If it replaces the default texture( which it should) then it will already work, if it doesn't, that's on him imo.

I suppose if beam can`t be done, alternative could be star dragon fire breath, but with carmine dragon melee attack shyish fire textures, kind of violet smoke.

Still trying. Attempting to remake the animations as that seems to be the issue, it want's rider interaction or something I think, if that doesn't work I'll remake the breath attack but I messed with it a lot already and probably won't be able to use the beam vfx as they've locked it down and I can't access most of it.

@dino Yeah there are two animations one is a "casting" animation that it does before the actual breathing animation. I'll look into the toad animations since it has a non-mount version. There's 100% hard coded stuff I don't have access to that make it and other things impossible.

I hope there is a way to fix breath attack of carmine dragons. Unlike what was shown in trailers, their breath is usual, actvated only during flight. However, it have at least 2 stages: preparation during countdown to 1, waiting a few secodns after that with somoke and jaw jitte rnaimation, and only then breath itself. Toad dragons have the same 2-staged breath attack. Both attcks are rather beams, than fireball blob like all other dragons have. I`m not sure if it helps, just observed commonly in-game. Maybe some dlc scripts are required for that type of breath attacks.

I can do both, wizard mount will be a separate mod though and I probably won't remove the breath attack if that's what mean as that's a lot of extra steps.

Would you consider adding them as a generic mount to Amethyst wizards, or maybe make it that the unit carry a Amethyst wizard into battle with no spells, only to carry out the riders animation. (I don't know how to mod so if this is stupid please ignore)

Would you consider updating their description to the one that of the Carmine mount, Considered Spectres of death in many ancient tales, Carmine Dragons are sinister, clever, and deadly. To some races, their appearance is a omen that presages disaster

Checked with dlc, too. Indeed, sometimes dragons use bretah attack, but sometimes they begin breath, some circle of purple fire appear, after that stuck exactly 1 second before breath (spell preparing time 1 sec left). About submod: maybe option for mod configuration tool instead? So, people could switch if Imrik have them or not.

I have been testing it. Vanilla fires every time. Yours fire if targeting the side of flying units, and ground is pretty reliable. Each time the animation STARTS, but then for whatever reason the dragon blueballs and never shoots

If you plan to add it to Imrik, could that be a sepperate submod? The Empire having a unique dragon all its own is the coolest part of this mod!

@Modern Spartan Can you test vanilla mount? I have no idea if it's a CA issue or something I did. I spent 2 hours trying to fix it and only once did I ever get the breath attack to work.

Amazing, big thanks! I too don`t have dlc yet, but will test mount version as soon as I get :) About breath attack, maybe works on land (there is short video on total war youtube channel), that can be reason of strange animation.
