Just wanted to inform you that instead of making Horse Artillery the unit type green, you made Horse Artillery the offensive-economic policy green.

@evlarg1 nah it just makes the units considered to be the best by the community green, there's no calculation or anything going on in-game. Very useful though when you're new and don't quite know how to pick the best unit type for your situation yet.

super noob here, but how does it determine the best unit type? like a calculation based on your generals traits?

As @bjorg bjorgenson said theres a problem with the horse artillery unit and the policy, not sure if you can fix this or not but it would be nice.
Great mod btw, makes it really quick to always be sure that i have the best!

Seems like the policy Horse Artillery is being colored green instead of the identically-named unit type. The unit type is just default color.

Is there a reason that Man At Arms is recommended over Galloglaigh at Western Tech 5? If I recall it was the other way around in the other mod.

@Democratic leader there are different optimal units for each tech group. additionally, this is just the overall best unit groups, depending on your specific playstyle(namely if you play a game where you stack attrition/defensiveness modifiers) you'd pick different units, so the idea of the mod is just to ease the transition between playing in different tech groups and standard play

I would check the link I post bellow. There are explanations for every tech type. I should note that the artillery hasn't been updated, but the rest was. There are also a few links to videos/forum posts which explain the unit choices.
