Looking to add this to my existing b42 save 🙂
I don't use that mod but subscribers have reported that it does work with my stuff.
You have some mod conflict if that happens. The Glock is fine.
But I have no "upgrate" option.
How can I attach Suppressors?
Read the description for goodness' sake.
No firearm mod is compatible with another, unless they're specifically made to be.
Awesome, thanks! :D
Yeah I think this coming weekend I'll revert back to B41 so I can update this version with all the stuff I've got going on in the B42 version.
New additions will include: The SPAS-12, IMI Galil (with 50-round extended mags), and a bunch of little QOL helpers :)
I'm still sticking to b41, so i wonder will there be any updates and/or additions on b41 version or are you switching over to b42?
And thanks again for a cool mod!
Pew Science silencer sound standard did all that research wither or not I can find sound files of audio-tested attacheable varied on what sound format you want. and If I get free time I can assist with that
Could you link me an audio-tested attacheable suppressor/silencer that actually gets the weapon's rifle report below 100 decibels? Because I haven't heard of one.
This video is a pretty good show-and-tell when it comes to suppressors that people can get: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51cSzfn-WCo
Socom silencers, suppressor do exist in the real world. However they don't exist in the game world as vanilla
I hope that what you meant.
However the game doesn't support subsonic ammo (that i'm aware off)
I do test guns in the real world on my spare time. sadly the HK36 cant be acquired for civilian use in USA and those guns are gas operated with a feed locking system.
you can also look at GemTech to get an idea that silence is golden.
Suppressors semi reduce decibels while silencers fully reduce decibels. But overall you can silent the Whoosh noise of bullet travel.
Use what you like it won't bother me as long it works as intended (I haven't found either one yet)
It does come down to semantics but you need to know that in the real world, the best suppressors in the market today still end up with guns whose sonic booms are still so loud that if you don't wear ear protection you will risk damaging your hearing.
For example a .45 caliber handgun with the best suppressor on the market still produces around 140 decibels. That's equivalent to standing in the front row of a Metallica concert without ear plugs.
You'd need to use both a suppressor and subsonic ammunition to get lower decibel levels with suppressors, and even then the rifle report can be over the limit of what's known as "painful".
Movie and video game silencers simply do not exist in the real world.
suppressors and silencers are basically the same thing in terminology.
However Suppressors are used for gas operated based guns to reduce recoil and increase accuracy more then sound can reduce sound of the gas noises.
Silencer complete reduce the sound and you only hear the whoosh sound when the bullet travel thou the air.
I hope this helps other people. I have no idea how the game is coded for that.
I won't abandon this mod since it can still be used in multiplayer. :)
I do admit however that I am very much concentrated on modding B42 unstable currently. I'll add the new guns to this version too at some point. It's going to be tricky though, because I can't exactly bug test them since my game version is the unstable.
Remember that any mod that changes any stat of any firearm will cause a conflict, such as gun durability, gun loudness, etc.
Then you must be using another gun/gun attachment mod which the description clearly tells you not to do.
That's because suppressors aren't silencers. Suppressors reduce but do not eliminate the sound radius of guns.
You can browse to lua/client/RFNGP_ClientSide.lua and see how it works.
I suppose I could but meh, it would be a pretty empty new entire mod. You of course could do that for your single player saves either by:
A) Delete everything other than the pack & pouches from the mod folder.
or
B) Make a new mod folder and only copy the pack & pouches data, models & textures to it.
i really love the pouches, and i was wondering if you could make a standalone workshop item with just the buttpack and pouches? doing a playthrough with vanilla weapons only (love the mod by the way, used it in a couple of runs)!
