I turned the scavenging raiders friendly by treating their wounded and releasing
now the scavanging raiders are allied
but still steal corpses
also half are stuck in a blob at the maps edge entrance and they throw exceptions

@Ionfrigate12345: I have created a PR for this (and also one for Faction War). My current playthough is in extreme desert and the mod did not handle some things in that unusual scenario well.

The tree logging raid ends up in a loop if a seeds mod is installed (specifically "Seeds Please Lite Redux" in my case). I had a raider come, cut down one of my fibercorn and that created both a piece of wood and a seed item. And the raider tried to carry them both away, but always dropped the wood when trying to pick up the seed, and ended up going back and forth.

Can you please make the mod handle that gracefully? E.g. add a check that all picked up items are the same item type?

I think it has something to do with "Frozen fox tweaks" settig for raiders never flee
kinda screws things up I think

Can now also identify Rimnauts 2 space maps as SOS2 ones.

But it might be possible if you play extreme biomes like extreme desert or sea ice, where there is no wood or animal to steal, raiders of this mod may leave immediately if they are spawned on these kinds of maps

@Narlindir Do you remember what kind of raiders leave immediately? Ive seen something similar but not sure if its from this mod. This mod adds only things like hostile NPC caravans, wood cutters, hunters or passagers etc. Regular raiders arent touched by this mod.

BREAKING UPDATE:

This continued version is now compatible with the new SOS2 (Save Our Ships 2) 1.5. All events will stop firing when the player is on SOS2 space map. No longer you will see NPC stealing wood in the space orbit.

But as the cost of achieving this, now Harmony is a hard requirement. If you haven't got it yet, please subscribe here

thankou so much. I think its likely a mod conflict on my end with the current one but for some reason its not in your one. I can't access the huglibs when the softlock happens as no hotkeys work when it does

@Ollie-Raven My version had some problems as well if you check the debug terminal. I consider them as harmless but I haven't checked out further. I myself am using the official version now, haven't seen any problem yet. But if you really need my abandoned continued version, I recreated the github in case.

Just use it for your own purpose while waiting for the official bugfix. I will not maintain this mod for now. For the respect of author, I dont fork a mod that is still alive.

Hi Ion, Just wondering if you still had your version of BPC on your github? Your one worked well for me but unfortunately the new update on the offical one has broken for me and softlocks if i use the assign tab with the mod enabled. I have reported this to the Mod owner as well. Just wondering if you still had your version somewhere as it worked really well

Owlchemist has been busy with RL. He is working on the updates. No ETAs have been given. Some modders wait a lil while after major updates are launched as there are often bugs within the base game.

Also you don't need to worry about a mod like Run & Gun with source code public on git, there are alot of others working on the update now, lots of them are more experienced than me on modding, they will sooner or later find a way to update it even the author lost sign of life

@ExterminaTor I've already taken a look at Run & Gun, it uses some very special way for coding, even Nugget is involved for package uograding, which is pretty rare for a Rimworld mod, it won't be as easy as you think to upgrade it. I still have other priorities, especially I focus on mods I use and easier to Upgrade. As you see I still have bugs to fix for updated Better Pawn Control, and more importantly, I have my family and RL just like everyone. So please stop spamming messages everywhere in my workshop pages. Run & Gun is not on my list for now.

If I am correct, Psychologically Invisible is used on the sight stealer. I assume it works somewhat similar to psychic invisibility, but I'm not certain. Basically, it's invisible until it is close to the enemy. As working similar to the original, I assume it has no effect on the psychically deaf.

Given the ludicrous size of this mod as compared to the original, I suspect you've left a lot of unnecessary cruft in the file. You may want to clean that up.
