@reel i narrowed it down to the vanilla expanded books mod. When placing the bookshelf in a research room it changes the room role and negatively affects research speed. removing it stops this behavior so it must be that mod. Must be something related to the 1.6 change

Am I missing something or what? It was possible to build it before crate stack and now it's not possible? They were removed from the mod?

Home refrigeration hit the world in the 1920s and ice machines were invented in the mid 17th century but it's your mod at the end of the day to do whatever you want! I think all of the storage in this mod is "OP" if we are talking about "in the context of vanilla RimWorld" and I've used your mod almost since the first day it hit the workshop, long before you added a refrigerator.

I honestly think that industrial fridges are overpowered in the context of RimWorld and think they should be Spacer locked.

Hey Reel, it's not about the storage size for me but the ability to partition small amounts of food into 1x1 storage. If I use a 2x2 storage for Raw Meat and Raw Veg there is a very high chance the fridge will reach max capacity with just one or the other ingredient, which is no good if I am trying to make lavish meals right in the kitchen. That's the utility of 1X1 fridge to my mind. I will stop bugging you about this now, just wanted you to see my perspective. It's really not the end of the world, I can always just build bigger kitchens! Wall fridges would be great.. they always felt kind of OP to me but then I have to remind myself every grocery store in the developed world has wall fridges so they aren't that far fetched lol.

The 2x1 Fridge has the same stats as it would if you had two 1x1 Fridges.
I have plans for wall fridges, probably through a 1x1 variant in the future, expect it in Part 2 of Version 1.0.5

When players have progressed far enough into their savefiles, I will remove the original storage defs.

Thanks for the quick reply Reel. So no shot we can get both the 1x1 and 2x2 fridge option in 1.6? Perhaps a standalone mod even? I was really happy to drop RimFridge when you added in the 1x1 Fridge previously for 1.5 but now I feel like it's going to be necessary again. Not the end of the world but I find the 1x1 essential for myself at this point.

Previously I'd have a dedicated storage for raw meat, raw psychoids, and raw veg next to the kitchen table. Sometimes a 4th fridge for eggs/milk. Using 2x2 for this dramatically increases the size requirement of my kitchen.

just figured i'd pop in and say the spacer container has some very unintended impact from moving the ship in Odyssey, if you land not facing the same direction you built in in, the container will shuffle onto other tiles, destroying walls and in the case it clips itself will spill its contents all over the floor and if those contents end up under the ship when you land they are crushed (deleted)

1x1 Fridge (and other storage structures) was replaced with the 2x1 Fridge, I kept the def in so that it wouldn't break people's savefiles.

My mod doesn't change anything related to Bookcase structures, unless you're talking about Bookshelves. Will look into it.

hello reel i just made a lab by placing my research building down but noticed as soon as i placed a bookcase storage down it changed the room role into a library, negating the laboratory research buff and applying a malus. Is this a change on your end given 1.6's patch change? The bookshelves are from this mod, but i think the room role might be from VFE books mod

Hello!, I'd like to report an issue with some storage buildings not appearing in the Architect tabs, even though I’ve already researched them. However, they do show up when using God Mode. Not sure if it’s a bug or something missing in the build menu. Thanks!

1.6 with Odyssey... 1X1 FRIDGE doesn't appear in the storage list. It's still available with traders. Not sure what the intended functionality is here, I would actually prefer the smaller 1X1 for setting up raw kitchen storage to be honest. The 2X2 is nice for meals and drugs.

Am i correct in seeing that there is no "double shelf" anymore? You can see it in the description of the mod but i cant find it ingame. There is the food shelf but no shelf for (almost) everything.

I don't really like the idea of being able to store items in the items added by the Vanilla Expanded series. Is there an option to prevent this? If not, would it be simple to edit out?

Also, figured I'll ask - what's the potential for a single, 1x1 chemfuel barrel? I'd argue with the gravship's need for the stuff, there may be design space available without bloat. Thanks!

For some reason I can only build a 1 tile 6 stack size fridge, not the 2 tile wide 12 stack size that is shown in the mod description.
What could be the issue?
I could not find the 2x2 weapon rack either, I only the the neolithic version.
There is no error in the log related to the mod. Not even a yellow one.

Rimworld's layering isn't advanced enough to not get clipping. Items are layered above buildings at all positions, textures placed above items can't simultaneously also be below other buildings with current technology

I believe that the error could be that you try to create a Def targeting the Illuminatedwardrobe inside the VEFurniture folder. That is a different mod.

@Reel it feels kinda off, considering it can be used as a storage for everyday clothing and not just armors. The star I get on the weapon racks, But for the storage locker, it just feels off.

Hello. It might be something wrong with the VFESpacer patch. It throws this error if not loaded:
