Just want to say thank you for taking care of that mod and making sure it remains alive <3

Appreciate you keeping up with this, I know it must be a headache at times.

@Samuel_Bucher
Would you still be able to put the following into the "Known Issues" section, since a couple people, myself included, have had it?:
May cause issues where for animals, no operations tab opens up when you click "Add bill" in the Health tab. The incompatibility causing this is unknown, so please leave possible incompatible mods in the comments if you figure out what's causing it.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 11 Jul @ 10:38am
Of course, I just need to assess all the new animals first. I'll do it on the weekend.
Fuyu 11 Jul @ 10:35am
Any chance on 1.6? :3
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 6 Jul @ 2:32pm
@Heavy & Ze Medic
This mod is an XML only. It cannot remove a UI element like that. But don't let this stop you from looking for the source. I'm curious about what could be causing this issue for you.
Heavy & Ze Medic 6 Jul @ 2:19pm
@Samuel_Bucher
Would you be able to add to the description that this mod may cause this issue? (Since as we know, there's a demographic of people who don't read comments and just type.) If I ever do find out what mod is conflicting, I'll follow-up.
Heavy & Ze Medic 6 Jul @ 2:17pm
I know this was mentioned a while back, but this mod is causing the issue where for animals, no operations tab opens up when I click "Add bill" in the Health tab, but it works again when I remove this mod.

It's very strange, since I never had the issue with the original ADS. It might be some mod conflicting with this one but I have no clue what one it would be.

So I'm just leaving this here in case anyone else is having the same issue and is searching through their mods to find the culprit. It just might be this one, so give it a try.
Gidwelion 27 Jun @ 9:05am
Is there any chance you will add something like a dedicated prosthetic crafting bench ?
The machining table is kinda suffering from being an omnipotent crafting spot for everything.

Or could you add an mod option that when EPOE is installed, all the recipes migrate to one of their benches ?
Gniwu 26 Jun @ 6:41am
I only just realized that this mod doesn't cover the critters available via Save our Ship. Cosmopillars and Stellapedes are adorable, but just as short-lived as planetbound bugs! You're doing great work here, though, let that be said. :)
Fantasy System 25 Jun @ 4:39am
Thanks for the quick reply, always loved a dog said for its potential for long term colonies.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 25 Jun @ 4:05am
@Fantasy System
I'm still in the process of checking my mods. I'll get to this one later, but most likely before Odyssey is out.
Fantasy System 25 Jun @ 3:50am
Hows 1.6? Is it compatible out of the box or do I need to wait?
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 14 Jun @ 12:11am
@Flying Witch
The description says that you can disable categories if you have XML Extentions. If you don't want that mod, you can also do it manually by editting the XML files manually.
Flying Witch 13 Jun @ 5:28pm
Is there a version for download without category restrictions? IIRC, there used to be a version of the old mod that let you make bionic rats.
DimasW 7 Jun @ 7:35am
It seems like the compatibility patch for Dragon's Descent doesn't work anymore. None of the bionics appear on the surgery list.
iampoorandhomeless 3 Jun @ 1:25pm
Not sure if anyone is checking the comment sections here, but if you are having trouble installing bionics to animals its probably because you are using animal sleeping spot, animal sleeping spots only gives you a 70% of surgery success chance factor along with being outside and cleanness of the surrounding. Try using animal beds, set them to medical and put them in your hospital. This should make installing bionics much easier.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 14 May @ 1:35am
@Sunny
This can't be due to this mod. I'm not changing how surgeries work at all. I'm just adding more prosthetics and making animals capable of recieving them. Look for the cause in mods in your modlist that mess with surgeries themselves.
Sunny 14 May @ 12:50am
im having exactly the same issue as @Snow Blood Wolf. i try to operate on any animal anywhere to install a prosthetic and it seems to always fail, i havent had a single success with a level 16 medic and 18 handle. i am operating on huskys
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 7 May @ 12:54pm
@Nevermore
There is already compatibility for both versions of More Thrumbos. As for Royal Thrumbos, I'll consider it.
Nevermore 7 May @ 12:23pm
would you consider adding the thrumbos from the "more thrumbos" and "royal thrumbos" mod?
eri 4 May @ 9:31pm
@Samuel_Butcher I've uploaded two different versions I tried based on some of the different compat files on github at /nblibrius/grimstone-patch
I've never used github before so hopefully this works for you!
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 3 May @ 12:04am
@eri
I can't know that without looking at your patch.
eri 2 May @ 7:06pm
I'm trying to make a patch for Grimstone: Beasts but I can't seem to get it to work. The formatting matches the other examples already in the mod, and GB loads before ADS, any idea of anything I could be overlooking? Or is GB somehow incompatible?
Snow Blood Wolf 27 Apr @ 3:05pm
@Samuel_Bucher At first it was in the owner bedroom wich was clean, then i tried to change it to the hospital wich is sterile, have seen no changes :/
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 27 Apr @ 1:15pm
@Snow Blood Wolf
Are you operating in the hospital or in the stable? Room clenliness matters for surgery outcome. Otherwise, I have no idea. I did not mess with surgery mechanics beyond making more surgeries available for animals.
Snow Blood Wolf 27 Apr @ 1:11pm
Hi, i'm having trouble with the mod, i have absolutly no issue operating on humans, but it's been about 15 operation on a wolf and only 3 have been succesful even tough my medic is level 16
meowingpiggy 22 Apr @ 5:17am
Hi! Would it be possible to make an option to make the parts on smithy or crafting spot too? Playing on medieval world with medieval prosthetics, would love to give my cats their tails back :) I could move the research to medieval, but too much of a dummy to move it from machining table
Sun-Soaked 9 Apr @ 4:25pm
The Dragon's Descent patch doesn't seem to be working. I can't really tell why, as far as I can tell the defs for dragons are still the same
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 30 Mar @ 5:06am
@Just_Another_Player
I don't play with that mod, so I wouldn't know how to approach it, nor would I care to find out.
Just_Another_Player 29 Mar @ 4:18pm
Hello Sam, I was wondering if this mod will be compatible with [FSF] Advanced bionics Expansion in the future. thanks for your time.
GigglesBirch 19 Mar @ 10:20pm
@Samuel_Bucher
Thank you so much!
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 19 Mar @ 8:13am
@GigglesBirch
Should be compatible with Kenshi Fauna now.
GigglesBirch 16 Mar @ 10:53pm
@Samuel_Bucher
Thank u for looking into it. You've probably heard it before, but I appreciate your efforts and the efforts of all these wonderful mod creators.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 16 Mar @ 1:15am
@GigglesBirch
I have not made any compatibility patches for it, nor does it look like that mod's author did that either. I'll look into it, but I hope none of the Kenshi animals use non-vanilla body parts.
GigglesBirch 16 Mar @ 12:20am
Hi Samuel. I'm not sure if you've answered this before, but I was wondering if Kenshi Fauna is compatible with this. One of my colonies had a bone dog that got his jaw shattered by a raider. I couldn't fit a hydraulic jaw on the poor thing.
Foresage 13 Mar @ 12:51pm
@Samuel_Bucher
Oof my mistake on the Biotech -> Anomaly. I totally knew that and just slipped in the wrong name.
Interesting fact on the mod trick!
You're a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you so much for the compatibility patch and the mod in general! <3
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 12 Mar @ 8:14am
@Foresage
Chimeras are added by Anomaly, not Biotech. And the chimeras from the Chimera Creation mod are actually different creatures from the vanilla ones. A cheeky trick by that mod's developer. With this said, the compatibility patch is now up. Enjoy.
Foresage 11 Mar @ 4:46pm
Hi there. I was wondering if this mod will operate on the "Chimera" from biotech? I was looking at using the "Chimera Creation" mod which allows you to create/tame the biotech chimeras and wasn't sure where that would fall under your compatibility rules.

