For those of you trying to use this mod anyways, it doesn't seem to work in 1.6.
Azure 11 Jul @ 4:20pm

I was a bit confused why I couldn't construct a repair bench and then I noticed you need to research it first. Doh!
FluffyXai 7 May @ 5:59am
Hmm, I changed the mod to the bottom of the load order and it seems to have worked? although the pawns seem to get slightly confused at first when placing things on the repair bench it worked eventually.
FluffyXai 6 May @ 1:13pm
I'm getting a problem where my pawns seem to extremely rapidly be cancelling and re-initiating the task and are just stuck frozen and unable to break the loop.
I have no idea what might be causing this. Anyone else had something similar that might help to narrow it down?

The pawns just don't move, constantly trying to point to the workbench saying "repairing [item]"
Though, from what I have seen with this game, it feels like they should be pointing to the item to go get it first?
Anyway the line is pointing to the workbench and just flickering like it's repeating dozens of times a second and they aren't moving
if it helps, the item being repaired are bionic prosthetics which might be from a mod

OK, I just found the solution, for others: Mod option/Repair Workbench/Resource: NONE (default was Repair_Kit).

Hello, I can't repair on Repair Workbench because of "Missing material". I have 30x Repair Kits, >200 steel, plasteel, cloth, components and of course damaged appareal (for example Flak Pants). How can I repair it, please? Which material can be missing? I don't have the original mod. Thank you.
Starina 12 Apr @ 6:33pm
Just what i needed, can use resources to repair equipment. Good mod :luv:
kokodorejr 13 Mar @ 5:35pm
if you're wondering why there's no repair workbench, you need to research it
Skeleton Man 3 Mar @ 11:33am
Nevermind. Figured it out. Repairkits had a huge stack making effectively only that stack available for jobs. Other pawns trying to find repair kits would search a massive area for extra kits. Reducing the stack size and the job's search area curbed it significantly.

I have a strange issue I can't track down with this mod. I notice several-second-long freezes whenever a pawn goes to repair an item (maybe having to do with a bunch of items?) I've checked with Dubs Performance analyzer and the work giver for repair is absolutely the one spiking to 1800ms. It also seems that pawns will only use one workbench at a time to repair, even though I have multiple available.

Thank you so much for saving this mod!

