Works fine playing as Karl. But on Markus or Gelt, the techs are all jumbled up.

@skoobeldoobel yeah i created a new franz campaign and the tech tree isn't their i don't have any mods installed either so its first in load order

@goofy ahh gooby I actually have no idea. Can't really think of any reason why it shouldn't work, though. The mod is technically just a tech tree that gives you unit buffs and a couple of ancillaries. There might be some checks put in place by CA to prevent you from gaining those ancillaries without the dlc, maybe?

I would be interested to hear if it works, if you decide to test it

Glad to hear it. I just confederated her as Franz so it would make sense for her to share the knowledge, especially that archaon declared war on kislev and empire 😀

@Hastiel You should be able to, yes. Though I wouldn't do it if playing as Elspeth (though there's no real reason to do that to begin with)

@Salix You do get the Enhanced Scope ancillary (at least you should), but the UI just doesn't function correctly for reasons that are beyond me lol

Is it intentional that (at least according to the tooltip) the "Engineering Workshops" tech doesn't give one of the ancillaries for that unique item set, whilst "Gunnery Training Grounds", "Laboratorium Magi", and "Academy of Excellence" do?

Seems broken since 6.0? All the techs are out of place and display the wrong tooltips.

did a franz campaign and the tech tree works really well. honestly i prefer it to elspeth's gunnery school

I think that the Technology panel solution is a work of accidental genius, because for one of the most map-paintery, long-game supporting factions, Empire's tech panel is ridiculously small in vanilla. This let's me keep the Tech screen alive much longer in super long campaigns.

This is pretty cool. I like the new toys added with Elspeth, but I prefer Karl as my main imperial dude. But would you reconsider adding the Knights of Morr and Amethyst units as recruitable as well? I feel like some of the tech tree upgrades should make you able to recruit these guys as well, or perhaps tie them to the landmark gunnery building in Nuln to make them recruitable either as regiments of renown or just regular army guys.

Some Gelt stuff added in another tree would be great as well, since he just got some nice new toys in the last update.

This is soooooo close to my idea integration of the new Empire mechanics for Franz:

- To get access to the Gunnery School, you first need to build the tier 4 College of Nuln to get access to the 1st and 2nd tier. The 3rd tier and 4th tier require the tier 5 College of Nuln. You only get access to the non-magical upgrades this way

- To get access to Amethyst units, you need an upgraded Garden of Morr in Nuln and to have recruited Ellie. Only she can recruit Amethyst units or use the Gardens, but she can increase her unit cap via her unique character skill line instead of thru tech, and by the end she can have 12 Amethyst units in her army instead of the regular 8.

-To get access to Gelt's stuff, u need to recall him so he can actually do his job as Supreme Patriarch (read: Confederate him or have an event where he will come back if his faction falls) and build up the College at Altdorf to max level.

Probably a Herculean task of modding, but it'd be so sick.

strange question but can you also do this for ikit claw upgrades for the other skaven in a tech format :D ?.

in wh2 someone did it, but he never made a wh3 version and i'm to much of a imbicile to get it to work myself XD

@mickiedn I mostly just used the modding wiki for total war and Da Modding Den discord, and if I ever struggled with something I downloaded a mod that did exactly that and tried to understand what they did

What about making it an MCT option? I would personally just play for a long time to confederate Elspeth, rushing her down is the player's choice.

@mickiedn Are you talking about the the unique mechanics (academy, amethyst armoury, gardens of morr), or the buffs that Elspeth's faction gets (-15% upkeep, double experience for gunnery units etc.)?

We can all pretend that instead of directly commanding Nuln Gunnery School to do the research with schematics, the other Imperial faction have to commission the School.

@Stephince I have absolutely no idea how to make my mod usable with MCT, but I do agree having every empire faction have the technology isn't ideal (though I doubt it'd be overpowered. empire minor factions get crushed regardless pretty early). I'd prefer if it was player-only myself. It'll have to wait though. I felt I needed to get it out to other factions first, since a lot of people were asking

Can it be restricted to specific lords via MCT? The Empire might be a bit strong if every lord can upgrade things.
