I had to wait for the mobs to spawn and select them manually, and when I found your mod, I realized that your idea with factions is simply brilliant, since by combining the functionality of these mods, the enemies would immediately attack each other. And I would rather not use this mod for passing, but for just fun. Maybe you can think about this better and make it a separate mod or do it as a setting in this mod? I would be incredibly grateful to you.

@TheNessyKing added another check for critters, hopefully your problem will be solved now. The mod already checks for critters and disables them from NPC combat, but I'm assuming another mod changed some values of critters since they work fine for me so I just added more. Make sure you're updated to the latest version, and if it's still happening tell me and I'll look into it more. If it comes down to it you could just switch bosses to "disabled" in the config.

@на релаkсе Changing the actual AI of all the NPCs so they target each other would definitely be cool, but it would be such a colossal undertaking to make something actually playable that I don't think I could pull it off even if this was my main mod, which it isn't. Even if there was a whole team working on it I don't think that could be balanced since Terraria wasn't really built for stuff like that.
My goal with this mod was mainly to make it so when enemies who lore-wise hate each other have chance encounters they actually harm each other, which doesn't change the gameplay too much besides making it a little more entertaining and lore-accurate. Although honestly I didn't even expect the mod to gain so much traction lol, I just wanted to share a fun little thing I made.

hey i found a major bug with this mod and it that anything can be killed instantly by a passive creature like a bunny i found this out when i was doing a play through with 2 of my friends and the mech bosses where just dying randomly i found it out when i watched an snail kill a mimic

Disabling Mod Bosses in the config will fix it. When a faction is disabled they're literally made exempt from any changes in the mod, making them just function like vanilla. (also I just tested it and it works).

Ok yall, given that I've had quite a few comments from people with broken worm bosses, should I have Modded Bosses be disabled by default? It seems like that would make more people happy than not. I'd appreciate some input though just so I know what the mod's players think

To fix Devourer of Gods or any other broken boss, like the Desert Scourge, disable Mod Bosses, and if it still doesn't work (although in my testing with Scourge that was all it took) disable Modded NPCs as well.

@Conq_ And I would still suggest changing the AI ​​of mobs, since it is not very interesting when they can only damage each other by random collision or being hit by a projectile. That is, I propose to make it so that faction members can purposefully attack not only the player, but also members of other factions, like bees do in the jungle.
