@Raythe - Definitely a bug, I'll have a look this weekend.
Raythe 4 Jun @ 5:24pm
I have a problem:

I talk to the priest in Blister Hill, then run down to the Holy Nation Farm directly south, talk to a female Citizen, we walk back towards Blister Hill, a few minutes later she complains that it's taking too long to get married, halfway there I see a yellow notification at the bottom that says, "Contract with Holy Nation has ended", she follows me to the priest, he does the ceremony, I get the certificate, she doesn't join the squad, constantly switching between "Aimless" and "Going to bed", door to the Temple constantly opening and closing.

I can't marry again because that is polygamy, which is illegal in the HN.

:/

>walk into home
>"I have chosen you to become my wife"
>refuse to elaborate
>walk to priest
>get married
>get hacked to death one step outside of city limits
>get bones fed to dogs
>equipment sold to outlaws
Just as Okran intended.

Holy Courtship got it... I'm dumb.
Sanchita 31 Jul, 2024 @ 6:22pm
Keep reading it over and over and I'm not seeing a link. Tried searching Grave and whatnot.
Sanchita 31 Jul, 2024 @ 6:21pm
What am I missing? How do I find grave's female version?
DaMagicBoy  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 5:28am
@Mythril - This mod is basically a recruitment mod with extra steps, I'm pretty sure Las Dunas is functionally different. Also yes, technically you could only get married once.
Mythril 4 Jul, 2024 @ 10:01am
How does the exclusivity work? Will the marriage only be available once per playthrough? I also have the marriage mod from las dunas, will it have any conflict with that? lol

@Elmano - A bit barebone at the moment, but yes, they do.
Elmano 24 Jun, 2024 @ 6:09pm
the wife have any custom dialogue?
Rand0mR0b 21 May, 2024 @ 7:49am
Yep Just tested it out and it is working even resubscribed to the Female version as well . Thanks for the speedy update .
DaMagicBoy  [author] 21 May, 2024 @ 4:47am
Also, the female version made by Grave shouldn't conflict with my mod at all.
DaMagicBoy  [author] 21 May, 2024 @ 4:39am
Updated, should be working as intended now. Let me know how it goes.
Cheers!

Rand0mR0b - Seems like I messed up the trigger when I tried to fix some exploit. I'll have a look when I got the time.

the Mod seems not to work no matter what I try. I talk to the priest- Get the ring ( Bride), and then talk to a Female Holy Citizen, and get the second ring (Groom ). But that's where the Mod stops to work, cause I then go back to the priest and no option is there to talk to him. I did have the female version and unsubscribed from the Mod, but the issue still remains. I talked to all three priest in each Holy Nation City and once I get the Grooms ring, I can't talk to them again to officiate the marriage.

Yes, exactly. I've got two couples in my squad, one that wants to be married in the eyes of Okran and one that wants to be married in the eyes of the UC nobility. I've got Don Fuego's mod that adds a town like Vegas complete with the drive thru wedding chapel, but both my couples want something more dignified than that.
DaMagicBoy  [author] 13 May, 2024 @ 10:35pm
@Pode - I've just re-read your first comment and I just realized what you meant. Basically, you wanted 2 characters who's already in your squad to get married, am I correct in that regards? Because it's much easier to implement. Might made it as a separate mod regardless to allow you to get married in places other than HN.
DaMagicBoy  [author] 6 May, 2024 @ 6:53pm
Y'all have amazing ideas. But right now, I'm working on another mod. I'll put all these ideas into my notepad, and hopefully I could realize it someday.
Cheers!

The shek kingdom version would be fun. The "priest" would make you both deposit your weapons and armor with him, then lock you two in a private room so no guards could intervene. If you carry your spouse out unconscious, you're married, if not you get your stuff back, lose some relation with the kingdom, and have to build it back up to try again.
Yamu Riamu 5 May, 2024 @ 7:43am
if you want to have marriages for the other races/factions you could add a pair of like bored bureaucratic clerks to the uc/traders guild faction hqs who just ask for cats and check that your relations arent negative with their respective factions, maybe charge more as a bribe if they are, shek kingdom maybe like a duel initiator in admag or something im not sure how youd make that work without guards intervening though, could allow gay marriage there too they both seem like theyd be more inclusive in that regard even if only begrudgingly. hivers dont seem like theyd really have a need for or understanding of marriage as a hive mind, exiled ones could be fine with it though

Picking at your side side note a bit, cuz the idea sounds like too much fun to give up on. Could you open it up to any human woman (solves the where problem for you, and still opens it up to kids and other modded human races), with the priest doing a disguise check to see if he believes her to be HN?
Sunbolt 3 May, 2024 @ 12:47pm
I have had several full Shek squads follow my Holy Chosen with a 100% rep with the Holy nation, it is funny to see several citizens speak ill of the Shek get close and then say I'm sorry holy one I had no idea it was you! Please accept this gift and give them a chew stick or bread, with enough influence most of the military and priest branches will accept them, but citizens are hit and miss until they overstep their place, however skeletons are always KoS. Nothing can be done for them.
DaMagicBoy  [author] 3 May, 2024 @ 9:38am
Another side, side note, I might make a separate mod or patch that allows you to marry anyone you came across. The problem would be how and where the wedding take place since you can't marry a Shek or Hivers on a holy soil.
DaMagicBoy  [author] 3 May, 2024 @ 9:31am
@Pode - Love your imagination! Currently it only supports Holy Citizen, that means every Holy Nation population who's not a soldier, high-ranking officials, merchant, or slaves (HN outlaws also doesn't count), since the dialogue that allows female NPCs to follow you and get married (A.K.A. recruited) is tied to "Holy Nation Citizen" dialogue package.

In short, if she's not from Holy Nation, and not a civilian, It's not possible. Otherwise, it's possible as long as she's not recruited beforehand.

On a side note, it allows you to comically marries a farmer's wife.

Cheers!

Does she have to be a Holy Citizen or can it be whichever woman you bring before the priest? Cuz I have a really fun idea now for my current run (using Child mod and more gain relationship for healing mod). Stepdaughter's boyfriend will now be sneaking around trying to find injured HN to heal up without the grownups noticing, hoping that he can build relations up faster than we can sink them, and when he's done enough the kids will sneak away to get married rather than waiting till they're older like Mom and Dad want. But that all hinges on being able to bring *her* rather than a random HN woman. Maybe I have to put her in a HN disguise for the priest to perform the ceremony?
