It's likely that I haven't considered that part, however the gauge fills up much quicker than it does in CrossCode as a means to make elements committal plus you can cancel on hit into Neutral Special to change your element. I will probably ask other people who have played the character what they think first though.

Elemental overload decreases so slowly if you swap to neutral without first overloading on an element. Is this an intentional balance decision? As it stands there is absolutely no reason to switch back to neutral as you will get your elements back much faster by overloading, which is the opposite of how it plays in CrossCode. I could very much see overload decreasing on hit with a neutral attack.

HI! HI! HI! HI! HI! LEA! HI!
Aperson  [author] 19 Jul, 2024 @ 3:25pm
No, just knowing you were using a controller is good enough for me to test. I will see if the controller input issue is a thing for me or not (I use a PS5 controller)
keblakev 19 Jul, 2024 @ 3:02pm
@author: Not at all. I am using a controller. Can you please be more specific about what ou are asking?
Are you asking for how I set what each button on the controller does in the game (like, attack, strong , special etc)?
Aperson  [author] 13 Jul, 2024 @ 4:45pm
Any specific control setup you are using? The system is working fine on my end.
keblakev 13 Jul, 2024 @ 1:32pm
I am having a hard time switching element.
It was working before the first time she was released.
So far when I press Nspecial, the element menu opens. But then I press or hold any direction to select an element but she wont do anything. Then the enemy kills me.

That's how Jabs in base cast mostly work anyway. You can tech the second hit to escape the third one.

That being said I may tweak things to allow for cancels into Ftilt to work better since there are times that move misses.
GrimMadjick 3 Jul, 2024 @ 1:38am
On the contrary, her forward smash is ridiculously powerful. Kinda crazy.
GrimMadjick 3 Jul, 2024 @ 1:25am
Lea's jab 2 does not function. The move itself works of course, but it does not [true] follow up into anything. Not jab 3, no tilts, nothing. Mostly an issue against CPU's with perfect techs, but an issue regardless.

Just added a Secret Taunt. Based on a certain dance...

I'm so glad that Lea CrossCode is finally finished :]

I don't plan to implement such a feature sorry. Learned the hard way from previous characters that messing with universal mechanics in order to be more faithful to the source material actually compromises gameplay.

It's a cool idea, but I would just want the Parry shield to be a flavour thing and not actually affect gameplay.
Conway™ 13 Jun, 2024 @ 6:54am
would it be [interesting/possible/at all balanced] for Lea to have some crosscode styled defences? like something where if she misses a parry but it's close enough, her shield takes some damage/breaks and she doesn't take damage and/or knockback, or has it reduced somehow? obviously the missed parry still shouldn't stun the opponent that would probably be way too far, but I think it could be a neat subtle effect to Lea's matchups against other characters.

YOOOO Lea! Hi Hi Hi Lea
Aperson  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 9:04am
I did recently increase the charge rate of the specials and made it so that your moves aren't cancelled anymore by Overload triggers, instead that only happens when an attack finishes. Also I increased the charge rate of SP gain on hit. So it should be balanced better, but I definitely want to tweak stuff over time to better improve the character's balance.
Dithak Barman 15 May, 2024 @ 8:08am
Its not glitched its just that the overload charge up is too fast while using skills , I will make better statement once i am free to play (I have not played her since launch so i don't know if you balanced it sorry)
Aperson  [author] 15 May, 2024 @ 7:06am
@Dithak Barman In what way?
Dithak Barman 15 May, 2024 @ 4:49am

GrimMadjick 10 May, 2024 @ 7:35pm
CROSSCODE MENTIONED!!!!!
Aperson  [author] 10 May, 2024 @ 1:45pm
Glad to hear! I probably overcomplicated for the amount of time it takes to charge up these specials vs. the pay-off so I'm definitely considering decreasing the charge times. Not quite sure about changing the Overload times as it's faster here to account for it being a multiplayer game but clearly the current stats don't go together well so I'll probably adjust charge times.
Star11931 10 May, 2024 @ 11:31am
coming from a crosscode fan, this mod is absolutely amazing!!!!!! there's lots of really cool details, and she feels really good to play!!!!!! only suggestion is making the dspecial charge times faster, cuz stuff like vermillion echo and ether snipe are almost impossible to use in an actual match, and also the overload happens so quick that you can barely use the elements (in the game it only goes down when you attack so maybe implementing that would be cool), but otherwise i love it!!!!!! :leaCheese:
Aperson  [author] 9 May, 2024 @ 3:51am
Probably should note this but if you can't access Lea's last 10 or so alts it's a Rivals bug and not something on my end.
IKeinub 8 May, 2024 @ 2:48pm
no hate, but cpu in Lea is like schizophrenical girl
Kachimi 8 May, 2024 @ 1:42am
You've put a lot of effort into this.💖💖💖
Varuna 7 May, 2024 @ 8:37pm
When I heard about Rivals of Aether's massive library of Workshop characters available, the first thing I checked was whether Lea was in the game. I was a little disappointed she wasn't, despite the huge roster of other characters I like, but I saw a post showing this mod was in progress. Basically, I've been waiting for this since just before buying the game, and the execution does NOT disappoint! Thanks for all the effort you put into representing Lea and CrossCode so well here.
Aperson  [author] 7 May, 2024 @ 11:55am
Made a small change to how the Overload works. So now it works like how it does in CrossCode where your moves won't be cancelled by Elemental Overload, it will just release the charge instead.
Andres 7 May, 2024 @ 10:30am
I love this
Aperson  [author] 7 May, 2024 @ 2:55am
@SupaFella0 For element exclusive attacks yes.

I am planning to tweak the element exclusive recoveries so that they don't go into pratfall unless you have done the actual recovery part however so that should happen in a future patch.
SupaFella0 6 May, 2024 @ 8:32pm
Is going into elemental overload supposed to cancel your current attack/animation?
Paco 5 May, 2024 @ 5:18pm
Your best character yet, you've really gotten a lot better at this.
