Neat system, would there be a way to make 'groups' of vehicle, so that i can select targets on all vehicle at once, would be nice if you got multiple anti-air or stuff

You should look for a lua script node start with '--datalink3dataRecieving' and the 1st number output is the 'ID'

ID is random and not synced when multiplayer game. if you want to know your ID, check the upper left corner of the screen.

Okay, thanks for the answer! Do you know the game Carrier Command 2 by Geometa? The game features some really impressive drones, and the carrier systems are quite advanced. Could you build something similar to CC2 that integrates with your data link?

Yes, there's 'circle radius' setting function. But currently, my fixed-wing project has been indefinitely postponed.
I might work on it after my next creation is released.

About multiplayer — like you said, missiles may bug out.
I tested it again, and it seems to happen when there's packet loss (press F1 to check).
In bad network, missiles might:
- Get stuck on the launcher
- Fly in the wrong direction
But with good connection and stable TPS, it all works fine.
So I think the system is solid, both for host and guest. The real issue is likely game sync, not the system itself.
BTW, I uploaded an area defense system using data-link missiles.
I’ve tested it for quite a while — usually it works great as long as there’s no network issue.
Try it, and give me further feedback please.

it seems like the example missile doesnt work in dedicated servers, ill give more feedback once i have tried in a peer-to-peer

Thank you for the feedback. I have exchanged the example missile to my newest design.
It should work well now.
This missile is also be used in 'TWS System Demo' .
The TWS system is using data-link to send target coordinate to missiles.
It also be tested and work well in multiplayer when not host.

known issues in v 3.5:
JTAC targets may not share correctly when skipping target order.
Multi-target real-time sharing is not working correctly now.
These issues are internal issues in the 'sending' LUA.
New code is ready , will update in 10 hrs.

Hey everyone, I’m happy to announce that the DataLink has been upgraded to 3.5!
I’ve reworked the whole button system, UI system, and UAV control system, and improved a lot of small details.
Even though it doesn’t look like much has changed overall, I think you’ll like it!

Hey McBurgen, thanks for the feedback! That was my mistake. I’ve updated the whole UAV control system, so now with the latest version, you can switch between multiple drones to control.

By sending radio signal in 1 tick per several random ticks. Even two vehicle send signal in same time, next time they won't conflict again.

Oh ok saved me a lot of time cuz almost all my vehicles got a datalink 2 which I made more compact to fit very small vehicles and doing that took me bloody 6 hours..

I have been using it in almost all of my "modern-ish" creations, i realy enjoyed the v2 and now i can't wait to use the v3 :D

Thanks for your answer, If it can help, when I use your creation exemple it's works. But when I put them on my creation it's not working. I've also notified that when I not put the tracking radar on pivot the system work perfectly. So it's possible that the problem is just the game.

the built-in tracking radar is not that accurate so it outputs many dummy or wrong targets.
I will update it after I found a way to deal with.. and thank you for you feedback!

Hello, I have a problem with the Tracking radar. When a target was detected 2 or 3 enemy ping are created and just one of us is the target. And I need to press DEL to delete other ping. I don't know how to resolve this. For information I use 2 phalanx radar, 1 for search (Clockwise, pitch angle = 0.02, FOV X = 0.04 and FOV Y = 0.1) and 1 for targeting (Static, pitch angle = 0.02, FOV X = 0.05 and FOV Y = 0.8). However it's honestly the best creation that was ever made in my opinion. Data link II was already insane but data link III is a rank above.

so i decided not to convert the signal into a num out. then i stated tinkering with the gps aiming sample. to try to get it to work with the laze trt. but duing testing, it would only spin and tilt upwards towards the aircraft when i input a waypoint for it to lock onto. im sorry if this doesnt make sense. my brain has a hard time describing things

And then you said 'gps aiming demo is not working' I guess, I checked it with the 'external tgt example' right now, it is working.
I wonder where the signal is coming and to go, please tell me.

i decided againts that and used the GPS aim sample from the board. but it does not point the camera or lazer in the right direction, and just spins and tilts up

the gps of the target you are selecting is been output by the 27, 28, 29 number signal of 'radio send ' composite signal .

SONAR is not included. But you can use other SONAR Target systems and input a target xyz signal into 'External target ' to show and share SONAR target.