My apologies if this is a question you've already answered. I did my best to search for an answer prior to posting but couldn't find anything.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 8 Mar @ 10:52pm
@Mazz
1) This mod isn't universal. Every modded animal needs its own compatibility patch.
2) There is no longer an animal bionics table.
Mazz 8 Mar @ 3:41pm
The bionics can't be attached to animals from other mods, like the Border Collie dog mod or the Muffalo mod—the bionic eye option doesn't appear for them. However, it does show up for the fox, which isn't from a mod. When I switched to this mod from the old version, the bionic animal table disappeared, and I can't build a new one. The research menu says I've already researched the first animal prosthetics, so I'm not sure how to build the table now.
Sabotaged 20 Feb @ 11:09pm
Correct
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 20 Feb @ 9:37pm
@Sabotaged
And you also can't do any animal surgeries this mod adds, right?
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 20 Feb @ 3:04am
@Pvtgingeface
I can't provide a solution until I can figure out how to reproduce this issue. Having more than one sample the log could help with that.
Pvtgingeface 19 Feb @ 3:29pm
lol a lot of good a hugslib log does

provide us a solution :steamthumbsup:
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 19 Feb @ 12:17am
@cerhio
I fail to see how I am being rude. I'm not calling anyone names and I apologise when I can't help. At worst, maybe I get a little snarky when someone asks about something already stated in the mod's description. But nevertheless, I would like to apologise.
Apologise that you have such thin skin, that is. I am perfectly content with my manner of communication, and I have zero intention of changing. Espetially since the only person to ever call me out was someone I wasn't even talking to, getting offended on other people's behalf. If you don't wish to be helped, then be my guest. Saves me some time. Otherwise, post the HugsLib log. This issue is genuenly perplexing to me and I want it solved.
cerhio 18 Feb @ 11:45pm
I have the same problem as the last few folks who said they can't install any implants. In fact, this mod has never worked since I first installed it in August 2024.

I was going to ask for help but the mod maker is nasty and condescending to anyone who asks questions.
Samuel_Bucher  [author] 18 Feb @ 1:56pm
@Pvtgingeface
I'm sorry, but there doesn't seem to be anything I can do for you. This seems to be a case of "works on my machine".
Pvtgingeface 18 Feb @ 1:18pm
Thank you for your help!!
As far as mod order, I used the "auto sort" option in rimworld and my game seems to be running properly.
Also i definitely meant hooves, went with a more general reply by saying feet, I should have been specific so that's my apologies.