@Nic13#EZ
I'm sorry for neglecting to follow the comments and respond to everyone. It's been a hectic few months as I've been focused on job hunting, which is still ongoing.
At this time I'm not adding any new functions, unfortunately
Nic13#EZ 19 Nov, 2024 @ 8:26am
Hi! Is it possible to add a function to the mod to repair items worn by characters?
GwinnBleidd  [author] 7 Nov, 2024 @ 3:49pm
@anunimus I believe it's an existing bug from the original mod I updated
anunimus 1 Nov, 2024 @ 6:55am
Hi.
If I set 1 repair kit to 50% repair in the mod settings, then repairing an item with integrity above 50% will be free. Why doesn't he take 1 repair kit with him to use the workbench? Is this a bug or is it supposed to be like this?
Nar Uluthrek 24 Oct, 2024 @ 2:06pm
can you make it so there is an option to make the repair kits at the tailor or smithy i cant use machine table bc im doing a no electricity playthough. just wondering! ty!
GwinnBleidd  [author] 30 Aug, 2024 @ 7:38pm
@R Y U K E N machining table
ZenitiPlay 30 Aug, 2024 @ 3:14am
The repair kits is crafted from which workbench? I could find it.
GwinnBleidd  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 8:32am
Nice, works as expected I'd say lol.
Seriously though, I suppose when the mod was created wastepacks didn't exist, so they were not properly excluded
cyman.huangjing 28 Jul, 2024 @ 12:04am
ok, my story is, that they just repaired all the toxic wastepacks which i left far away from my base, and waited for them to rot off:steamhappy:
Babok3k3 13 Jul, 2024 @ 8:42am
I can't repair anything because my haulers keep removing repair kit on the repair table, repair guy put a kit on the table then hauler come and remove repair kit , repair guy put a kit on the table... and here we go endless loop.
It works when they are drafted but i have to do this everytime with my 15 pawns.
FrumiousBoojum 30 Jun, 2024 @ 6:38pm
For the armor, make sure you have enough repair kits. Each kit repairs 5 durability, and pawns won't start the job unless they have enough kits to complete it.
Sebster 16 Jun, 2024 @ 9:32am
I'm not able to repair books, anyone else have this problem?
Tsycopath 12 Jun, 2024 @ 2:30pm
Same as the guy below. Pawns wont repair marine armor.
TcT Goth98 7 Jun, 2024 @ 11:55pm
What section is it under? I can not find it anywhere.
Zerakren 27 May, 2024 @ 10:39am
im having issues with not being able to repair marine armor. both tainted and clean. the bills are set correctly but they just sit ignored. any ideas? could them being stored on a shelf be an issue? it hasnt been for other items
Elementaruss 12 May, 2024 @ 5:56am
Many thx for the update!
M-peror 10 May, 2024 @ 8:24am
thanks for the help
TorMechia 9 May, 2024 @ 3:45pm
I see :)
GwinnBleidd  [author] 9 May, 2024 @ 6:52am
@TorMechia it is intentional, in case there are some conditional patches in other mods
TorMechia 8 May, 2024 @ 6:03pm
The package ID of the original mod and your 1.5 update are identical. Is this intentional?
Thanks for the update btw :)
zgdebaba 6 May, 2024 @ 5:24am
Thank you!
Zarukh 3 May, 2024 @ 9:44am
Wheee! Thank you!
[User Deleted] 1 May, 2024 @ 11:03pm
@GwinnBleidd It turned out to be the repair kit in the mod settings! Thanks.
[User Deleted] 1 May, 2024 @ 10:53pm
@GwinnBleidd It could possibly be related to repair kits setting, I honestly didn't even notice there being an option. I do have an error log but not sure enough if has anything to do with it. https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/500a21aa3e44931c64542621b3b2ffbd
the link if you care to take a look. thank you.
GwinnBleidd  [author] 1 May, 2024 @ 7:06pm
@[User Deleted] Strange. I just checked and it works fine for me.
Check mod setting. Is it set to use repair kits or ingredients?
Also check error log plz.
[User Deleted] 1 May, 2024 @ 6:52pm
Doesn't work for me. Researched, built bench, set all apparel/weapons to be repaired forever. Had steel plate armor needing topped up, have 23k steel. Says not enough materials.
Winter_melon 1 May, 2024 @ 2:02am
"honey wake up, the Repair Workbench mod just got an update"
GwinnBleidd  [author] 30 Apr, 2024 @ 6:01pm
@Zarukh fixed, it should be fine now.
Btw, it seems that it was a preexisting bug, it wasn't related to 1.5
GwinnBleidd  [author] 29 Apr, 2024 @ 11:24am
@Zarukh yeah, that could be the case. I remember tunnelers were not able to use mountain miner (mod) until i pointed that out and fixed it. I'll check it out when I have some time, may be a similar patch is needed here
Zarukh 29 Apr, 2024 @ 11:00am
First of all, thanks a lot for the fork!
Secondly fabricors seem to have an issue with the workbench, just endlessly shuffling items around. Humans work normally with the bench tho.
Melon2 29 Apr, 2024 @ 7:59am
thank u !
NEPH 26 Apr, 2024 @ 9:50am
good work!
GwinnBleidd  [author] 26 Apr, 2024 @ 9:23am
@NEPH updated the research button position. at least, until it overlaps with something else
Rain 26 Apr, 2024 @ 8:05am
Blessed be
NEPH 26 Apr, 2024 @ 5:55am
Need a research button fix.
It's in the wrong place.
pumasky2 25 Apr, 2024 @ 5:01pm
Gwinn, thank you so much!
