Ask the creator of push to meow mod, since they probably know more
i think some of your critics are too heavy this is a fully functional region, not too hard despite the spawns (are they intentionally weaker variants here?) very pretty, good level design!
some suggestions:
- threat music is too loud, tone down the volume especially on the louder layers.
- the rooms to me look a little too much like outskirts and industrial complex just with a new color palette and some plants thrown on top. just make some more edits to them, mainly visually, to have more subtle differences. some more foreground stuff, lighting shenanigans like outer expanse and sky islands, and more of a mix of assets from all the vanilla regions should help a lot.
- the fact that this is a bio-engineering center provides some opportunities for really nice gameplay. ruins of unique testing environments (water, acid, heights, etc.), but more importantly some custom creatures. you could use some like drain mites, mini leviathan, scutigera, hoverfly, or noodle eater.
love it sm ngl
i haven't seen if you've made any other regions because if you haven't i think you really should because you have a very good eye for design!
