Apologies for the confusion.
- Fixed 1-pixel transparency issue on the Elven Duelist's new portrait.
Thank you for your feedback.
- Created a completely new set of default portraits that better match the existing character artworks.
- Implemented new Mod Options to allow you to use the old ones if you want to, both dimmed and bright versions.
- Fixed code that determines a duelist's species.
- Reduced saturation of all portraits for the Duelist.
- Implemented "Bright Portraits" mod option to revert to original high-saturation portraits.
- Reduced menace of challenging someone to a duel to 0. This will prevent the target, or other heroes based at the same location, from spontaneously disliking you for it.
I do not have the financial liberty to be spending hundreds of pounds on artwork for every small hobby project, that I give away for free.
In addition to money, I also don't have the time to be finding and going back and forth with a commissioned artist. This project was put together in about 4 days, for a two-week deadline, which overlapped with my working on a major Community Library update, aimed at fixing issues in the vanilla game.
If I wasn't using AI, I would be finding whatever creative commons images were available, which is very challenging, and I wanted them at least somewhat matching between races.
It's possible to create, with difficulty, a huge variety of art styles using AI tools. The hardest thing with SoFGs is that the art style it uses doesn't really have an actual name, and therefore is difficult to reproduce.
If others agree with this, I have put out a query among my fellow modders on the discord, I'll try and find or make a new batch that better matches.
