@electronicT @Mountaineer9661 This is a very common issue with simple sidearms. You need to remove the weapon as default/preferred as pawns will always try to pick up and use their default weapon if available. This causes the bug where pawns are stuck taking and storing weapons from a container. SS causes alot of issues and I personally use Switch Sidearms CE instead.

That's probably what's causing it - the bayonet, suppressor, etc. versions of the weapons in this are an entirely different WeaponDef. The attachments button simply converts it from one weapon to another (the same code could turn a Zeushammer into a Short Bow.) Simple Sidearms may not like that, but I've never used the mod before.

That might not be 100% correct but its what I've experienced through a number of saves and colonies, it can be a pain but the gunsgalore guns are well worth it, just make sure to have them take off their bayonet, GL or whatever you had them attach before you undraft them, that should work, if that is the issue.

@mountaineer9661 Have you assigned the pawns a loadout? if you have and that particular weapon isn't on it they'll drop it immediately, and simple sidearms makes them pick it back up, also if they are fine with a normal one, if you have them attach a bayonet or grenade launcher it'll technically be a different weapon so they'll drop it again

I've ran into an issue that when I try to equip weapons from this pack, my pawns repeatedly pick the weapon up and put it back down and ultimately won't equip it. I don't think it's an issue with the mod, because there isn't an issue on new saves. I don't know how to fix it thought. It wasn't an issue with previous weapons until I tried to use the Great War ones.

Italian WWI weapons will be in a pack called "Great War - Third Party" and their interwar/WWII weapons will be in a pack called "WWII - European Axis" (which is one of the next packs.)

Japan will come in two parts - a pack called "Pacific War" which will be WWI & WWII weapons for Japan, China, etc, and a modern day pack that includes everything from the Cold War to the present.

Cobray Terminator will likely be in that pack too. FP-45 Liberator is coming in WWII - USA, which is one that's on the "sooner rather than later" list of to-dos.

Great weapons in this pack. I would love to see the Lifecard Folding Pistol, Taurus Curve and Altor Pistol in a future pack. I need some cheap and terrible guns for my non-combatants like the Zip .22 which I can see you are working on.

I just wanna say that I reallyy love all the spectacular guns mods that you created so much. It's such an experience!

I humbly request for you to make some Last Ditch guns from WW2 (or WW1 if any) from any factions. For example, VK98 and VG (1-5) rifles from Germans and some other Japanese guns as well.

And from there, perhaps these last ditch weapons can be traded at a lower market values for their lower costs in making them.

It would be much much appreciated if you would make it! :))

the guns should be divided by country since after a while the page becomes unreadable like if possible jimmy i think you shoud make a bench for each country like all the american guns are on one and the german are in one or divided by mod (this is just an idea)

It’d be pretty easy to make one yourself. Each weapon and turret has its own XML file using their exact name. All you’d have to do is download a local copy and delete all the weapons you don’t want.

Never thought i'd say this but the amount of weapons here is much is too much.

I would love a lightwight version with just one of each of the weapons and not all the gazillion different variants.

It's a chore just to even browse the list with due to UI scaling of the all the craftable weapons

It's from German patent DE319034C (filed Oct 1918, granted in 1920) for a "sliding barrel" machine gun by Max Müller Metallwerk. The artwork for it was based off of an incomplete schematic drawing in the patent, so the design is somewhat conjectured. As far as I know, there's no documentation or photographs or surviving model(s) of the weapon, and the only evidence that it existed was in the patent.

It was found by my friend Coutin, who does historical firearms research and digs through archives of patents to find unique firearms that have otherwise been lost to history.

And I consider myself a turbo-nerd for these sorts of antiques. On that note, where did you find the Max Muller gun?

It should be possible to use it in 1.4 by just changing the supported version number, however.
