caverman2001 7 May @ 9:41am
yes!! thank you for checking, means a lot.
Flemmi  [author] 6 May @ 8:01am
yes, i took a quick look at the code and this still works exactly as in 3.14.
caverman2001 6 May @ 7:38am
do you think this would work for 4.0
EUMIR 24 Jan @ 1:00pm
THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG
Flemmi  [author] 5 Jan @ 11:15pm
yes.
[INVALID STRING] 5 Jan @ 7:51pm
Does this work in the current version?
Flemmi  [author] 19 Jul, 2024 @ 2:18am
it is possible, i currently dont have the time to work it out tho. I would also wonder if that system wouldn't be too harsh on the balance, would some empire types suppress refugees fleeing? would egalitarian empires allow it? How should total war empire handle this? Devouring swarms and driven assimilators might not like it if people try to flee their worlds. there already is an auto resettle feature within the game where pops would leave planets if they cant work there. I think your idea makes sense, i just have a hard time to think up a way to implement it somewhat fair. after all pops are the most important part of the game and having them all flee your empire all the time could cripple your empires expansion.

I wonder can you make a refugee crisis from normal wars. Like after a planetary invasion there are refugees fleeing from their war torn planet, taking a refuge inside the Empire's planets or outside the Empire if there's an Empire allows welcome refugees. idk just my thought and I think it is to much to ask.
Flemmi  [author] 11 Jul, 2024 @ 2:03pm
no, as it is currently it needs a crisis to have happen or be ongoing to trigger. and it also only triggers when a crisis attacks the planet.

Its sort of a double edged crisis. one the one hand during the already dangerous endgame your empire is flooded with pops, but on the other hand during the ongoing crisis you empire is flooded with pops that can be put to work.
cjjohnson995 11 Jul, 2024 @ 1:53pm
Okay better question: does this work without A CRISIS being declared?
Flemmi  [author] 9 Jul, 2024 @ 2:01am
this works with every crisis, i just had the idea when the scourge happend and only individual pops fled.
cjjohnson995 8 Jul, 2024 @ 2:08pm
Does this work without the Scourge?
Steel Driver 6 Jul, 2024 @ 9:07am
@Wilmfe23 Not to mention the technological advancement the US enjoyed in the field of astronomy, rocketry, and a host of other spheres. Hell, Einstein was German.
BurningTemplar 5 Jul, 2024 @ 2:30pm
easy, just purge 'em
Spaceracer 4 Jul, 2024 @ 11:07am
scary fact

europe is not the only place with a refugee crisis
Wilmfe23 2 Jul, 2024 @ 2:38am
I think they should make it like how mass migration really is. Which is something that is difficult to pull off with domestic xenophobia and difficulty integrating people. But with a massive economic boon if you manage to pull it off. A good example of this happening in the real world is when a massive amount of German fled the wars of unification and were settled in the US great lakes region which massively accelerated the industrialization process already going on.

@DiceDexter stop being a bigot ffs.
Wilhelm 1 Jul, 2024 @ 12:08pm
'Europe simulator' cool.
but with pops that actually work.
DiceDexter 1 Jul, 2024 @ 5:36am
Nice mod! Sadly for some bigots the word "refugee" is enough to have them frothing at the mouth
Flemmi  [author] 24 Jun, 2024 @ 1:12am
i am unsure, when i tested with the scourge it was very similar numbers but there is an aspect of randoness, it might be more than pre 3.12 vanilla but i am fairly certain it wont be less.
Joker 23 Jun, 2024 @ 5:16pm
I'm a bit confused, does this mod restore the refugee rate to pre 3.12 vanilla? Or is it higher than it was in 3.11? Either way thanks for making it!

I wonder what just happens to the refugees now after the patch? Do they just, die?

Cool mod btw, I always loved the notification spam in my first successful UNE game about refugees when I first fought the Crisis. It is wonderful for RP
caverman2001 16 Apr, 2024 @ 5:57pm
LOVE YOUR MOD!!!!
Flemmi  [author] 16 Apr, 2024 @ 12:10pm
a reasonable argument. luckly this mod can be added and removed midgame with no issue, should you later change your mind
Uthur 16 Apr, 2024 @ 12:08pm
I would love to add this mod to my game, however I find that the "removal" of pops from crisis or genocidal factions helps with endgame lag as there is less calculations that the game must make so unfortunately I will not be adding this to my mod list.
Commander Ashfield 15 Apr, 2024 @ 1:53pm
Yeah same! Thanks for this, I found myself wondering why I didn't get many refugee notifications in my playthroughs while playing with a bunch of custom oppressive empires and myself a benevolent empire. Thanks again!
caverman2001 15 Apr, 2024 @ 11:10am
thank you!!
