Glad you updated the mod; in-game menus suggest that this mod is up to date yet. Is that something the mod author needs to do?

perfect for mountain bases!

I have multiple venomatic cells in a room and it heats up to 190C no matter how many coolers placed there
Declan 17 Nov, 2024 @ 8:35am
Thank you for this one, My colonists are now frozen instead of overheating :steamhappy:

thank you.
thank you so much

According to all known laws of thermodynamics there is no way a cooler can exist. Its heatsinks are far too small to get the massive amounts of energy out of the region. The cooler, of course, cools anyways. Because modders don't care what scientists think is impossible.
Armagedon-100 18 Sep, 2024 @ 5:10am
will this mod delete my coolers in my save with the older original cooler mod?
大号杂鱼酱 11 Sep, 2024 @ 6:48am
That's great, but could you make an extra wall cooler to save even more space in the micro-base?
The Seraph of Tomorrow 4 Sep, 2024 @ 8:37pm
Does this add the heater from the original mod as well or no?
Onyx 9 Aug, 2024 @ 1:54pm
Cool (sorry) mod, but one issue
Sometimes it just glitches and just lowers the temperature to like -20 C, even if I put it at like 13C
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 5:10am
You quite possible need more than 1. I remember using the nuclear power plant from a mod and I needed a least 5-6 of the coolers in order to cool down the power plant.
Adonis 28 Jul, 2024 @ 3:11am
when it get to like 110c it stop working for me not minus 110c 110c hot (is that hot because i used thermal power reactor and it leaks to other rooms idk why and it can get to 1900c-2000c)
Waterkate 20 Jul, 2024 @ 8:49am
is there a setting that would limit it to the save effectiveness as the vanilla cooler (or heater, if that would make more sense for this mod)
Onyx 16 Jul, 2024 @ 6:49am
"Honey, I'm cold, can you lower the temperature?"
"Sure sweetheart, what temperature do you want?"
"Uhh, absolute zero is good!"
Pain 14 Jun, 2024 @ 8:39am
as low as -273 dam that is cold
Peers 12 Jun, 2024 @ 9:05pm
Ofc
Cyber 11 Jun, 2024 @ 10:26pm
archotech cooler :o

Does it come with a wall variant? Just to make it even more powerful :D
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 8 Jun, 2024 @ 10:20am
Oh come on now Mr.IknowEverything. This thing obeys the laws of thermo PERFECTLY.
What do you mean deletes? Did you think about heat teleportation? All it does is magica- ahem, it simply teleports heat elements, well, ummm, elsewhere? Space? I think. Anyways, that's it. :steammocking:
Sgtfireball 8 Jun, 2024 @ 10:07am
this thing disobeys the laws of thermodynamics. And i love it.

Cold is the absence of heat, a cooler removes the heat (energy) from the air and transports it elsewhere.

Energy is never lost, only transfered.

Heat transfers to something colder than itself.

So this theoretical device has to have an theoretical infinitely energetically empty substance or material that "deletes" energy instead of storing it and then dumping it elsewhere. if a person where to touch such a substance, the heat in their body would eventually vanish.

Take this with a grain of salt as this is just coming from basic classes in school. Not an expert.

Say hello to forcing pawns to die of hypothermia when they try to grab a frozen steak XD
Nihilus 20 May, 2024 @ 7:20pm
@GodlyAnnihilator
"Ummm, Quantum Technology?"

Apparently, the real answer seems to be lasers (through laser-cooling). Just as fun imo to say "ummm, lasers?"
Marchiel Graham 14 May, 2024 @ 4:15am
blud's scientist pawn defs saw the heater and says, "wonder if i could make this thing cooler" and then he took it WAY too literally lmfao
Rhavynn 9 May, 2024 @ 6:02am
Love this. Would you be able to make a version that's on the wall as well, like the wall heater? Workshop id 2298620806. Space savings is always lovely. Thanks for the mod!
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 5 May, 2024 @ 8:32am
I just went and made a devworld, build a 9x7 and put 2 doors and one cooler in. I was able to get easily up to -25. I don't really know what you are doing wrong.
You can always build one more in cases like that though.
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 5 May, 2024 @ 8:13am
You are probably doing something wrong.
I've been playing with this mod non-stop.
Never had issues. Maybe you have some window walls that let ambient temperature enter your room or something like that?
N0T 5 May, 2024 @ 8:07am
i cant get it to actually cool below freezing temps? i even have it set to -59c and its in a fairly small room?
JISU 2 May, 2024 @ 9:45pm
thanks!!
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 24 Apr, 2024 @ 9:33pm
Ummm, Quantum Technology?
Peers 24 Apr, 2024 @ 2:38pm
how tf does the cooler get stuff to absolute zero

THANKS

cool
Shamorin 17 Apr, 2024 @ 1:45am
@Suno concerning where the heat goes... it is turned into stone that is deposited in the wall or floor. E=mc² thus m=E/c² so only miniscule amounts of matter are indeed created, solving all your energy problems by simply rounding to the next integer of how much stone there actually is generated, as Rimworld doesn't correctly portray masses that small.
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 16 Apr, 2024 @ 8:28am
Most definitely. But always make a backup just in case. And if you are going to remove it mid game better destroy it before that.
SkullWhiskey 16 Apr, 2024 @ 7:56am
Safe to add mid game ?
LZIM 14 Apr, 2024 @ 7:45am
how long does it take to Meat Popsicle uninvited marauders though

@Suno where the original vanilla coolers should have vented, through the roof, except you know the game isnt built with z levels
GodlyAnnihilator  [author] 14 Apr, 2024 @ 7:06am
Shhhhhh.
It's, ummmm, Quantum Technology? Something like that. xD

Thanks though Suno! Have fun.
Suno 14 Apr, 2024 @ 7:01am
Think of the thermodynamics! Where does the heat go?

Good mod though. Thank you for returning it.
umecoalpaw 13 Apr, 2024 @ 10:41pm
I don't understand how this was never a thing before, or if it was it was a thing before I got the game.
handfullofdust 13 Apr, 2024 @ 4:58pm
Ah, Cooler. How you've grown. How we missed you. Welcome back.
Shadowwake 13 Apr, 2024 @ 4:27pm
I assume this works very similar to the base game Heater in terms of cost and effectiveness, but in the opposite direction?
