well now its just final touches with a new mech not covered in my messy troubleshooting
If I remember why I made the head a subgrid, its because the head wouldn't fit into where it is right now unless it is on another grid. Some of the blocks would be in the same zone as blocks on the main grid. But if needed I can look into it
The original Colossus was just designed as a chassis that people could modify and weaponize however they would like. So yes, something like striker eureka is definitely possible
However, check out my Eternal Colossus mech that is also on the workshop. It is significantly larger than the lore size of Jaegers, but it takes many design beats from that kind of concept, and is where I got many ideas that led to me making this Imperator!
Yes, by default the big turret on top and the arms have their joints locked. One of the toolbars has a button that will unlock/lock each of those whenever you would like
