Ok but why is pyros hat look like a pride flag, it’s probably pyroland but it would have been more recognizable if it wasn’t a rainbow, and more of maybe the texture on pyros purse. A simple pink with a white flower in the middle would do better than making everyone think pyro is gay.

The concept is great, but it makes no sense for the heavy to have the Soviet Union flag. In the comics the heavy's father was a counterrevolutionary against the Soviet Union. That's why he and his family had to flee to Siberia and hide. A Russian flag would make more sense lore-wise.

Heavy has a decent share of communism themed items. Ushanka with star, Pilotka with star, hammer and sickle, Artillery Cap with star, Bolshevik Biker (name), Comissar's Coat. And there's a bunch more that hint at him being a communist or even having a somewhat high rank in the Red Army (officer, and you'd need to be in the party for that). Because guess what, being pursued by KGB doesn't mean that he's not a communist. You'd be surprised how many real life communists were pursued by KGB. The reason for him to not display the Soviet flag is that it's 70s, for obvious reasons lmao.
That's why I think pins instead of flags would fit better. Star pin for Heavy, state pins for US boys, etc.

Also, this cosmetic will not get in precisely because of the rainbow flag. Eric Smith is not an idiot. He understands that it will bring controversy, and Valve doesn't need that.

Perhaps still not as many people that can't or won't distinguish a Rainbow and/or a Contextually-Relevant Reference from an actual Pride Flag, regardless of what that flag means to them or if they even know what "Sweet Baby, Inc." is, let-alone why anyone would want to "detect" them.

As much as I am compelled to repeat the previous suggestion for alternate styles (My own being a No Flag or "For Hire" style, a "For A Living" style replacing the flags with the TF, RED & BLU or Class logos, with the existing flags remaining as a "For Duty"/"For Country" style) just for the sake of relevancy, I do wonder if the authors have been amused enough in how worked up a hammer, a sickle, a few stars & a few stripes of varying colours can get people to just not bother & see if Valve will accept this item (Along with the accompanying 'Fighter's Fatigues') as it is.
