For some reason land battles keep crashing. I can't figure out why. Sea battles and the campaign are fine, but land battles crash as soon as I hit the load screen.

Just a note: Multiplayer isn't very stable, turns go out of sync and breaks down after 8 to 12 turns.
Lovely mod, but hopefully it'll get more stable over time for Coop.

As always, the mod allows you to play as Portugal, and the Portuguese also speak Japanese..
There's no way to do it like with the mods for additional factions from the OvN Lost Factions project for TW Warhammer 3, there should be a mod similar to Audio Mixer from TW Warhammer 3.

When AI merges fleets, it can cause the game to crash .Two archives, one in 90 rounds and the other in 50 rounds, both experienced the same issue. It is unknown what kind of ship the AI built that caused this problem.

Inside the startpos.esf using something like EditSF you'll able to look at it inside and modify anything.

It has been awhile everyone. It seems the mod doesn't work with other OS besides Windows 10/11 OS, therefore I recommend not to use this mod if you're not using Windows 10/11 OS. For the future bug it would take maybe months before it's fix released, the only reason is that I am quite busy with other stuff so you may fix it yourself or ask someone for the meantime... the mod is for everyone to use and modify privately unless the other authors permits you, then you may do it publicly and publish it anyway. Ty everyone I hope u understand.

Update Notice!
- If you have been subscribed to this mod for an extended period, you may have encountered a situation where the mod manager and Steam indicate that it is up to date, but the in-game user interface (UI) still displays the old version or certain factions are missing. In such cases, please follow the solution provided below:

- Somehow, the auto-updates feature is not functioning properly. I recently experienced this issue on my laptop when I had an older version of the mod EJ (MCP) [MAIN & PORTUGAL] and the Widescreen Version of it. Fortunately, I discovered a solution: instead of relying on the auto-update(steam) and re-subscribe option, you need to re-download the mod. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Delete the folder named "ui_cache" located within your \AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2
2. Delete the files located within your SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\34330 folder.
3. Re-download each mod using the Mod Manager.

@Muzzleflipmckracken, make sure you have the correct mod manager load order.
@Imaginarium, I have made adjustments to the Portugal clan's AI behavior, making them more aggressive and making them leave their island at the beginning of the campaign using a script, maybe they have lost the battle against AI as well.

Side note. After I disabled your widescreen I found Portugal just fine. Idk if that is intentional or not that Portugal doesn't show up with WideScreen Version enabled. but it doesn't.

Whenever I load this mod, Portugal isn't here. At all. Thought it may have been other mods, but disabled all my others except this one and WIdeScreen. Put them in the load order as they're supposed to be, but Portugal is the only faction missing.

don't use discord. i asked around and the bullet proof modifier is an active modifer and not based on armour stats. they should really be added to the top elite adventurer unit! the musketeer unit currently feels pointless and should be named hunters or something in portoguese and be given an early rifle musket. they would have a really slow reload though but longer range and more accurate. they would also be quite expensive hence why rifled muskets was not really used until a later date as light infantry troops. and not the standard weapon until the 1800s.

it's something the Date samurai have. in real life the armour there wearer has a pretty good chance to save you from a matchlock bullet! i can probably add that myself if it's an simple ability indeed. i was looking into early repeaters(1500s) and rifles is this something you might consider adding to expand the Portuguese roster?

@[TPPL] King Leonidas, I am not familiar with the exact mechanics of the bulletproof ability, but it appears that they can withstand approximately half the matchlock shots compared to standard units. It is noteworthy that all matchlock or firearm damage typically bypasses armour. Given that Portugal units are already powerful, granting them a bulletproof ability would be considered quite advantageous, possibly even overpowered. If you wish, you can utilize modding tools to customize this mod according to your preferences.

@[TPPL] King Leonidas, Why would you construct a military port and drydocks when playing as the Portugal faction? I am guessing you have a military port or drydocks because of a conquered land?... in that case you can just demolish it and build a new one. Also, Galleons, Caravels, and Merchant Caravels are exclusively accessible through all Nanban ports and are specific to the Portugal faction only. In response to the mentioned game limitation, my answer is yes.

@JasonXIA, It seems like the problem is that the line of code for .loc doesn't recognize any name of a localisationID. The only solution is that you'll have to modify the grand_campaign_japan file and find "Select a Faction/Clan:" and "Choose a Faction/Clan Above". If you don't know how you can just give me a translation for "Select a Faction/Clan:" and "Choose a Faction/Clan Above" and I will send you the grand_campaign_japan file.
